I am thankful I found this astrology teacher. She is amazing at showing a beginner student how planets, signs, and houses may interact and influence one another without using an overwhelming amount of words that you can't understand at beginner level. Her way of teaching is almost like a mini-reading where you can gain insight into both how astrology works and how your chart is influencing who you are/why you feel/do things. I highly recommend her for anyone who wants to learn astrology!

Donna is awesome! She's very patient with someone such as myself who is not acquainted with SEO and Wordpress. She went above and beyond my expectations for a first session, her insight and advice was invaluable. She event spent some time researching my issues before we had our first meeting. I look forward to working with her more.

About Lauren
Hi there, I'm Lauren! I am a recent Berkeley graduate who completed a BA with honors in Classics and Art History. My greatest passions are sewing, English, and history. I first started sewing when I was thirteen and never stopped to look back! Since then I have sewn many types and styles of modern clothes. Additionally, I have extensive experience in historical fashions and historical sewing techniques! I've worked with all fabric types as well as drafting and flat patterning. My projects range from simple pillow cases to complicated Victorian corsets from scratch. With past projects featuring
embroidery, cross stitching, cording, and other decorative elements, I believe I can help you to better understand and explore the world of sewing!

I studied Classics and Art History in college and feel passionate about these topics, as well as English and literature. I worked on the editing board of several publications and would love to help you improve your writing, vocabulary, and grammar.

Please send me a quick message if you're interested in taking lessons to see if we can schedule the perfect lesson for you!!

Lauren teaches in detail with a very gentle spirit. For so little time she taught much and was very efficient. There was no doubt from the first moments that she is not only skilled and knowledgeable but she knows how to convey those skills and knowledge. I find that not everyone really skilled is able to teach. This was not the case with Lauren, I found her teaching came with ease, I didn't realize how much I had picked up from her until I returned home. Not only did she teach but she somehow quietly instilled a bit of confidence in me that has caused me to put off taking sewing lessons for years. I am actually looking forward to practicing using my machine for the first time ever. I look forward to my future lessons with her.

Learning how to sew, and also some embroidery, I feel that Lauren makes it easy to learn, she is very knowledgable and patient. She is flexible on what you want to make and helps you to create it. It is fun to learn a practical and creative skill like sewing. I am so glad I am finally able to sew!

I was so impressed with Lauren! I am at a very beginning level and she made me feel very comfortable as we focused on the machine mechanics and threading the needle. I misplaced the power card so we went over my user guide and her reference sheet and she answered all my,questions. I am very excited for the next lesson.

Adler is patient with me while also trying to push me forwards in the same moment, great to talk to about the lessons or even just normal things, sometimes it starts to seem more like I'm just getting some pointers from a friend instead of learning from a teacher. He knows what he is doing and knows that I can only do so much at times, he guides me through the lesson instead of just teaching it like most teachers I know of. Starting off he was able answer my repetitive questions about something that he might do without thinking, and will describe what he wants of me while teaching, not always serious or just going off on his own, expecting others to know exactly what he is doing. A great teacher and more like a friend than teacher at times.

Adler is a teacher who I'm fortunate enough to also call a friend. He is very passionate about art, is a very positive influence, and fun to be around. He doesnt sugar coat his critiques on your work but isnt harsh about it either. He gives many good pointers and advice, knowing how guide students to better foundations and improvement.
