My experience speaks for itself. From Drum Corp to being on tour to studio work to theater shows there really is not much I haven't played or taught, I focus a lot on how to practice because not many people really know how to practice the right way to get the most out of their performance.

I have taught drums for eight years, and strive to provide each student with exactly what they need to excel. I have extensive training, both from CSUN as a Jazz Performance major and performing around the world in various groups. From basic technique, to advanced technical and musical studies, my wealth of knowledge and experience will help you improve immensely. I teach based on each individual student in order to provide you with the best and most fun learning experience.

The drum is an amazing instrument! I am so excited to teach you more about the drum! I am an interactive teacher who can assist you in many ways in regards to learning how to play the drum including; correct posture, stick grip, stick technique, improved sight-reading skills, greater music theory knowledge, and performance skills. I recommend using the Essential Elements for Band book series. Once we connect and I can find out more about your playing level we can find the perfect book for your. Wherever you are on your journey I am here to help. With almost 10 years of teaching experience I have come across all levels of drummers. Whether you want to tackle a new song or learn how to play your favorite fill, I can help. Not only will you have fun in our lessons but I will help develop great technique while doing so. With my instruction my students have gone on to join their schools bands and compete for All State/Regional groups. You will learn something new every lesson, guaranteed!

Experienced teacher and performer. I teach at the college level all the way down to youngsters (5 year old minimum age for me). I LOVE music and playing the drums and I'd like to share my experience with YOU!

As a performer I've toured the country multiple times with various artists, sometimes playing to crowds as large as 7,000. I've been on dozens of recording sessions and I've performed in just about anything type of venue you can imagine.

As a teacher I've maintained a roster of private students for over 10 years while also teaching as adjunct faculty for multiple colleges in Massachusetts. Additionally, I have a music therapy background which has shaped and informed my teaching style.

My favorite genres are jazz, rock, R&B, country, metal, basically anything with rhythm! Lets connect and get you moving forward on your instrument.

I have 17 years experience performing drum set, hand drums, mallets and many other percussion instruments. I received a Bachelor's in Music for Percussion Performance and Music Education from the Sacramento State School of Music and I received my Master's in Music for Percussion Performance from the University of Nevada, Reno. I have experience teaching in public schools (high school and middle school levels), the collegiate level, music camps, and I have maintained a private studio for over two years. I have a method of teaching based on what you want to learn while also going over technique, posture, musicianship and music theory. My teaching is based entirely on the student as many people have different ways of learning so I do my best to make myself clear. My goal is to make lessons fun and informative, so let's enjoy the journey of making music!
