Students will learn to develop their voice through singing exercises and vocal exercises. I will teach them the methodology of how to get the best tone out of their voice, and how to approach singing both from a physical and mental aspect.

About Kory
Hi, my name is Kory, and I am currently an under graduate at Cal Poly Pomona studying Music and Business.

I have been playing guitar for over 10 years, and have taught guitar to dozens of students over the last 4-5 years. I also study recording and production, and have played in Cal Poly's Jazz Combo, Vocal Jazz Ensemble, and Concert Choir (For more specific info, you can check out the "experience" section of my page).

In addition, I song-write and record music with my band, "Search For Delicious," a group of close friends from High School. You can check us out on Facebook and Bandcamp, and in the videos below.

My personal philosophy to teaching is that every student is a unique individual. I always start by connecting with the student, and figuring out what interests/goals they have in mind. Then I craft a lesson plan that wil
l help them achieve their goals, and work with their strengths and weaknesses. I practice patience and friendliness, and always do my best to inspire, motivate, and teach hard work/perseverance.

Teaching and music are both passions that I put my all into. I have experience teaching many individuals of a wide range of ages, sexes, backgrounds, and musical experience, and I can guarantee, whether you're a beginner, or a very experienced player, you will see results

*** Travel Equipment ***
I can provide an acoustic guitar, picks, a chord, and an amp. I expect the student to have either an acoustic or electric guitar to be able to practice with, but if they don't I can cover him/her.

*** Specialties ***
Acoustic Guitar, Electric Guitar, Singing, Songwriting, Recording, Music Theory, Ear Training, Logic Pro X

Genres: Indie, Alternative, Pop, Punk, R&B, Acoustic, Rock, Hip Hop, Surf, Metal, Jazz, Electronic, Psychedelic

I have been teaching for 17+ years. During that time I've learn many instruments as well as the voice. My expertise in a wide variety of instruments and musical practices give me the ability to shape the voice for any style with great versatility.

About Dave
I own a local music/art/production institution which hosts lessons for many instruments and artistic pursuits. Personally, I've been teaching for over 17 years, and I teach beginner to advanced students in instruments like guitar, bass, piano/keys, voice, and drums, and depending on your needs, our studio offers a variety of professional teachers that teach all woodwind, brass, and stringed instruments.

I also am an online teacher for a the world's biggest web platform for guitar instruction, and teach lessons alongside those in Berklee alumni, Musician's Institute, as well with many very famous artists that are now in the music business.

Though I've had the fortune to work with some of the best in studios, as a songwriter, and player, and in education, both professional and informal, I love to teach entry level players up through
the intermediate levels the most. I enjoy watching people discover things for the first time, and in my teaching I really do my best to craft my lessons to the needs of the students. My primary aim in teaching is that I would cultivate in my students a love for music and learning. With these two things in place, a student can go on to be and learn anything.

Join me and my studio. We'll have a great time, and we'll get you to your goals while we're enjoying the journey of music together!!

My lessons are a platform for each student to become the best singer they can be, according to their own definition of success. We will sing any genre you love, and work on the quality of your sound and on the authenticity of your interpretation. You will learn voice technique, diction (if language different than English) as well as stage presence, and how to engage your audience to the fullest. Working with me, you can always expect to have a relaxing and fun self-discovery time.

About Giorgia
I started my solo and backup singer career at the age of 12, working for RG Recording Studio (Italy). When I was 15 I founded a children's choir (ages 5 to 15) called Voci di Pace. I trained them as soloists and as an ensemble, as well as conducted them through the professional recording of dozens of CDs. I also trained and conducted students for the recording of highschool musicals.

I began my conservatory bachelor degree training in cello and chamber music in 1997, and graduated 2010. Since then, I have studied singing technique with pop star Silvia Mezzanotte and with opera singers Chiara Fiorani and Noa Frenkel.

I love to teach singing, singing in Italian and Italian diction to students of all ages and backgrounds who are ready to explore their own souls and bodies and to learn how to be themselves through sound and music.

Giorgia is an awesome teacher! I was nervous about singing in front of people, but Giorgia creates a comfortable environment and makes every lesson informative and fun. I have a much better understanding of the fundamentals of singing and I feel more confident. Unfortunately I am moving out of the area, otherwise I would definitely continue lessons!

Giorgia was my first teacher in singing when I was just 8 years old. Since then she has always been a model for me: her talent, her competence, her determination really impressed me. She is able to teach very delicate and complexed topics with genuine irony letting your hair down. I strongly recomend her as a teacher, and I will always thank her for letting me able to apreciate at best music.

Giorgia is amazing! She has an incredible ability to make you feel safe to be vulnerable and open. I was very shy with my voice and Giorgia was the very first person to be able to make me sing in front of another person. She takes you through the basics and explains very constructively how things work. I can recommend her to anyone who is wanting to discover their voice!

Hello Singers in the making!
This class will help you improve, or learn, proper singing techniques; which will help you create your own beautiful, unique sound.
We will base the curriculum off of what your current level is.
- Your music is FREE, you will never need to purchase any sheet music when you are my student. I will make sure to get you a PDF of any music we work on.
- You will gain knowledge of the vocal anatomy; to use your instrument you must know how it works. So many people try to sing and they think they are bad singers, or believe they cannot sing. The fact is, you cannot sing properly unless you understand the structure of the anatomy that creates your sound. (To sing without knowing how your vocal folds, resonators, and lungs work would be like getting in a car and never being told what any of the gears do. It would be like baking without being told the ingredients.) You cannot "wing it", you have to know "how" in order to create a beautiful sound.

About Sarah
Hello and Welcome!
My name is Sarah and I am honored you have chosen to look at my profile. Finding the right teacher is so important! I graduated from Lees-McRae College in May 2017 with a BFA in musical theater and a minor in art and design. I know at a glance it may be overwhelming how many classes I teach. You see as Musical Theatre Major I had to learn all about dance, makeup, singing, acting, and all of the sub categories that go with it; not to mention with my minor in art and design I know my way around with a paint brush. Art, in all forms are has always been my way of expressing, feeling, and embracing life. I took an internship at the Arkansas Arts Center Children's Theatre and I had to learn ALL aspects of theatre and work with kids every day.

I was training American Sign Language at Northern Virginia Community College b
ack in 2012. In 2015 I studied under an ASL master from Gallaudet University. I have continued to further my knowledge of ASL every day. I was recently the ASL captain at work who helped make sure all signs were done correctly and expressed properly.

My goal is to help you learn what you are craving to know! I try to not charge too high for lessons, I know that this is something that is for fun and is not always a possibility so I try to keep it at a lowish price so that everyone has a chance to learn. I am very flexible to schedules. I am willing to have a regular time or switching it up weekly; I have students who travel for a living so they are always on a different time zone; no matter the obstacle I will make it work for you!
Something that is great to know about me is that I never stop training, pursuing growth and knowledge. I read books in these various fields to learn more and more, take master classes, and train with my own vocal coaches. I think art - on any platform, is a great way to get out of your head, free your mind, and open up yourself. So this can be for professional training, a hobby you always wanted to pursue, or a dream you wanted to chase after.

In my class with you, or you child, I will make an individualized lesson plan that focus around what skills you already have, what skills you aim to improve/gain, and how you learn. I am very familiar with the fact that we are ALL different, which means we will all learn DIFFERENTLY. I am willing to explain something in as many ways as one needs in order to understand. I like to think of my lessons as a “safe place” to explore, have fun, grow, and be okay with making mistakes. We will always start with the basics, understand the core of the craft - for example in singing that would be our vocal anatomy and how it all connects together. I use props to help make the concept more visual and graspable as well as diagrams. This is not something someone will pick up in one lesson, so don’t come in saying “I can’t”, you can, you just have to learn HOW. I will show you the how. Remember, this is a learning process, we must embrace each step of our growth.
-----
Some background of how I came to do what I do:
I have been working professionally for theatres for five years now; which has had me living in various towns in NC, OH, AR, and traveling nationwide for tours. I have a lot of experience under my belt for my years. I began taking performance classes as young as age 2 when I started ballet, then I began singing in choir in third grade. I started being in awe of sign language when I saw an interpreter working her magic around age ten and I asked my mom for a sign language book. Expanding my knowledge is what I do for fun, so when you pick me you pick someone who is constantly growing and learning more which will ultimately benefit the student.

I teach a variety of classes that, for the most part, circle around the arts! Some of my classes include but are not limited to: Acting, Child Acting, Improv Audition Prep, Various styles of “Singing” classes, Ear Training, Musical Theatre, Music Performance, Various “Art” classes, Facial Exercises (Which is great for singers, and those who speak a lot day to day to help relieve tension in the face), and more!
For an explanation on each class, I will be recording a video that describes them and posting that on here soon! There is a video trailer of me singing and dancing that is currently available. If you want to know anything more at all please do not hesitate to send me a message and I will respond as quickly as I possibly can!

As a classical, musical theatre, and pop singer, I believe that a classical foundation is the basis of everything, so we begin with this solid foundation. We start with a classical approach when it comes to vocal warm ups and technique. It's like how ballet is the foundation of all dance. Once we have the foundation we will build on that along with whatever style/genre you desire. I will take you through a thorough warm up that consists of breathe support, vocal control, tone, consistency, and flexibility and explain how each warm up translates into the

When I started taking lessons with Scott, the only thing I really knew how to do was carry a tune. After a lesson a week for about 4 months, I've been picked to be a Semi-Finalist in a singing competition called So You Think You Can Belt in New York City, with one of the judges being a former producer from X factor (UK/US), has done consulting work for American Idol and America's Got Talent, and currently recruits for The Voice. Scott works miracles!

Scott is absolutely FABULOUS! He is everything you need in a vocal coach and more. I signed up for lessons with Scott to prep for some Broadway auditions. I'm a dancer who knows nothing about singing in an audition. Scott to the rescue! He helped me put together a songbook, taught me how to properly speak to the accompanist, and act out the lyrics I was singing. He has such a great background and knowledge in musical theater and it shows! Scott has a great personality and is so much fun to work with! 10 out of 5 stars!

Singing can be scary, especially in front of people. I take a very laid back approach to singing lessons in my studio. We begin with a quick 5-10 minute vocal warm up and then jump into a song the student has picked to learn. We focus on tone, lyric memorization, emotion, pitch, breathing, enunciation, and confidence in the lesson.

About Jennifer
I have been playing music since I was 7. I am the founder, lead singer, and songwriter of the band Vita and the Woolf. With my band, i've become an internationally touring musician with experience in performance, vocal training, songwriting, ear training, audio production, and basic music theory. My band has gone on tour with Rasputina, Bell X1, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, and Yoke Lore. We have played notable festivals such as SXSW, Firefly, Xponential, and Reeperbahn (Hamburg Germany).

I graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor's Degree in Media Studies and Production. My teaching experience began while working as the music teacher at a day program for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities called SpArc Services in Philadelphia. I taught private piano, voice and guitar students through a studio called Philly Music Lessons f
or 2+ years. I also was the music teacher for the Lansdowne Presbyterian Pre-School in Pennsylvania.

6 months ago I signed a publishing deal with Schubert Music and am a songwriter working on their team. I recently moved to Los Angeles from Philadelphia, and am excited to begin my teaching career here on the west coast! I teach my students out of my comfortable home/studio in Van Nuys, but can teach online and travel to you. The regular styles I teach are: Pop, rock, RnB, improvisational piano, classical voice/piano.

Singing is a very personal and transparent art form. Performing takes skill. It takes practice, commitment and fearlessness. I believe anyone can learn to sing with applying learned skills in these ways. It all comes dependent on the artist and time, but I believe in you and it can be done.
