About Kevin

I truly enjoy teaching. I've taught in the public school classroom for 11 years. Teaching music is so so much FUN! And it should be fun for the students to learn. When I'm teaching I tell all my students that if they don't enjoy and smile about something, then we need to change something. I

Kevin is a great teacher - he has brought out the drummer in my 2nd grader, and he has been able to do this through Zoom, not even face to face. Highly recommended!

Kevin is an enthusiastic and professional teacher! He has built up my son's confidence, and given him opportunities to perform and hone his percussion skills. I highly recommend Kevin!

I was out of town when my 15-year old son had his lesson with Kevin, so I sent a text to my son to find out how it went. "He is the best guitar teacher ever!!" my son replied. I think that says it all.

Hello from Adam! My career has been an awesome mix of formal education, teaching and touring.

On the school side, I am a graduate of New York University's Music Business + Technology program.

I have been teaching since 2010, doing both private lessons as well as group and individual sessions at Denver's famed Swallow Hill Music. Part of my duties with Swallow Hill included working with their House Of Rock summer camp program instructing young adults in the 12-18 age range.

I am passionate about teaching guitar and someone that prides themselves on tailoring each lesson to the individual student by putting in the necessary time to prepare materials in advance. I don't have a one-size-fits-all "method" and strive to only provide helpful and applicable instruction. My comfort zone goes anywhere from kids just starting out to adults in working bands that need to add some tricks to their guitar ouevre.

I have been the subject of a full-page feature in Vintage Guitar magazine

About Adam

According to Vintage Guitar Magazine I am "looking to bring a new sound to instrumental guitar music" and that my original songs are "a memorable mix of country, jazz, rock and soul that transcends all genres." As a sideman, my resume includes numerous tours with national acts and I've also had song

Adam’s got some cool blues pockets. I’d never really thought about lead as pockets - kind of like a drummer would think about a fill. So I guess if you think about lead as discrete pockets it should be “easier “ to break down the lead guitar.

Not a good experience. First day we were set up for lessons she canceled and asked for a different time/day. When that lesson came time she was late and couldn't accommodate the lesson but never contacted to reschedule. A week later for the 2nd lesson, I purchased she sends a text a few hours before the appointment claiming that she talked to another teacher about my grandson and felt she couldn't help him. Way too inconsistent to be offering any lessons. What an awful experience. Time to move on (eye-roll).

I welcome piano students of all ages and levels of experience. I don't have a set curriculum or required method book, as I feel that it's important to tailor lessons to the individual student. I work with my students to learn how to read music and feel it's important to include theory and ear training to have a more complete understanding of how and why we do what we do as we're playing. I specialize in classical music, but am happy to work on music from other genres such as rock, pop, and Broadway, or others. I feel this allows my students to be fully engaged at their lessons when the music we're working on is something that interests them.

About Molly

I have loved music almost all my life. I began my lifelong journey to immerse myself in learning piano at age seven. At thirteen, I added violin lessons as well. By the time I reached high school, I knew that music would be my major in college, and that music would always be a vital part of my life.

My daughter loves learning from Molly! Molly is patient and kind and very talented, and Lauren has had more fun playing piano after learning with Molly than ever before (and she's been playing for a while)! We normally take lessons in-person, but due to the COVID-19 outbreak, she's been taking them online. Molly has handled this so well and we really appreciate her work through this crazy time! HIGHLY recommend!

Had a blast with Beatris. She showed me how to properly do a belly dance technique that was a bit challenging at first but with lots of practice, I finally got it. She's very detailed and takes her time with each step. I can't wait to show my husband my new moves for our trip to Dubai. Thank you Beatris.

Beatris is a joy to dance and work with. She is very patient and encouraging with students of all ages, and is experienced in several styles of dance.

It's a joy to take Belly Dancing from Beatris Ronquillo. She is kind and compassionate and always takes the time to make sure one has learned the basic moves correctly.
Both my young granddaughter and I benefitted from her knowledge and skills. She not only taught us basic moves, but how to be graceful when using our arms and hands.
My favorite was learning how to use a veil and zills (like castanets) to help us feel the movement with our own sound. You'd enjoy learning from Beatris how to use your body in an interesting, creative way that's good exercise.

Age or Aptitude: When to Start Violin Lessons

Some start optimistically young, others driven by passion start much later in life, but when is the right time to start violin lessons? Like any other form of art, there’s simply no black or white when it comes to exploring music. The right time to start can’t be measured exclusively by age. Some ambitious parents start their kids at the age of two, and while many go off to become YouTube sensations, a whole lot more tend to give up by the age of five. So what should you consider before div …

5 Blues Guitar Secrets That Will Make You a Better Player

Learning how to play blues guitar? Pay extra attention to these five things from guitar teacher Mike B.... 1. In Tune Bends The blues guitar style is full of bending strings. Bends, as well as hammer-ons, pull-offs and slides, give guitarists the ability to imitate the way singers use various inflections while singing melodies. However, unlike hammers-ons and slides, bends are not guaranteed to be in tune. Since there is nothing worse than an out-of-tune bend in the climax of a great solo …
