Your time and money is too precious to waste on a mediocre teacher. My students get results from the very first lesson. For over 20 years I've helped students of all ages go far beyond their goals; whether it's learning a favorite song, getting in a band, winning music scholarships, or learning music for school ensembles. My lessons are tailored to your interests and taught at your pace.

About Gerald

Not all teachers are the same. I've had great success as a student and a teacher; making me the best choice to help aspiring drummers reach their goals.

HIRE GERALD NOW! I've had online lessons with several teachers before Gerald. He is absolutely the best! Even over the internet he can immediately zero in on what you're doing right, wrong, then show you the quickest and easiest way to get better. The sound quality of his studio is better than any other drum teacher. Instead of using the horrible mic that's built into a laptop or iPad that distorts and sounds terrible, Gerald using a dozen professional mics to give you superior sound during every lesson. He simply gives the best experience.

Thank you!

Luther is an excellent and patient teacher. I’ve been playing guitar for nearly a decade, but have been self-taught and always neglected working on the fundamentals. With extra time on my hands during the COVID-19 pandemic, I decided to try online guitar lessons. Luther took me back to square one and has made sure I get everything perfect before moving on. It’s making me a much more consistent and disciplined guitarist, and I’m learning to read music for the first time. I wasn’t sure how useful remote guitar lessons would be before I started, but was pleased to discover that Luther makes it an excellent way to learn.

Luther is a great instructor, I came to take the class because I wanted to learn some good vocal techniques. I am not a signer but am planning to be part of a choir. He is quite knowledgeable, patient and is a great listener. I like that he is very serious about ensuring your success and knowing that has helped me to build my confidence.

About Kevin

I truly enjoy teaching. I've taught in the public school classroom for 11 years. Teaching music is so so much FUN! And it should be fun for the students to learn. When I'm teaching I tell all my students that if they don't enjoy and smile about something, then we need to change something.

Kevin is a great teacher - he has brought out the drummer in my 2nd grader, and he has been able to do this through Zoom, not even face to face. Highly recommended!

I was out of town when my 15-year old son had his lesson with Kevin, so I sent a text to my son to find out how it went. "He is the best guitar teacher ever!!" my son replied. I think that says it all.

I'm not currently taking beginner drum students. Please refer to my studio partner Melissa:

Intermediate
Start to learn about polyrhythms as well as developing your ears and body to play songs more accurately. Start to spice up your playing with ways that are interesting, but not intrusive.

Advanced
Really push your polyrhythms and add asymmetrical meters to your repertoire to expand your grasp of complex rhythms. Also learn to use dynamics, cymbal work, and fills to effectively communicate and lead a band without words.

*Disclaimer* I'm currently not taking beginner students on voice/singing, guitar, bass, drums, piano, and ukulele. I highly recommend my studio partners Melissa though. Please check out her profile: https://takelessons.com/profile/melissa-m62 My Background I've been playing with classic

Talented teachers are rare. Like a great coach i sports... the coach doesn’t need to be the top athlete in his field to know how to teach each team member to hone their best abilities, he just has to know and see how to teach you how to get there. Being an outstanding teacher is a great talent all in itself... and that is Jesse. He has that quality and ability to lead, focus and take you where you want to go.
Romy R.
Jesse has given directions on how to successfully become a better musician. His approach and explanation on musical theories was much more understandable than what I was previously reading. Overall, I found the lessons to be very usefull.

"My son (8 years old) loves taking drum lessons from Carmen. She's been teaching him in group and private lessons since he was 5 years old. She gives him fun songs to learn and listens to him when he has special requests. She is very skilled, patient and fun and has kid-friendly ways of explaining difficult music theory and structure. He is always excited to go to his lesson (even when he hasn't practiced) because he knows Carmen will give him support and help him to develop better practice skills."
