Love to teach beginners and intermediate students.
I teach all uke students how to read, theory, songs and how to understand playing the instrument solo or in a group setting.
Uke is capable of doing anything, all one has to do is apply oneself and music can come flowing out of the instrument.

A great instrument to play! And LOTS of fun. You can be up and playing basic ukulele in a very short time, and as you progress, we will add all the rhythmic strums that make the ukulele come alive. The ukulele can cover almost every style of music there is...from traditional Hawaiian music to rock!... and everything in between. Let me show you how to express your inner musician with the ukulele. You will have a blast!
About Steve
Music has been a part of my life for over 4 decades. I stepped onstage when I was 15, and have been active in the music business ever since. I was raised in the New York / New England area, and played in many bands in the 70's and 80's, most notably the band AVALON. I moved to Florida in the late 8

The Ukulele is such a fun instrument to play. It's a small instrument with a big sound. There is actually 4 different sizes you can choose from: Soprano, Concert, Tenor, and Baritone. The first 3 have the same string arrangement which is
G, C, E, A, and the Baritone is D, G, B, E, which is the same tuning as the first 4 strings on a guitar. Soprano is the smallest and the Baritone is the largest. If you want the true Hawaiian sound you need the Soprano. If you have really big hands or thick fingers you might want to go with the Concert or Tenor size so it will be easier to play.
They are very affordable instruments. The one I have is a Fender U Uke it was around 109.00. It's easier then guitar because you don't have to press down as hard on the strings.
Some of my favorite Ukulele players and bands that incorporate it are Jack Johnson, Brian May from Queen, Beach Boys, Elvis, Israel Iz, and many more.
I teach beginner to intermediate level for single and group lessons.

About Justin
Like most guitarists, I had always wanted to play the guitar as a little kid. Luckily, my parents finally caved to the request (ok ok, incessant begging) and I began my guitar journey at the age of 11. After now 20 years of playing and 12 years of teaching, I am excited to share my experience and t

The sweet tone of the ukulele really comes out when the right chords are played. There is a wide range of moods the uke can produce — from upbeat grooves to sentimental slow jams — which depends heavily on the type of chords that are used. The major, minor, and dominant chords all have distinctive sounds that play a critical role in the songs we know and love. To understand the unique quality of each essential chord type, it’s helpful to practice chord variations that are based on the s …
