I have been teaching children of all age groups to acquire a solid foundation in violin playing. Whether it be pre-K beginners, or high school students getting ready for college auditions, I will communicate with the students and parents to set a number of goals to achieve.
I also welcome adult students, beginners and amateur enthusiasts alike.

In addition to gaining expertise in the techniques in violin playing, students in my studio will be given opportunities to gain comprehensive music knowledge including theory, sight singing, ear training, and any relevant music history, as the above-mentioned knowledge are indispensable elements in violin playing. Singing and clapping are essential parts of the lesson. When students are equipped with the basics, they can play anything and make the music they want.

Much of my methods are derived from my doctoral dissertation studies in the field of Sports Psychology. I apply my teaching methods to develop and increase control of muscular and mental functions, accuracy, precision, discipline, mental awareness and overall coordination in violin performance. I am eager to share my knowledge and experience in sports psychology and to emphasize the general psychological benefits and contribution to human enrichment.

My greatest joy is sharing music, and I love to help students discover their own creative voice through their instrument! I am a versatile classical violinist and violist, fiddle player, songwriter, improviser, and cross-genre musician with over 20 years' experience playing the violin and 8 years' experience teaching violinists of all ages and abilities.

I'm currently only enrolling students online, but I will be available to teach in-person lessons in the Minneapolis-St. Paul, MN, metro area and in Northfield, MN, after it is safe to do so.

Hi, I'm Brianna! Whether you're completely new to music or have taken lessons for years, I'd love to help you meet your goals as a violinist and musician.

I've been studying violin and composing for 18 years and specialize in classical music, but my musical background is diverse. I’ve performed as an orchestral and chamber violinist, written and performed for film scores, played for musicals, opera, and ballet, and recorded for singer/songwriters.

My teaching approach is tailored to the needs of each student and I’ve worked with violinists of all ages. I especially love working with adult students – it’s never too late to try something you’ve always wanted to learn!

we are going to practice some basics technic like scales technical exercise, we should know a lot of famous music too, music from Bach Beethoven Mozart Tchaikovsky, and popular music, dance music or world music.
if the student need take audition for orchestra or going to a compotation we will work on the repertoire too.

I am also gifted in strengthening the skills of those who have already had some experience playing violin and/or viola, but would like to improve, no matter your age. I can help young students prepare for all state and all county competitions. My lessons are laid back, personable, and enjoyable.
