Love Sharon! My 13-year-old daughter takes voice lessons with her and Sharon is funny, positive, and very energetic.
My daughter has said she would not go to anyone else. Sharon is great with young students and getting the most out of them, especially if they’re a bit shy. We look forward to seeing her every week and I highly recommend her as an instructor.

I highly recommend Sharon as a piano instructor. She is very enthusiastic, encouraging and patient. Also her way of teaching is amazing. I am an adult beginner who had taken a few lessons with another instructor before. Though I did pick up some terminologies, I like the way Sharon goes back to basic and teach me the fundamentals without assuming me know it. These are essential for me to progress further.

I honestly don't know where to begin. Sharon West has helped me in so many ways! Not just vocally but in all aspects of performing and in life. I was a 13 year old little girl when I met Sharon for the first time. I immediately knew she was the person that was going to help me achieve my goals. I don't know how I got so lucky to have had the opportunity to work with such an amazing, caring and loving vocal coach but I was totally blessed! Thank you, Sharon for all that you have done for me. Love you lots Sharon

Marcelle is a wonderful teacher. She always makes you feel comfortable, listens to your concerns, and gives great tips/ways into establishing a good technique. I had lessons with her over the summer, and in that little time I felt like I'd grown a lot. That fall, I auditioned for a show at my university that made me sing in a style I've never been comfortable with. It was a really strenuous process and nearly all of the singers strained their voices. My voice adapted because I had a great foundation.

About Granville
I operate in the music arena as a touring musician; a Music Director for musicals, jazz ensembles and choirs; a composer & songwriter; a band teacher at my local elementary school, a private instructor and a producer with a degree in Jazz Composition and Professional Music from Berklee College of Music. I am currently performing and writing with Divinity Roxx (Beyonce, Victor Wooten, etc.), Elle Winston, Kate Vargas and others. Most of my writing and creating is done here in my private studio. I am proud to have produced tracks featured by the likes of Elton John on his Beats 1 Radio (Apple Music) station. That is to say, I'm really proud of the artists and having such an inspired space.

I have, and continue to be honored to perform all over the world with some of the most prolific players this planet has seen and those it will experi
ence in the coming years. I find playing music can be a great source of inspiration and release. But most importantly, everyone has a voice to be heard through music.

I have taught privately since I was in high school on my own. Over the years, I have also been affiliated with some amazing entities. Additionally, my work in arts administrative (Brooklyn Academy of Music -BAM, UVA Music) translates into my ability to show you skills that will garnish success when you aren't playing music.

My students can expect growth in knowledge of rhythm, understanding of music and song forms. Your timing will improve! Your feel for styles (blues, rock, jazz, hip hop, EDM, etc.) will improve! Your technique will be through the roof!! I empower my students to do whatever they can dream to do with music, whether it is for personal enrichment or personal ambition.

I will demystify anything you feel is outside of your reach and grow you into the musician you want to be. My private studio is a fully equipped playground for the musically-minded with all the tools and materials you need to grow as a musician, so all you need to bring is your imagination. I look forward to the journey.

When my son was 11, he decided to take piano lessons. Mr Montavo, asked him why he chose that instrument and proceeded to have a conversation about the importance of practicing and not giving up. He is an amazing pianist and has a good knowledge of how to help kids succeed and grow as a musician. He helps with educating the parents on what kind of keyboard, piano, and music is best for your child

am interested in teaching you these simple techniques and putting them to practice. My technique is for the contemporary or musical theater singer. I have studied the Seth Riggs Method and am a graduate of John Henny's Los Angeles program (John Henny Voice) and am one of very few teachers in CT that offer a science based approach. I can get new students on the path to singing quickly. I can also help with auditions and any problems that experienced singers may have in general or with specific songs. I will never draw out lessons or try to "slow teach" as I have seen many places do exactly that.

Apart from my wife and family, music is the most important thing in my life. I love to see and hear immediate improvements to my student's singing. I also really love to help students work through challenging songs and song parts.

I worked with
several classical teachers over the years. I found, although helpful, they did not have a great understanding of the voice, how to truly control sound, and the specifics of contemporary singing (my style). That changed when I found and studied with John Henny from Los Angeles (John Henny Music Academy). John is teacher to the stars and for many years worked for Seth Riggs who taught Michael Jackson and other celebrities. John took his method to the next level which is the basis of what I teach. I also have a Voice Pedagogy Certificate from Boston Conservatory.

About Marshall
I have musical knowledge gained in a number of diverse experiences: In college I studied with L.A. studio legend Michael Anthony who played on hit records in the 60s and 70s (including The Beach Boys!); After completing my degree in music, I taught youth music lessons and camps in Albuquerque, New Mexico, through a local musician-run LLC called Rock 101. I was a co-founder of bands that played various venues across the West; I played rock on multiple instruments in touring bands that played regularly at local and state-wide venues, in Austin, Texas, during SXSW, in Chicago, Colorado and more. I have since re-located to Connecticut where I teach guitar professionally.

I have always valued being a diverse musician and have pursued this not only through music, but its related fields by working in event coordination and audio production. The
se experiences helped my personal development and have allowed me to learn where my passions lie, and what skills a musician today should develop. I love that there is always more to learn in music and that’s one of the splendors of it!

Learning to Read Music: An Introduction for Singers
Learning to read music can be a daunting task for beginner singers! Here, Ann Arbor, MI voice teacher Elaina R. shows you how to get started...   Not to point out the obvious, but as singers, we don’t have keys on our instrument. We don’t have buttons that emit the same pitch every time they are pressed. Most of us don’t have perfect pitch, either.
