Who says Math can't be fun??? I find innovative ways to help you remember the necessary formulas that are needed to help you solve the problem.

About Rosita
I have been singing and studying voice for over 23 years since I was a child! I hold a Bachelors from Musicians Institute and other accomplished degrees from American Musical Dramatic Academy to conclude my quest for vocal excellence and the ability to sing in multiple languages ( English, Spanish, Japanese and Italian) I have been lucky enough to study with some of the top teachers in the country and now I bring the experience I have gained directly to you!

I am proud to share my student's vast array of musical successes. From being cast on short anime films and musicals to being accepted into prestigious performing arts academies to conquering the Karaoke scene. My passion for multiple languages and love of music is the desire driving me to share the gifts for teaching young children to open the door to their own musical abilities an
d hidden artistic desires. I am currently writing a musical which will be debuting in 2020. I'm currently the vocal coach/Trainer and choir director at Iglesia Elim Central.

I will make sure my students have fun and help them get in the right track to their musical goals.

Also, I constantly upload videos on Singing, The Spanish Language, and Japanese! So keep Checking in! It ranges on tips and answering the most common questions on those particular subjects!

Also There are discounted rates for worship teams and church choirs. For more information please contact me through the "Ask a Question feature"

*** Lesson Details ***
I do my absolute best to create a positive atmosphere for my students. Even when the students feel frustrated or stressed, it is important to inspire them and give them the fuel that they need. Though I am strict when it comes to homework and their about their studies. Every lesson at the beginning I will review what we learned previously and test them.
then begin with proper breathing technique exercises, the cornerstone of all vocals. We move on to vocal exercises to condition the voice. Then we work on the songs that you are eager to sing!

I will use a piano when doing vocal warm ups and conditioning exercises. Students that play other instruments and accompany themselves when performing (such as a guitar) are encouraged to bring that instrument to their lessons. My goal is for them to gain the knowledge that they need to help reach their artistic goals.
With all my lessons every student will be taught a basic run down of Music Theory. My students will always progress in what they do. They will have the discipline that they need and yet have fun and be filled with inspiration. Which is the most important thing, to be Inspired to do better.

*** Studio Equipment ***
iMac, condensing mic...performing mic, keyboard, mixer...living room of apartment.

*** Travel Equipment ***
I do have a portable keyboard. Though I do expect the student to have their own recording device and karaoke tracks. At Home I do have a studio, and if the students has an iPod or an Mp3 player I can attach it to a device where all of us can hear the tracks. I do have a recording studio as well.

*** Specialties ***
I specialize in Musical Theatre, and Pop rock genres. When I teach my students I always have them learn a song of another language whether it's Spanish or Japanese. It helps with diction when they learn a song outside the English Language. Also, It helps them to learn another Language at the same time. Also, I give them a little anatomy class when they are learning how to sing. I give them a model of the Vocal Cords and different areas of the Larynx and which part works for the chest voice and the head voice.

If you will like more information Click "Ask a Question" and all questions will go directly to me!

or looking to "spice up" your playing ability, Numan is the teacher for you.
He's patient, knowledgable and always go's the extra mile to help me during our lessons together. I've had previous teachers who charged more and are nowhere near as talented; my playing has inproved drastically since studying with him and friends have noticed..Highly Recommended!

Numan first of all is a great guitar player. He has studio experience, and has played professionally for years. He has taught me many great techniques in playing guitar. He has patience and is very clear and thorough when teaching and works at the students pace. In just a short while I was already learning some of my favorite songs, reading music, scales, music theory and writing my own tunes! I definitely recommend this teacher if you want to learn the guitar from top to bottom.

Numan is the real deal. I spent years putting off taking guitar lessons as I've never been the best student. A friend of mine recommend Numan and I thought I'd give him a try. His teaching style is very patient and thorough. He does not get frustrated and works with me at my pace. He's also the best guitar player I've ever known. In just a few months I'm playing at a level I never thought I'd be able to. I cannot recommend Numan enough.

In its basic conceptual form, Algebra is a form of Mathematics with an equation and variables. An equation is "solved" when the values on either side of the = sign are balanced, and the variables bing an equation to life!

Curriculum will be discussed with the student so as to understand goals and co-create a pathway for learning.

A long term goal of mine is to help students gain new skills and self confidence to inspire future learning!

About Joshua
I am a tutor who earned a music teaching degree, substitute taught, and didn't become a school teacher. I held professional tech retail jobs and am supplementing my life with my passion - education.

Whatever subject or instrument I teach, I celebrate students' successes; and I enjoy helping learners have new aha moments.

The majority of my students take guitar, bass guitar, or Spanish lessons. I am an educator and help my students learn other skills and knowledge sets too.

I went to Ohio State University for college, earned a BA in Music Education, and graduated Cum Laude. I also spent 4 years in the Ohio State University Marching Band.

Through my healing journey, I've developed patience, insight, and understanding for my students' learning processes.

I'm excited to help you incorporate new skills into your life!

In California, Algebra is intended to be required Math for ALL students to graduate High School. Whether it's started in 8th grade, 9th or later, even in college ... there are often struggles for students. I prefer to do an assessment of math basics and then write an individual program to review things that may be needed while also teach/tutor the current math class "homework help." It's most helpful to a student if I observe their style of working through problems and can ask questions to clarify their understanding. So I'll teach if the student has no clue or is misunderstanding a concept. However, more often I'm like a COACH to encourage their strengths and teach or create & find ways to improve their weaknesses. My favorite success is the student who says "I didn't have to memorize a zillion formulas. I just KNOW the Math stuff."

About Kat
Hi! My name is Kat. I've tutored math off & on all of my life, well at least since 3rd grade. I graduated college with a BS in Math & a Teaching Credential in 1973. However, I worked as an Engineer most of my adult life including a lot of computer programming, technical analyses, strategic planning and public speaking. I have a lot of experience with APPLYING math concepts as well as tutoring them! I also tutor Reading Comprehension as easily & effectively as Math.

I love to answer the student questions about "why am I learning this?" and "when will I ever use this." I specialize in all math from very basic up through Algebra I and Geometry because #1= I love them! #2= I can usually relate ANY math concept you need to learn to your own present life and future goals and #3= I can teach most concepts 3 or more different ways, as
needed, until you're sure you know it.

I've had my own tutoring business for ten years and helped hundreds of students. I've also trained dozens of tutors. I recently moved from Northern California to Connecticut. I look forward to meeting you & making math FUN!

This course focuses on Algebra based on the current knowledge of the student, the first day we will assess what math concepts that are missing from your understanding, catching up with those holes, and adjusting a path forward in progress into college and university level Algebra used in Physics, Calculus, Trigonometry, Biology, Chemistry, and possibly many forms of any Bachelor Studies and Guaranteed in Graduate students in Computing, Physics, Chemistry or Business Courses.

About Christopher
With eight years experience at Valencia College and 2 years at University of Central Florida I have experienced a wide variety of students between the ages 7 to 60 years. This experience has enabled me to customize lessons in one to one sessions with each unique student and their unique needs.

My teaching methodologies include plenty of visual aids, simile's, and clear communication with a strong emphasis on Socratic questioning to stimulate critical thought in helping to understand and take control of the information to be learned.

Sessions include visual and auditory components to learning and for students who need kinetic interaction to fulfill their learning process assignments can be assigned or custom problems can be created to be solved with an overview process of what is understood and what needs to be better diagnosed.

I would love to become involved and help strengthen the math skills of your high schooler! I am currently tutoring a number of high schoolers and have seen a huge boost in their confidence and abilities and would love to work with yours.  In addition to reinforcing the fundamentals, and dissecting advanced material so it is more easily understood, I plan to initially is to examine their thought process, and then deconstruct their approach so it becomes more systematic and methodical.

I had a near perfect SAT math score (780 when it was scored out of 800) and also attended UPenn. But most importantly I can get him/her to raise her math score! My general strategy is to identify the type of question (Alg, Trig, Geometry etc) s/he struggles with and to examine hish/er thought process tackling these questions. I have also counseled students and parents on college admissions process since I was a counselor for UPenn undergrads for graduate school admissions.

I excelled in math ...

About Craig
Welcome students and parents: You may not know it yet, but stumbling upon my page may change your life for the better. With me, your immersion into the world of science and education may open up opportunities that may alter your children's future path.

I have tutored students at the junior/high school, and college levels. As a teaching assistance for undergraduates at the Ivy league, the Univ of Pennsylvania, I teach pupils to dissect problems and challenges into manageable components. This was my stepping stone into a professorial role. I am originally from NYC, and attended Stuyvesant, so I also help tutor students with the SSAT and SHSAT. Knowledge and understanding alone does not make a good educator, it is the ability to transmit such skills which is remarkable.

I have a Master's of Science of Biochemical Engineering from the
University of Pennsylvania, and a Bachelor's of Science in biomedical sciences from King's College, University of London.

Craig is a marvelous tutor. For my twins, he brought up their MATH SAT 130 and 150 points respectively. With my middle schooler he has helped bring up her SSAT to the 94% (percentile) getting her into our top choice. He is thorough and meticulous tutor teaching them how to find and fix their own mistakes.

I have been teaching and/or tutoring Algebra II since 2003 at the middle school, high school, and university level, in person and online. Algebra requires patience and attention to detail, which I help the student achieve while at the same time converting frustration into determination and growth.

About Nathan
Math Tutor and Teacher - Personal or Online - Skillful and Effective

I love tutoring and my approach is three-fold. First, I help each person learn how to become more successful and independent lifelong learners. Second, each tutee should complete their assignments as much as possible before each session so we can identify and focus on specific trouble spots. Third, I work within the framework and scope of their primary mathematics teacher to supplement and augment what is happening in the classroom.

I have experience as a nationally certified tutor, tutoring in high school and college, as well as volunteer tutoring of the GED math tests. I have also taught middle and high school mathematics and instructed college mathematics. I enjoy working with teenagers and adults of all ages. My tutoring and teaching experience includes element
ary school to grand parents in age, as well as non-traditional students, and Veterans.

I also teach university math remediation classes (AKA developmental education) as well as classes to bypass remediation by preparing for the Accuplacer/Compass admission tests.

I am familiar and comfortable with current technology (graphing calculators, computer algebra systems, computers, mathematics programming) as well distance learning (online homework and testing and MyMathLab, WebAssign, Khan Academy, Skype, etc.).

In addition to tutoring online I enjoy working in person with each student. Meeting at local public libraries is ideal as some branches have reservable private and safe study rooms with white boards.

For each appointment the tutee needs to bring all their materials, text book, class notes, completed homework (as much as possible), specific questions for me, and any completed instructions from our previous session. If online homework is used in class then please bring a laptop. If you don't have one, there are often Chromebooks available for checkout at the library. One hour appoints are preferred because they allow more time for specific learning and growth.

Additionally, I can supplement or substitute regular homework with specific and tailored lesson plans.

Shortly after each session, I will report our progress and my obervations, including instructions for follow up.

I strongly recommend use of the WyzAnt app for easier communication and calendaring purposes.

I enjoy helping each tutee recognize that they are, in fact, capable of learning and succeeding in mathematics. I look forward to the opportunity to serve.

About Ryan
Hello my name is Ryan T. I am a full time writer and am the author of The Tale of Thorne series. I am currently working on many different projects involving new sci-fi/fantasy related stories.
My students can not only expect to improve their writing skills, but also their personal well being as a unique writer. I teach my students how to generate their brilliant ideas into a real life book. In the lessons I will also teach you how to overcome writers block in just a few minutes, plot structure, character development, how to market a book, who to publish through, differences between having an agent and self publishing, how to get through your first signing, and so much more.
It does not matter your age, I started practicing creative writing by myself when I was only 11 years old. I also got started on my first book that I published wh
en I was only a freshman in High School, and things only got more exciting from there. I can easily adjust to your needs to learn and am able to answer whatever questions you have.
Just this past year my book has hit the shelves of several major retailers, and I am also in the works of putting together an animated series. I am sure you have worked or are willing to work just as hard as I have to get to this point. Let's make your dream become a reality.
