Top Quality Professional Instruction

When I searched for a vocal instructor, I wanted to make sure I got the best, and Edward is such. He is knowledgeable, professional, and focused. He is on top of every note and inflection you make, critiquing and helping you to improve your skills. With his background in opera and international touring, I am amazed and am grateful I was able to book such a qualified instructor. I would refer anyone to Edward who wanted to build (or correct) their foundation and proper technique; in any skill, foundation is first.

Edward K. Deserves More Than 5 Stars!

My husband and I have both had the pleasure of having Edward as our voice coach. I can't say enough positive things about him, and would give him well beyond 5 stars if given the opportunity! He has the optimal combination of professional knowledge, talent, genuine enthusiasm, and refined teaching skills. Any time we struggled, he found an innovative approach to help us get back on track or work through a singing challenge, and encouraged us through the rough patches in a way that never felt patronizing. He never lost patience or got frustrated with us, even when we got frustrated and impatient with ourselves. He made us both feel very comfortable, in spite of our nervousness and embarrassment at what we felt were horrible sounds coming out of our mouths, which he assured us were not. :)

He made us laugh, he cheered us on, he helped us expand our octave ranges in ways we didn't think possible, he helped us find our "true voice," he helped us work toward singing goals we never believed we could achieve, and he actively engaged with us every step of the way. We have never had so much fun while learning!

Edward has a genuine desire to help his students learn and improve, and he demonstrated it in every lesson with us. He is an outstanding teacher, and you will be blessed and delighted by him and his warm, effervescent personality and enthusiasm from the moment you meet him.

We were not able to continue due to extensive travel commitments, but have been forever changed and influenced by our lessons - thank you, Edward!

Micah B.

Dallas, TX

I have a degree in English Literature from Boston University. I have written for a magazine, a newspaper, and am currently a City Correspondent for a travel website. I love giving the love of reading and writing to students. I haven't worked with a student yet that didn't love reading after taking lessons with me. I meet the student where he or she is at. I do not force Shakespeare on students with no interest in Shakespeare. I want to create the love of reading and writing, so we read and write about things that the student is interested in. This is how we become able to then read and write about things that are assigned to us in class. I will help all students master the art of reading literature and writing about it.

About Micah

We organize lessons for your employees. Great corporate rates.

How I teach: I create customized classes for you. I teach you to SPEAK the language. Isn't that why we're learning it? I teach in a way that encourages speaking from day 1 of lessons. In my classes you will SPEAK the target language most of the lesson. Lessons are dynamic, fun and give you confidence!

Who I am: My name is Micah B., and I have a degree in English Literature from Boston University. I have lived in Spain and Mexico, learning Spanish and teaching English. I have also worked for a newspaper in Boston. I am fluent in English and Spanish, proficient in French, beginner in Japanese. Languages are my deepest passion. I have mastered how to learn them and teach them.

I have been giving private and small group language lessons passionately and with fervor for 7 years. I started my own company, and it has been very successful. I organize English and Spanish programs at US and international companies. I have taught students from Japan (Hitachi), Korea (Samsung), Saudi Arabia (SMU graduate students), Spain (LBJ Express who is rebuilding highway 635), and many, many more. I give private lessons that fit each employee's needs: writing, pronunciation, fluency, grammar, vocabulary.

I also have after-school Spanish programs with two elementary schools in Dallas: Lakewood Elementary and White Rock Elementary. Ask me about how you can start a program at your school.

Whether you are an adult, teen or child, you will enjoy the classes and begin learning from the first moment we begin the lesson. I customize my lessons to your way of learning and at your pace. My entire focus is on my students and what they need to reach their goals. Speaking is encouraged from lesson one.

Angela T.

Denton, TX

I am newly certified in TESOL and plan on building a career in the subject. I am also a master's student in ESL, and have experience as a conversational partner for foreign students. I have a passion for teaching English and helping students find confidence in their skills not only in the classroom setting, but also outside, amongst their peers.

About Angela

Hello prospective students and parents!

My name is Angela, and I am a recent graduate from the University of North Texas; I have just obtained a Bachelor's degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry this past May. I am now going on to obtain my masters in Linguistics, with a focus on teaching English as a second language, along with Biology.
Recently I have become TESOL certified and am able to tutor all ages and all levels. Many of the lessons that I have created are catered more towards school aged children, but I would be able to create lessons specifically for each student as needed.
I focus more on conversational English which serves as supplemental lessons to help students with the more academic English they are learning in school.

I am willing to put in 110% to help your student with English with fun and stimulating lessons that will drive them to learn outside of our lessons. I am looking forward to learning with you all!
