Excellent teacher! Karl broke down elements of the game into digestible parts, explained logic and tactics very clearly. Very helpful doing simulation together, so not talking at me as I think some instructors do. Engaging and patient...definitely recommend!

Marion S.

New York, NY

About Marion

Hi, I'm Marion. I bring a lifetime of experience helping people of all ages improve their writing, and English skills. My experience with second language learners is extensive. Whatever your skill set, age, abilities, or background, I can help make you a better writer.

I've worked with middle, high school and college students on developing the reading, writing and research skills needed for success in many academic areas. I've worked with second language learners on speaking, reading, and writing.

Preparing for essay tests is one of my areas of expertise, but my teaching philosophy is le
ss about preparing for a particular test than it is about developing strategies that work for a broad number of tests and in real life situations.

I love working with adults and younger people on developing storytelling techniques, and public speaking skills for presentations and interviews, as well as for personal events. These are great confidence builders with real world results!

Whatever type of writing you need to work on, it would be my honor and privilege to work with you.

Roberta A.

Sandy Hook, CT

About Roberta

When I was 30 years old, living in Sao Paulo, Brazil, I seized the opportunity to rediscover my artistic roots and took a class to learn painting on ceramics.

A few years later we moved to Newtown CT and I got the opportunity to progress beyond merely painting on ceramic. Besides starting off from scratch with clay, instead of bisque, the scope of work expanded and today encompasses many styles and varying techniques.
I first showcased my work to the public at the 2nd Newtown Arts Festival in 2013. I was encouraged by the response, and shortly after this show was invited to join Connectic
ut Clay Artists an organization of professional clay artists who collaborate creatively and intellectually, and exhibit their art collectively.
Since January 2015 I have been teaching ceramic classes to middle and high school students at a homeschool coop and recently also started to teach at the YMCA in Danbury CT.

Rebecca S.

Great Neck, NY

About Rebecca

Hello! Thank you for coming to view my profile! I am a sophmore at the Mannes School of Music studying Flute Performance with Judith Mendenhall. I graduated from Great Neck South High School and Manhattan School of Music Precollege. I have had a couple of beginner flute students whom I taught how to read music as well as the flute itself. These students then went on to participate in NYSSMA. I have always had a passion for learning and teaching and hope to instill my passion upon you! Don't hesitate to send me any questions you may have!

**The availability drop down is a bit confusing. Duri
ng the winter and summer, I will be able to teach in/around Great Neck AND in NYC, whereas during the Fall and the Spring I will be living in NYC and ONLY able to teach there. If you have any questions, please send me a message and we can work out our availability through the message system. In the photos section of the profile, I have posted my free hours from January 23rd - May 15th. Hopefully this also helps!

Thank you again for taking interest in my profile!

I was really impressed with how patient and attentive Rebecca was with my high school daughter. She seems to have a knack for connecting with people and shows a dedication to really having her get better. She is a talented flute player and her sound is amazing.

There is a noticeable improvement after only a few lessons. I would highly recommend Rebecca.
