I have taught students of all ages - 4yrs to 75yrs in private & group voice lessons for years. I studied under Lisa Kelly (formerly of Celtic Woman) & with Anuna (an Ireland-based singing group, & the original Riverdance choir). I worked with the Lisa Kelly Voice Academy in Peachtree City for 1.5yrs and managed the satellite studio in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL for 1 year.
My focus is on building confidence in the individual singer and the mechanics of singing - breathing and posture and placement of the voice in different genres of music. The mechanics of the voice remain the same, but different styles require different control. Let's work on it together!

Hi, there!
My name is Sarah-Kate, and I have been teaching vocal lessons for many years. My goal is to make learning fun and productive. I know that singing in front of someone can cause anxiety, so I aim to make my lessons as laid-back and stress-free as possible (while still learning!). I tell my students that their lessons are a "judgement-free zone."
I teach proper singing technique (including breathing, posture, tonality, etc.) and how to read music if the student doesn't already know. The styles I teach run the gamut from pop to musical theater to classical. Especially for younger/beginning students, I like to let them choose what they'd like to sing (while offering guidance if necessary).
I have taught people from age five up through adults. Whether you want to be the next American Idol or just sound better in the shower, I'm your teacher!
I have a degree in music (voice and cello) with additional certification in music therapy. Looking forward to hearing from you!

I'm a singer/actress/dancer and I started teaching because it brings me great joy to help students -- quite literally -- find their voices! I teach the pop, broadway, and classical techniques and place a large emphasis on musicality.
Typically in a lesson, I'll start off with technique warm-ups, and then we'll work on a song of your choice. Even if you have no plans to perform the song any time soon, I've come to understand that working on pure technique alone will only get you so far - in order to sing well, you must first... sing!
We can work on the same song for as long as there are improvements to be made and lessons to be learned. On that note, I am by no means a pianist... I play a bit, but don't usually do so during voice lessons. I prefer to focus on YOU and not the piano with which I might've tried to accompany you :)
I hope to be singing with you soon!

Over the past 12 years, we've given over 3,000,000 lessons to happy customers around the world.

Andrew is extremely talented and knowledgeable. He is continually researching new methods to help me improve my working theory knowledge and musical skills. He is always providing me with challenging objectives that help me grow as a musician. He never makes me feel like I'm not doing well but instead is incredibly professional, fun, and supportive and helps me work through difficult pieces.
His lessons are meticulously tailor-made to fit the student. I started out desiring to improve my vocal skills but later asked Andrew to incorporate some advanced piano skills along with my vocal lessons. Since then, he has developed unique lesson plans to include singing and playing piano together and even composing and performing my own unique songs.
As far as scheduling, Andrew has been very flexible and understanding. It seems like every other week, my schedule changes and Andrew has been able to flex and meet with me at varying times.
Overall, it is clear that Andrew's focus is all about helping his students develop confidence and be the best that they can be. He always asks about my personal life with genuine interest and is engaged during conversation. I have never taken formal vocal lessons before and was not sure what to expect. I would recommend him to new students of all ages and levels. I couldn't have asked for a better experience."

I have been singing on and off with multiple teachers because I didn't feel like I was improving or going anywhere. I too have an issue in sticking things through. But this angel. This Sassy angel who is fun and my God patient has helped me with the vocal struggles I faced.
Let talk about her online lessons. I was skeptical at first. I live in Massachusetts and she lives in Los Angeles. I was afraid that I wasn't going to get that personal interaction just someone yelling at me through a screen. NOT AT ALL! She knows how to teach online. Some teachers don't. Those teachers need to learn from Rosita on how to teach online cause wow. She has this online folder for me that I can access through my phone and it has my notes, my practice log, my music, my audio. This woman knows what she is doing.
At first I sounded like a banshee trying to sing. I had no recognition of the pitch. My other teachers would tell me just "to repeat and find" go "higher or lower" Not Rosita. She worked with me and explain to me how pitch worked. She made me feel like I wasn't a lost cause. In 3 weeks I started to hear the improvement. She is so motivational, she will point out the improvements when I don't hear them and when I go home to hear the recording, she actually wasn't lying. I heard it! It's really amazing to have someone with such expertise to deal with a crazy lady like myself. I saw one of her students performing in New York and knowing that was her student really motivated me.
Rosita deals with professionals all the time and to have someone like that teach you is amazing. She is definitely not like the other teachers out there, she wants to show you that you can do it. As other reviews said, she is a gem."

Popular Singing Articles from our Blog
Ask any experienced vocalist for a list of what they consider to be hard songs to sing, and they can probably provide you with five or six examples without much thought. However, there are as many examples as there are different voices, and every individual singer will have individual vocal hurdles to overcome with their repertoire. On the other hand, it is possible to identify a few examples across a few genres where a majority will agree that, yes, those are hard songs to sing. Here are fiv …
