She has helped me tremendously! We have a good time learning and laughing during my lessons with her. She had also helped me to stop listening to what others think about my voice and focus on believing in myself as I learn and progress. Risks l thanks

Desiree puts the fun in fundamentals!
I decided to take voice lessons for pleasure as a hobby to keep my mind off of the stresses of daily life. I had a lot of confidence issues to get over when I started taking lessons with Desiree; mainly because I didn't want to embarrass myself like those people I make fun of on American Idol. Her non-threatening teaching style has been the perfect fit for me...although she does raise her voice at me when I judge myself too harshly, but I won't count against her ;) My confidence has soared and I feel that I'm a much bolder and more comfortable singer. Iâm enjoying every minute of discovering my voice with Desiree. I've still got some work to do but I'm confident she'll help me reach my goals.

Voices are a Gift
Desiree has helped my sister and I develop our vocal skills and work to our full potential. She has also helped us realize that our voices are a gift and we need to treasure them. Desiree has strengthened our confidence in signing in front of people as well as signing in general. She is more than just a teacher she is a role model and a person we feel we can count on.

Melody is a certified Speech Level Singing Instructor. She maintains this certification through the continuous rigorous training and evaluation program created by celebrity vocal instructor Seth Riggs whose students include Michael Jackson, Kelly Clarkson, Stevie Wonder, Josh Groban, and many more. Melody utilizes over 10 years of vocal study to help her students connect head and chest voice, create a strong mix voice, and extend their ranges. She creates a fun and relaxed atmosphere where mist
akes are considered part of the learning process, and thus encouraged. She has studied with Seth Riggs (CEO SLS), Greg Enriquez (SLS), Kathy Kennedy (SLS), Virginia Norwood (SLS), Guy Babusek (SLS), Charlene Chi (PHD. Voice UCSB), Dr. Randal Wagner, and Steve Mortier.
Melody has been a professional musician, vocalist, and actress since she was 16 years old. She began her career in musical theatre and graduated to film and television, starring in the independent hit "Down and Out with the Dolls." Her rolls in theatrical productions include Ti Moune in Once on This Island, Rizzo in Grease and numerable others. She has enjoyed a career as a professional vocalist performing in nightclubs, music festivals, casino's, and as an opening act for many national and touring performers. As a teacher, Melody draws from her experiences on the road, in front of the camera, and in the studio. She currently holds a Bachelor's of Music Degree from San Diego State University's Don Powell school of Music and Dance, and is a Certified SLS Vocal Technique Instructor. She teaches all ages, from young children to seasoned adults.
Personal Message: "Learning how to sing is fun!! It is also a lot of work. =) My goal for each student in every lesson is that they EXPERIENCE something new and better when it comes to vocal technique, and that they EXPERIENCE what I like to call the "happy music feeling." The perfect hybrid is when vocal technique is no longer an issue, and singing songs becomes effortless, joyful, and ripe for self expression and passion. This does not happen overnight, but with practice, dedication, and a patient impatience that keeps the student striving for perfection while simultaneously enjoying the process.
I teach all ages and I don't require an audition like many other highly trained teachers. I understand that you are coming to me to learn HOW to sing, and this is why I love beginners so much! I have spent many years studying to become the best voice teacher I can because I find teaching others the joy of singing incredibly rewarding. I understand the demands of a rigorous performance schedule, and I love the opportunity to help fine tune a working singer's vocal technique. Whether you are a beginner, a professional, or somewhere in between, I can teach you to sing higher, stronger, and faster with more ease than you probably thought possible. I look forward to working with you and your voice!"
Here are some nice things people have said about her:
"A rock chanteuse with a bold attitude and a set of seductive, versatile pipes. . " -Anthony Davis Texarkana Gazette
The Forum Newsweekly "Melody stands poised to take the national stage with a unique style and dynamic performing presence."
The Shreveport times "She sat in for a set at the Noble Savage Tavern and as soon as she hit that first chord and that first note, everybody stopped talking and faces were pointed to the stage."
Dan Garner Tipitina's
The Shreveport Times "Whether she's playing solo shows or gigs with her band, [Melody] has a keen ability to translate her emotions about dreams lost and chased into bluesy, heartfelt, tumultuous vocals."
Michael Pickett "Hey Melody! Thanks so much for jumping into the 2007 Lake Roosevelt Musicfest. You were a huge hit up here!! The mayor was sitting around with some of her volunteers and told me 'we think Melody takes the prize this year'. It was just a great addition the event and you made me look really good by just knocking everybody out like that! "
Personal thank you letter from Michael Pickett, promoter of annual Musicfest in Marcus, Washington.

SKYPE LESSONS: Since I moved to Pennsylvania from San Diego, I have begun taking all of my lessons from Seth Riggs via Skype. I also maintained almost my entire San Diego student base by teaching via Skype, and in addition starting accepting students from all over the country and the world. I now have a very busy studio with an over 70% Skype student base due to the high demand for SLS technique and a balanced approach to singing instruction. My youngest Skype student is 4 years old, and I recently held my first Skype Student integrated recital where online students performed live on a big screen from the comfort of their own homes! I'm constantly thinking of new ways to engage students from all corners of the world, create an online studio community, and offer performance and learning opportunities. Skype lessons are a great option for those without access to good vocal technique instructors or those who have tight schedules and prefer not to battle traffic on the way to the voice studio.
*** Studio Equipment *** Keyboard, piano, microphone, Guitars.
*** Travel Equipment *** Will travel for: Studio coaching for artist recording.
*** Specialties *** Voice: I teach pop, musical theatre, Jazz, rock and blues styles.

Melody has taught my granddaughter vocal lessons for over three years now. Her technique, along with her vibrant attitude has really helped Lizzie grow as a vocalist. Over the past three years it has been a joy to watch Lizzie perform at recitals and on stage for theater and solos at church. Melody has given Lizzie confidence by instilling the basics of singing and developing her style, technique, stage presence, and much more. Lizzie quickly build a good relationship with Melody and felt very comfortable during lessons. She was consistent with her practice since she took what Melody taught to heart. Lizzie started at 7 years of age and is almost 11, so I know that any young person would benefit from Melody's teaching. I also know that Melody is a great teacher for any age as I have heard her students sing in recitals. We are so very happy to have been connected with Melody and feel confident that Lizzie greatly benefited from her lessons. We love you, Melody!

Jen has been working with my daughter for only 4 months but her growth in that amount of time has been amazing. She absolutely loves Miss Jen! Jen is an outstanding teacher and makes my daughter feel so comfortable and relaxed. Her favorite time of the week is when she can work with Jen. We are so honored and grateful that she is working with our daughter, we couldn't ask for a better teacher. The best around!
I started my music journey at New England Conservatory of Music taking voice lessons with Afrika Hayes. I then studied piano and music theory at Berklee College of Music. After that, I received my bachelors and masters in vocal performance at The Boston Conservatory of Music with Grace Hunter, and Iride Pilla. As part of my graduate program in voice, I studied voice therapy with David Blair McClosky and conducting with Attilio Polo.
My education to be a music teacher is from the best schools in the country. This education is combined with my love for helping my students achieve their
goals. Many of my students have gone on to Broadway, Opera, prestigious universities, or to become college professors themselves.
I have used this vast education to sing on National Public Radio, and record two CD's. One CD premiered in Ireland on several radio stations. I have experience teaching voice at Point Park University, Robert Morris University with a Concert Choir, and conducted "Into The Woods" at Duquesne University. I have taught all levels K-12 in Boston and Pittsburgh. I have seen beginners to professionals and have been able to help them all. This is truly my passion and has been life for the past 35 years.
I look forward to meeting new students and helping them achieve their goals!!
*** Lesson Details *** My approach varies amongst each individual. Some students are just interested in singing better, while others want to become professionals.
I always ask my students what their goals are on the first lesson. This allows me to customize a plan tailored for each individual. With my education in voice and voice therapy, my students can be assured that their voice will be preserved and they will be able to sing for their whole life. I teach my students how to properly use their voice, no matter what genre of music. I use a variety of methods in particular the Bel Canto method (Beautiful Singing).
After a few months my students typically see an improvement in breath support, projection, range, posture, and confidence. They will have learned a variety of repertoire which they can practice on their own between lessons.
*** Specialties *** Opera, musical theatre, sacred music, traditional music.

My granddaughter had her first lesson for voice and really excited. As teens are, she may not express getting overtly excited but when questioned it was apparent she really likes Kathyrn and looking forward to future lessons. she has been practicing her breathing exercises and seems really in sync with the whole process. Thank you Kathryn for being positive and giving her that push for feeling she can do this.
Belting, Broadway, Musical Theater, Jazz etc I can help you get the sound you want, and in a way that you'll still have a voice left at the end of the night
Hi, I'm Alec. I just completed my Masters degree at the University of Maryland, Maryland Opera Studio and before that studied at Baldwin Wallace Conservatory for my Undergrad. I have been studying voice for the past 8 years, and Vocal Pedagogy and training have been a big part of my education for the last 4 years. I am predominantly a performer, and can offer help in any part of the performance or auditioning processes. I also have a strong knowledge of Music Theory as well as Music History. Anyone can have a beautiful singing voice, and no matter what your singing style, or level of training
, I would love to help you find that!

"Shannon makes learning, growing and performing lots of fun
I see Shannon primarily for voice lessons, but she really helps me prepare for every aspect of
auditioning. From vocal technique, to song selection, cuttings for auditions, getting out of my head and into the character, Shannon has been my guide every step of the way, and all with enthusiasm, laughter, encouragement, and wisdom. She's helped with my acting on songs, but she's also helped me to choose and prepare monologues and sides. She challenges me in every lesson so I'm always improving, and she's guided my first steps in this business. I am so grateful to have found her! Whether you want to pursue acting and singing as a career or a hobby, I highly recommend Shannon. She really makes it fun!"

"Corinne is amazing! I have been studying voice with her weekly for about two years now, and my musical theatre callback and booking rate has multiplied so
much since before I started with her. She is so friendly and accommodating to my crazy, unreliable schedule. She always manages to fit me in when I need to see her for audition prep etc. She has also helped a lot on the business end of things with helping me create/work on my Book. She is wonderful at pinpointing what needs to be worked on most individually with her clients and letting that be an area of focus, while still making sure to give a full lesson with everything you need. For me, my weakness when I started with her was my mix. Now, two years later, at the last musical theatre audition I had (which I booked) I was complimented by the musical director about how nice my mix was. I definitely credit Corinne for that! I would highly recommend Corinne to singers of any level! Whether new and wanting to learn how to carry a tune, or professional singers looking for a good vocal workout, she is your lady!"
