Learn to play all your favorite ukulele songs. Learn all about strumming and chords and if you want to dig deeper how to solo on the ukulele.

About Ricardo
I have been a professional musician and teacher all my adult life. Music is my passion and has always been how I make a living. I teach piano/keyboards, guitar, voice, bass and ukulele. I studied classical piano at SUNY at Buffalo and I initially learned to play guitar and singing on my own. Years later I studied voice and guitar with great professional instructors. I am familiar with different ways of learning music: from very structured and traditional methods (that we use in classical music) to more improvisational and "by ear" approaches as we often do in popular music. This helps me tailor my music teaching specifically to each student based on his/her musical preferences, abilities and learning style. I can teach all styles of music including: Pop, Rock, Blues, Country, Bluegrass, Jazz, many different Latin styles including Salsa, B
olero and Bossa Nova.
I have performed all over the US and toured many countries including Mexico, Canada, Argentina, Uruguay, England and France. I have recorded more than 100 CDs for many artists (as well as my own original music) as a pianist/keyboardist, singer, guitarist and music producer. I have won many awards including most recently the Best Blues Band award as the pianist, guitarist and singer for the Lionel Young Band at the International Blues Challenge (the largest competition of blues bands in the world).
I have taught music through my whole career. Many of my students have gone on to study music as a career and have become successful professional musicians.
I am very comfortable teaching all levels from professional musicians to very beginners at any age.
I currently lead and perform with my group. We perform concerts, private events and some club work. My life as a professional musician has given me a lot of knowledge to share with my students.

*** Lesson Details ***
I adjust my approach based on what you want to learn, always with an emphasis on learning as much as possible while making the lessons fun and enjoyable. If you are a beginning piano/keyboard or guitar student I can teach you the basics of how to read music and how to play chords in the first few months and then we can decide whether you are interested in playing written music or more improvisational styles. I use different method books depending on the student and sometimes I use just my teaching materials if you are only interested in improvisational styles like Rock or Blues guitar or piano (for example). If you are a voice student, I teach with a combination of learning songs you like and using a CD/MP3s of vocal exercises that help develop good vocal technique. Whatever your instrument and musical preference you can be sure we'll have fun and you'll be making music from the very start!

*** Studio Equipment ***
I have a Yamaha upright piano and keyboards. I have acoustic and electric guitars, bass and amps. I have Shure Sm-58 mics to teach microphone technique with.

*** Travel Equipment ***
Student must have his/her own instrument and metronome (or equivalent) must purchase course book(s) if needed..

*** Specialties ***
I teach different styles depending on the students goals. I can teach a traditional classical style for those interested in classical music and I can teach more practical approaches for popular music such as learning by chords (for instrumental students- not voice obviously) and learning improvisation through scales, arpeggios and music theory.

On top of being a great piano, voice, and guitar teacher, Ricardo is a brilliant musician with a varied and rich musical history. I came to Ricardo looking to improve on my classical piano skills, and ended up learning blues piano and some great techniques for learning how to play popular songs on the piano. He also helped me with voice and guitar.

I found Ricardo's lessons to be engaging, mentally stimulating, challenging, and fun. When I was playing blues piano, he would jam along with me on the guitar to help me get better at playing with others, and not just solo. He did the same thing for me when teaching me on the guitar as well, it was a blast! He pushed me to be a better musician in general - I came to him with a very narrow focus and he broadened my musical horizons. Thank you Ricardo for helping me become a better piano player, vocalist, and guitar player!

I have been playing ukulele for over 10 years and play it professionally on almost a daily basis. I'm extremely knowledgeable in this area of expertise and I'd love to help you from tip to tail, including selecting a ukulele that is perfect for you and in your budget, how to tune, hold, and strum the ukulele, how to make chords, choose songs that are perfect for you, do a few fancy tricks, transport, care for and integrate the ukulele into your life. I love playing the ukulele so much and I know that you will, too!

Jessica works with classic rock, pop, folk and all your favorite songs as your step ladder for learning. Jessica also can help you develop your own musical style and teach you to write YOUR OWN SONGS from beginning to end, if that is of interest to you.

Jessica is a virtuoso on the ukulele. She has the patience of a saint with less than adept students. Yet she is insistent, in a gentle way, about instilling correct form in her students' approach to the uke. In addition, she is a walking encyclopedia of songs that span the range from traditional to standards to current day favorites, and from country to r&B to rock and roll.

Learn the basics of note reading, rhythm, chords, technique, and popular songs

About S. Parker
Music became my life when I found a dusty guitar in the storage room at age 10. I owe a lot of really cool experiences to the guitar and so many of them center around learning. Teaching is fun and rewarding, but it is also my way of thanking the great teachers I've had.

-Studied Music Theory/Composition at Metropolitan State College of Denver

-Won a scholarship to the 2001 Summer Guitar Program at Berklee College of Music in Boston

-Frequent substitute at Arapahoe Community College (2004-2005)

-Teacher at St. Mary's Academy Middle School (2008-2013)

-Active member of Onsombley guitar ensemble

ich I walked away saying "Man, I never KNEW that!" and it's my goal for you have that experience, too. Whether its how to play that chord or write a melody, how to get the best sound out of those stomp boxes, or when genres like shoegazer and post-rock were invented and what they sound like... there's something to be learned in every lesson.

The most important benefit of taking lessons from me is my experience. I started teaching casually as a teenager and have followed every opportunity since. My passion for music has allowed me to teach private lessons (10+ years), middle school guitar class (including a guitar ensemble), and college-level music theory classes. Extensive experience in writing, recording, and performing has only helped that passion to grow. I've developed a method to blend theory with practice every step of the way, and make the journey fun!

Parker is a great teacher & a really nice guy. I have been working with him for about 18 months, and I have come a very long way in my technical ability as well as my understanding of music theory. He has a very low key, positive approach to our lessons, which makes them relaxing and fun, but at the same time he has the ability to get me out of my "comfort zone" and doing things that are new and challenging, from dabbling in different genres to creating new arrangements of old favorite songs to diving into the theory behind iconic riffs and chord progressions.
He has become a friend and I look forward to all of our online sessions.

The Ukulele is an excellent instrument especially for younger children that would like to get into music. A lot of chords only require one or two fingers to learn and a person can usually start playing their favorite songs in only one or two lessons.

About Karney
I believe the key to the success of the student is that they enjoy what they are doing and gain confidence through the skills they have worked hard to develop.

Several of my students have auditioned for and were accepted as the sole guitar seat in the junior high, high school, and college jazz bands. A few of my younger students received honors in their grade school music programs.

The ukulele is such a fun instrument and it can be used for so many different types of music, much more than we normally give it credit for. With me, you'll learn how to fully utilize the uke and learn how to use your ear to create and arrange music with a brand new sound.

About Joseph
I am first and forever a musician and I want to inspire the love of learning and playing music within all those I encounter. I have a degree in Musical Theatre from Western Carolina University, and I've been diligently studying music since I was a child. From me, you will learn multiple styles and work with both written music and music played by ear. I expect a great deal from my students and I hope they expect the same from me.

If music be the food of love, PLAY ON!

As a musician for 20 years I have had the privilege of learning various instruments besides my primary instrument of guitar. Several years ago I started ukulele, through my years of professional experience in learning music theory, guitar, and bass I have been able to apply my string knowledge to the ukulele which I am now offering to my students!

About Cole
Cole is a professional guitarist and studied music at Western Kentucky University from 2014-2017 with an emphasis in guitar under Professor John Martin. He has played guitar for 19 years in a variety of styles ranging from classical, jazz, blues, rock, metal, finger style, and many others. He has also studied under the phenomenal jazz-fusion guitarist Dani Rabin from the band Marbin and also Kieran Johnston from the Scotland metal band Perpertua. He has studied jazz improv under trumpeter Dr. Marshall Scott. Also has learned much from Grammy Award winner guitarist Greg Martin.

My goal as an instructor is to keep the lessons fresh, fun, interesting, and to ultimately guide the students to educate themselves as they gain experience and familiarity with the instrument. Students can have their lessons catered to the music and styles they
wish to pursue. Lessons are tailored to each individual student so that we can build upon their strengths and focus on lessons to improve weaker areas. Every student has different goals, for some it is their passion and some are starting a new hobby. Whatever the goal, I can provide the instructions to help the student succeed!

I accept all ages and skill levels.

Cole Porter composer, arranger and also play a variety of other instruments as bass, piano, ukulele, mandolin, percussion, and extended range guitars.

I am familiar with several music production softwares such as Finale, Cubase, Garage Band, and Protools.

He has worked with artists, audio engineers, and producers such as Chris Robertson (Black Stone Cherry), John King (Sixth Floor, South Bound, Sons of the Revolution, and John King and the Mud River Revival), Kenton Embry (Nashville Session player and touring artist), Russell Brooks (The Schools, 00 The Rabbit, Solo artist), David Barrick (Barrick Studios), Jason Simpson (Colter Wall).

Cole has an extensive knowledge of music theory which he applies to lessons, as well as ear training, harmony, solfege and sight reading just to name a few and depending on the wishes of the student. At his alma mater was a member in the guitar ensemble, guitar quartet, jazz band, and classical solo guitar. He also participated in music theory, jazz improv, orchestral arranging, piano, choral arranging, form & analysis, conducting, aural skills, music drama, and music history.
