Organ has been a love of mine from young childhood. I was even saving my lunch money in elementary school to purchase my first organ. I have been fortunate to have some fine instructors both privately and at the college level. For many years I was the house organist at the Aladdin Theater playing for many special events on the 3 manual Wicks Theater Pipe Organ. When home organs were very popular I had daily classes of organ students both private and adult. Currently I am minister of music for the Presbyterian Church in Georgetown, Colorado along with my teaching and consulting.
About Ronald
Coming form a musical family, I cannot remember when music was not a part of my life. Both my parents were musicians, my father an instrumentalist and arranger and my mother a fine pianist. From the age of seven they encouraged and assisted my music education any way they could. Music came first

I have a Masters Degree in organ and have a high level of knowledge about the instrument. I do ask that the student has an organ to practice on. That being said I can help find an institution that could allow practice time.
About Mark

When Mark gives feedback he always finds a lot of positive things to point out and deftly slips in the issues I need to work on. I leave my lessons feeling good while having a good idea of the work I need to do before my next lesson.
I highly recommend Mark Zwilling if you are looking for a voice teacher; he is extremely knowledgeable, kind, and patient.

My child had one previous lesson with Paul. It is true that she was not following his directions and his frustration was quite obvious.
On my second visit I was appalled by Paul’s behavior. Again my child wouldn’t sit down on the bench correctly. Verbatim this what occurred next, I quote: “This is not going to work out. Get out of my house NOW, NOW!(Screaming, like I was going to prolong this). I have better things to do than waste my time with your daughter. I don’t want to take your money.
It is true that my daughter can be difficult when approached in an authoritarian manner. However, my daughter is not yet six and Paul brought my daughter to tears. Surely this behavior was at best inappropriate and says more about the person Paul is than about my daughter. A simple “ May I have word with you in private” would be a mature way to part company. Not throwing a 6 year out of your house because you are frustrated. I was horribly offended by his manner and attitude. No way to treat a 6 year old.
This man has no patience with young kids. I would stay away from this teacher unless your child has some experience with piano. Definitely not child friendly.
Normally I do not post reviews unless something extraordinary happens This is one of those: extraordinarily bad.
An apology is in order if this poor excuse for a “teacher” has any understanding of the unnecessary hurt he has caused.

There are many reasons why a music student may find themselves learning to play piano on a keyboard rather than on a baby grand: cost, space, or simply lack of access, for example. Versatility on a range of keyboard instruments is also an extremely useful string for any pianist to have to their bow, and can lead to greater practice and public performance opportunities, and even excellent opportunities to earn a little money on the side. The organ, although not the most prevalent or popular musi …
