About Kay
I have been teaching Piano for 16 years now. I have taught students from age 2 1/2 - Adult. I was self-taught when I was a kid and begun taking formal lessons as a very young adult in my early twenties. I graduated from CSULB with my BA in Music with a concentration on Voice. As a Music major you spend a lot of time at the Piano. I became a member of MTAC in 2004 and a member of Sigma Alpha Iota in 1998. I have a great passion for Music and a bigger passion for the Piano and sharing the wonders of how beautiful the Piano really is.

*** Lesson Details ***
In my opinion, piano is the hardest instrument to learn but the most rewarding. If you can play piano you can pretty much play any instrument. I believe that a piano lesson should be fun. I'm a strict teacher with a smile and a giggle. I push my students to greatness while helping the
m love the piano through the good times and the bad. I'm a very encouraging but honest teacher. I compliment when warranted and I assess not so good performances in an honest but encouraging manner. I always let a student know that though their performance was not their best, they can and will improve. It's always only a matter of time. I use the Schaum and Nevin series depending on the student's personality. I teach Classical and Pop Music. It's important for a student to learn the Classics just as important as it is for them to play things they like. I find the happy balance between the two. I teach Beginning to Intermediate levels. I also like to incorporate Music theory into the lessons because understanding the mechanics of Music helps make playing and creating Music much easier to accomplish. A typical lesson will start off with a hand drill warm up. We then will move on to the lesson book and repertoire. Theory will be assigned as homework. I look it over at the beginning of the lesson and discuss it and answer any questions in the last five minutes of class. Baby lessons go as followed: 15 mins. of play time and 15 mins of Music theory. I like to keep structure in my lessons but sprinkle a little joy and laughter to keep the atmosphere light. It makes for a much more attentive Piano student.

*** Travel Equipment ***
I expect the student to have a Piano or Keyboard of some sort. I may provide music on occasion.

*** Specialties ***
Classic and Pop

I am a guitar teacher with 10+ years of experience teaching all different styles of music. Blues, Folk, Acoustic, funk, ska, Rock, Metal, Melodic, Country, Classical, Punk, Alternative, and various other melodies. I have played concerts all over the state of Illinois and I have taught many students throughout the years. I teach beginning, intermediate, and advanced players. I am very passionate at what I do and I will guide you through the proper steps in becoming a great guitar player. Playing music takes a lot of time and patience as well as a lot of practice playing by yourself and in front of people. I am very relaxed and motivated to help my students learn and I will guide you through everything.

I would prefer that students bring their own guitars so that you would be more comfortable playing your own instrument, if you can
't or do not have one, I have guitars here that you may use but during our sessions only.

CHECK OUT MY VIDEO.

With a lot of practice and a lot of studying, I can show you how to play like a Pro an have fun!

*** Lesson Details ***
In my curriculum, students will start off by learning the basics of the guitar, knowing the parts, accessories and so forth. Then We will move on to Tuning and Perfect pitch. As we move on students will learn how to build and maintain a Rhythm.

Learning how to play chords is essential, and we will be going through chord progress
ions and how to recognize and memorize the various chords.
Furthermore, i will be showing students how to Read Tabs and write music. I will be showing students the different types of scales that there as well as the keys that they are in for those who want to become soloists. I will also be teaching different techniques that are incorporated with Tapping on the fretboard as well as various other techniques.

All of these lessons will be taught in our private sessions, and each student will receive homework assignments, so that they can go home and practice what they have learned. I will be having tests later on, in which i would ask you to play one of your favorite songs.

With enough time spent practicing, you can become a master of your instrument.

She was really great, we have only had one lesson so far but she made me feel very comfortable and I feel like she will be perfect for me helping me get over my stage fright. She came up with quite a few ideas up front and can tell she is taking it seriously, which makes me even more confident in her because it is such a serious issue for me. I am looking forward to working with her.

As an older person who never had ballet lesson, this could have been a very intimidating experience but Teresa was very patient and thoughtful about her instruction. She really wanted to be certain I understood the terms, technique and overall format of ballet. A great experience! I look forward to my next lesson!

About Kat
Hi there!

My name is Kat and I'm really looking forward to learning something fun with you! I consider myself a wannabe Glass Artist. I am currently working on a dinosaur quilt- completely done out of fused glass screen printed with glass powders.

I did not study Education at school, but for nearly two years i taught glass fusing and basic sewing (ages 5-93) at a great art facility (no longer in business). I have been providing private lessons since September 2014.

I have a BA in Art History from CU Boulder and a Masters in Art Museum and Gallery Studies from Newcastle University. I grew up sewing, learned to knit just over 10 years ago, and got into quilting about 4 years ago (when I got my own machine and could stop borrowing my moms.) My first experience with glass was 6 years ago and I've been hooked ever since!

I c
onsider myself a patient, fun, and encouraging instructor. I like to cater each lesson to your individual desires and ability while being fun and challenging. Sometimes you gotta go back to basics but i try to do so in a way that encourages and exemplifies growth.

I'm located in the South Denver Metro area. I will meet at several different libraries, your home, or online!!

I hope to work with you and help you reach your artistic goals, the grander the better!!

About Anne
I am available to teach Sewing, Pattern Making and Fashion Design lessons from my home studio in Broomfield. I also teach French lessons.

I have been sewing since I was 7 years old and while I do know how to use a sewing pattern I prefer to make my own, I always have.

I just recently finished an associates degree in Pattern Making, Fashion Design, adding a lot of standard technique to my own methods. I can teach you anything from the simplest basics to how to sew stretch fabrics.

In Fashion Design I can teach you the basics of fashion drawing and show you how to translate those designs into patterns that you can sew together.

My goal as a teacher is to help you achieve your goals. I know that we all learn at a different pace.
