It was our first lesson today: Kelly took the time to listen to my daughter patiently, even though my daughter stutters and is shy when speaking. I appreciate that she took time to make her feel comfortable.

I learned piano with her. She is a good teacher.

Laura is an amazing teacher - I could see it right away - and my daughter really opened up to her. It seems, however that my daughter may not be ready to study the piano just yet. We bought a 5-lesson package, so we will see if that changes between now and then. Either way, Laura was a great choice for our first piano instructor!

When I teach, I strive to help students learn the most efficient practice methods and to develop a healthy attitude towards learning music. Your progression on the instrument is what will take you to the next step. Either playing solo and chamber and orchestra have the same core values: beautiful tone production, fine intonation, pure rhythm, expressive playing, knowledge of musical styles, acute listening, excellent ensemble skills. If you study with me, I will help you master these concepts and techniques at your own pace and help you find your own musical voice through playing the viola/piano.
I look forward to working with each of you :)

About Julia

I have been playing the piano for 24 years and the viola for 17 years, and have been classically trained in both. Since I was 18th I have participated in many well-known music festivals and masterclasses, and have performed in Taiwan, China, Singapore, Germany, Canada, the Czech Republic, Austria, K

I am so lucky that I can study piano with Julia. ´╝»riginally, I thought that I am too old to learn piano since I am 32 years old. However, Julia brings me to a different world in lessons, she has a solid and scientific method that helps my old and stiff fingers work really amazing. I improve quickly and feel closer to my dream. which is to be a wonderful pianist. Thank you, Julia.
Sandy
Julia is the best instructor we can ever ask for. She is very professional and patient to my sons. Also, she is very encouraging yet also gets across what she expects from her students. We would recommend her to anyone.

"It was our first lesson with Charles for my 9 year old son. We finally found the right instructor! Without being condescending, he taught my son some basics about holding the instrument correctly, how to bring it up for play.... essentially proper playing etiquette that he is not getting at school from a teacher who is far too stretched with a large class of multiple instruments and only ONE teacher. (She really needs an assistant) I think he is going to learn a LOT and I love that he corrects him without being rude nor condescending. I would give him 5 stars but it's our first lesson. Will review again after a month and hopefully gloat some more about him! :) ~ Very pleased!"

I went to him for some feedback on my orchestra excerpts before a big audition I was worried for and he had really great advice not only about the music itself but approaching auditions mentally and physically.
