HELLO! I am passionate about helping young singers achieve their goals, whether they be getting into a college music program, getting a lead in the school musical, impressing at karaoke, or just being slightly less embarrassing to your family when belting out pop tunes in the car! No dream is too small!
My teaching philosophy is simple: Strive to be a better singer today than you were yesterday. You cannot achieve great success without thousands of smaller successes along the way!
I have been a professional opera singer for 20 years (and plan to continue to be once it is safe to have live performances again...). With over 22 years of experience teaching both classical and musical theatre techniques, I can help students of all musical interests and backgrounds achieve their musical goals.
Send me a message if you have any questions. I look forward to hearing from you!

Every person is unique and experiences their instrument in a unique way. My teaching method is highly individualized, addressing a student's psyche as much as their instrument, and relying on their feedback to make sure they understand successes or setbacks. In terms of pedagogy, I believe that the voice should be built from the top down, first strengthening the middle/higher notes and allowing for a smooth transition between the passaggi before teaching any "belting". This will ensure that vocal health is the primary goal so the student can sing for as long as they want! After vocal health, my concern is that students have fun so they keep singing. I celebrate successes (and attempts) as much as possible and take any failures or setbacks as a sign that I didn’t communicate something effectively. I have experience teaching all ages but if I am to take charge of a young voice I will need to ensure that children (under the age of 14) are committed to their vocal health by first ...

Music Lessons should be fun!
Finding the right Piano or Voice Instructor will shape the way a student feels about music. When we make music we share a vulnerable and very unique part of ourselves. As a teacher, I strive to encourage, inspire and create an atmosphere for learning that is uniquely different for each of my students. My teaching style focuses on important skills but also emphasizes self-exploration and perhaps discovering a passion for something new. Take a look at the lessons I provide and choose the right one for you.
