Embroidery is my favorite subject to teach. It offers the student endless creative possibilities. There are amazing machines that enable you to stretch your imagination beyond just sewing to decorating and personalized branding. You will learn how to hoop and set your machine for the best embroidery experience.

Lily is very knowledgeable and a great instructor. As a beginner, I appreciated the way she explained sewing terms and applications for the skills she was teaching. I also appreciated her well versed understanding of machines. She was able to model skills using a machine similar to the one I was working with and troubleshoot as needed. This was a great help to me. I highly recommend Lily!

If you have felt like youtube videos don't give you enough guidance in folding Origami, I would be delighted to take you step by step taking things at your pace and level as we explore the craft of Origami together.

I was born in Japan and origami was something that came naturally to me as a child. The love of Origami was passed down to me from my Japanese Grandmother who decorated her room with all of her paper creations.

It's been in my blood and comes as second nature to me however I know how complex some of these folds can be and my goal as a teacher is to help anyone be able to fold anything, while throwing in stories from Japan and Origami trivia!

Please feel free to Ask me questions about my workshop pricing, I tend to have to charge more for these than my private lessons because of the way take lessons lesson packages are structured but if you have a limited budget please let me know in your message and I will do my best to accommodate if possible.

At age 11 I achieved the title of Master, and since then have become an International Master (with 1 Grandmaster norm), 5-time National Champion and am currently the #1 18-year-old on the west coast of the United States. Without chess instruction from the most patient, inspiring, and hardworking chess coaches none of this would have been possible.

I began to play chess at 7 years old and after my coach ended our first class by saying, "Every champion was once a beginner" my youthful imagination ran wild and I was hooked. My early development in chess proved to be nontraditional where my structured classes provided by my school were supplemented by the aggressive, unconventional playing styles I learned from spending my weekends sneaking games in with hustlers at my local chess park. Yet learning these vastly different approaches to the game allowed me to become a more complete player, and after 6 weeks of practice, I could beat every kid in my class and almost defeated my coach. ...

You have successfully out-maneuvered and outfought your opponent, conquering large swaths of the chessboard, and approaching that triumphal moment when you will topple the opponent’s king and declare that he has fallen---in other words, a checkmate (recall that “checkmate” is an anglicization of “shah mat”, Persian for “the king is dead”)… Only to realize that you don’t quite know how to finish the game, which inevitably results in a slapsti …
