Hi everyone! I'm a hard-working musician with a background in live performance, songwriting, composition, and home recording. I want to help you perform the music you love, whether you're playing to your family, your webcam, or a 15,000 seat arena. I have been teaching private music lessons since 2007.
I am a graduate of UCSD, where I completed my bachelor's degree in music theory and composition. I have taken years of private lessons, played bass, guitar, and mandolin in local and touring bands, and my music has been featured on at least 7 albums. I want to make your goals accessible, and I want to help you find your sound.

p people get better at sounding like themselves.
During lessons from me, you can expect to play, sing, clap your hands, and become completely immersed in the music you love. Whether your goal is to perform in front of an audience, record albums, or just play for fun in your living room, I'll help you make that happen.
*** Studio Equipment ***
Music room, seating available, street parking.
*** Travel Equipment ***
I only teach students who provide their own instrument. I am willing to provide a loaner guitar for the week if a student's instrument needs to be repaired or is not accessible for any reason. I also provide homework when necessary :)
*** Specialties ***
I specialize in teaching confidence in performance practices, technique, singing and playing, and good microphone habits for singing, speaking, recording, and songwriting. I teach based on student needs, and I find each student benefits from a different curriculum.

Whether you want to begin knitting or crocheting, or already love to, there’s always something new to learn. I love all aspects of knitting and crochet - color, texture, and creation. And I love sharing all this with my students. I personally enjoy the math of it, and can help make it easy if math is not your “thing”.
Would you like to learn basic skills, hone current ones , or enhance your experience with new techniques? If you're in the middle of a project and need help, or have specifice technique(s) you'd like to work on, consider booking a 15 minute class, or a series of them.
Choose from these subjects, or tell me what you’d like to work on:
• Reading the Yarn Ball Band - Why the information on it is helpful and important
• How to use Ravelry - A knitting community full of useful information
• Fiber Math…Yes you can

• Bead Crochet – Crochet necklaces and bracelets, or embellish knitting or crochet projects with beads.

• Your wish list of knitting or crochet skills…
I have been teaching since 2012 and am available to teach lessons online and in NYC. I learned teaching skills from some of the most loved and respected teachers in well-known stores, teaching venues, and events. I look forward to working with you to achieve your goals, and have fun while we work together. As an added bonus, I teach both right and left handed as needed. Do you need a time, place, or topic not listed here? Just ask. We can probably work something out.
Enrich your fiber crafting experience. What would you like to learn? Contact me and let’s get started.

Hi! I have been a nurse for 17 years, and I love teaching! I have worked in all areas of healthcare, and have tons of stories to share. I got my PhD in nursing in 2009, and study innovative ways to teach students that are holistic and student focused. You come first.
I have 3 small children who keep me very busy. But somehow it's never busy enough for me! I always need to be doing something, and MAKING things is my passion. I do all the textile arts (knitting, quilting, sewing, etc), and love construction (electrical, plumbing, woodwork, and anything that involves power tools). I believe these are life skills for anyone, but especially for women who often didn't grow up learning all the "how to’s." I create a comfortable environment, and believe laughter is one of the best ways for learning to happen.

I'm an artist and teacher. My main mediums are oil paint, cut paper, and fiber arts. When I graduated from Pratt in 2003 I received my BFA in Illustration and Art Education. After that I went on to grad school for elementary education. The perfect combination for helping people find themselves as artists while working on my own art.
After teaching in urban and suburban schools in CT, NY and Washington DC I moved to Germany where I taught English as a Native Speaker for three years. That's where I became fluent in German, learned a lot about myself, and worked on my cut paper bird series.

I intend to continue working hard to help people reach their full potential. When you become my student you will have my full attention. I will give you the tools to reach your goals whether it's painting something you are proud of, having a conversation in German, or knitting a sweater.
