When I first begin teaching a student, I tell them that everyone has the ability to sing well no matter his or her experience. I also tell them that there are four things that a good singer must have: breathe control (air is your fuel, and must be used efficiently and effectively to give you the best sound), posture (in order to have access to your air and prevent vocal damage you must practice good posture habits), diction (how you pronounce words when singing can impede or improve vocal tone, as well as help or hinder the audience in understanding the lyrics) and finally and most importantly, passion. Passion is how emotionally connected you are to music and is what really allows the singer to connect with his or her audience.

Ms. Christine’s dedication to teaching and her obvious love of music make her your ideal candidate for a music teacher!"

My grand daughter loved the tine she had there and is excited about returning. She learned so much in a short time."

Eric is a really great guy! He knows his stuff and he knows how to teach it in a way that you can understand he has patience, clarity, and knowledge. Eric is also flexible i had work and had to take rearrange one of our lessons and he told me which days he was available and we got to it and had a great lesson. He wants to know from what music background your coming from so he can help you reach the place you want to be.
Looking forward to every lesson with Eric"

I have studied with Tanisha Hall for 14 months. During this time sheâs expanded my power, range, stamina, phrasing, note-perfect pitch, and stage presence. She has also kept me from damaging my chords, so I donât have a sore throat anymore. Perhaps the most critical thing Tanisha has shown me is how to AUTHENTICALLY CONNECT with audiences and form a deep bond with them during live performances.
RESULTS:
Since Tanisha has been working with me, here are the tangible results, with no exaggeration at all:
I got to sing the Star Spangled Banner for start of a 5K road race that had 3,000 runners in it, and a very large crowd of spectators.
I have been offered weekly residency at a performance venue in North Hollywood, and also a bi-weekly residency at high-end supper club in Long Beach.
I got invited to collaborate with a well-known pianist to perform Christmas songs with her at two of her most exclusive venues. She also wants to collaborate with me to sing at weddings during the wedding season.
Iâve also received offers to co-write new material and to go into the studio to cut tracks with some artists in Orange County, even though their style and genre is very different than the direction I plan to go into. They keep constantly bugging me to sing with them.
And more...
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
In summary, I simply canât tell you how critical Tanisha has been to my development (after years of going nowhere) and how LUCKY anyone is to have her as an instructor.
If she has room in her schedule to take you on as a new student, youâd better take it while you can. Even if it means driving 40 miles, youâll never find anyone better than her, for sure."

Do you dream of singing in Italian, but fear that it might be too complicated or only reserved for the advanced singer? Well, consider that myth debunked! Despite the countless genres of music and singing styles that exist in musical literature today, very few things are as timeless as the Italian art song. What is an art song? As defined by the Cincinnati Song Initiative, an art song is a vocal music composition that is written for a solo voice and piano accompaniment. Art song is the g …

Curious about how to belt safely? If you flip on Top-40 radio these days, you hear a lot of belting. But just because Ariana Grande and Bruno Mars sound great belting their lungs out doesn’t mean you know how to belt without straining your voice. In fact, if you’ve ever been to a karaoke bar, or seen a pop star live, you’ve probably heard how strained and painful belting can sound. So, what is belting anyway? And is it possible to learn how to belt without straining your voice? The …
