Bachelor of Horn Performance and Music Education from The Eastman School of Music -
Awarded Low Horn Mock Audition Winner from The Southeastern Horn Workshop

I teach hornists of all ages, and have been teaching privately for 6 years! I have a music education and horn performance background and teach based off the learning styles that best meet a student’s needs. I have experience with teaching young and mature beginners, elementary-high school, and college. I love helping students prepare for college auditions and exploring different options as to how music can be a part of their life. A unique process I love for teaching : using my students’ favorite song or artist to build fundamentals on the horn!
About Emily
I have been playing the horn for 11 years! I have an undergraduate degree in Horn performance and music education from the Eastman School of Music where I was also nominated for and won a Performance Certificate. I continued on to become the teaching assistant for the Pennsylvania State University

A friend of mine said she had taken lessons from a Don DeBold for about 5 years before going off to college and highly recommended him.
I've now been taking lessons from Don for almost 2 years and having a blast ! I've learned how to play along with most of my favorite songs (mainly Blues and Rock) and now I'm learning to play Solo Guitar that needs no accompaniment !
Unlike my first teacher, during many lessons Don barely plays or even has his Strat on his lap because he's busy concentrating on what I'm doing !
He's a stickler yet lots of fun at the same time> I super recommend him as a Guitar and Music Teacher !!! Aneiah J.

Book NowThat bone crushing riff, the iconic solo, an instantly recognizable reverb-laden intro: everyone has guitar hero fantasies, and it's my goal to bring students from 'if only I could play that' to actually playing. But I go further than just teaching riffs and solos: I focus on learning songs and teaching basic chord and scale theory to develop technical ability and improvisational technique. I also believe learning is exponentially easier when students enjoy the songs they play, so ideally all learning material is based off of the student's individual music library. I aim to help you get that song out of your head and into your hands.

Benk is very flexible, affordable and our son took to him very well. He even records what he has learned each week so we both can keep track of his progress. He is much more affordable then other drum teachers or studio's in the area, and even will come to your home.
If you are looking for a GREAT Teacher you should take some time to talk to Benk.

I think the singing lessons with Aryls are amazing! I can feel and hear my voice getting fuller and louder and my self feeling more confident as I sing. The lessons are also versatile because I can apply them to singing but I can also apply to my own talking voice. She makes singing fun but at the same time, she takes teaching me seriously. What's especially helpful is, since I'm a science person, she explains the science behind the voice, which helps me look at the voice on a whole different level. I would definitely recommend her to anybody, as I have had a lot of progress with her."
