Roberta is amazing! I went to her for a little more than 3 years for voice (and piano for a little bit) and she is very helpful, skilled, friendly, knowledgable, and fun. She helped me get into my top choice college as a choral music major with a full tuition scholarship and supported me the entire way. I teach all styles of singing, but begin with the healthy basics of an operatic technique that are easily transferable to many different styles of singing - see: "Opera Voice"

About Alec
Hello! I have been teaching the fundamentals of classical singing for many years now and I have received both a Bachelor of Music and Master of Music in vocal and opera performance. I promote a fun and healthy learning environment and make sure that my students learn the technical fundamentals in breathing, relaxation, production, and projection while also enjoying the lessons! I teach all styles of singing and enjoy doing it very much. My classical and operatic training has given me a wealth of vocal knowledge and allows me to make sure all other styles of singing are done as easily and healthfully as possible allowing my students to express their talents as much as they can for the least amount of effort.

Alec is an excellent teacher. Not all talented performing artists and/ or musicians have the ability to teach well . Alec is really remarkable in his ability to assess individual ability and learning needs and to implement a plan of instruction based on sound theory. He is professional, courteous, reliable and well informed. What else is there?

I can accommodate any singing style, but will always emphasize a strong vocal foundation to improve tone, control, and comfortability while singing.

I've been teaching for 10 years and hold a Masters Degree in Music Education. I'll work with you to create a plan that will help you reach your musical goals. My goal for you as a teacher is to have fun playing and creating music.

About Abe
I've always had a love for music. I've been teaching music in the classroom and privately for 10 years. I have a Master's Degree in Music Education and am a Level 2 James Hill Ukulele Initiative certified teacher.

I'm a father 4, and have been married for 12 years.

I teach guitar, piano, bass, and singing, but my real passion is the ukulele. I believe it's the best instrument for beginners and can really stand well on it's own, unlike the traditional thought of ukulele being a toy.

When I teach, I put the student first and always make the students goals my own. I push for more, but always gently encourage to build off of successes to achieve mastery.

Learning an instrument can be a difficult task, and it takes time and dedication. It's also tremendously rewarding, and the most important thing that I want my students to gai
n is a fun experience improving and creating music.

Abe is patient and offers a lot of encouragement. He sees the improvement in me and always keeps me focused on what I'm getting right. Still, he keeps pushing without letting me become self-satisfied. I tried to learn guitar some years ago, but got nowhere and gave up. I'm really glad that I found Abe, an accomplished musician, and a very talented teacher. I'm amazed at my progress, and I owe alot to him. He's excellent.
