Well, so far this is only my first bass lesson, so I didn't even know if I would like it. But I must say I'm more excited than ever! Kevin is clearly a virtuoso player, with a pleasant, relaxed demeanor, clear teaching style, and the best sense of humor. That really takes any edge off any nervousness. I'm looking forward to the next one!

About Molly
I have loved music almost all my life. I began my lifelong journey to immerse myself in learning piano at age seven. At thirteen, I added violin lessons as well. By the time I reached high school, I knew that music would be my major in college, and that music would always be a vital part of my life.
I played violin with my high school orchestra, including taking part in productions of Fiddler on the Roof and Anything Goes. I also played piano with the orchestra, and performed the first movement of Grieg’s Piano Concerto in A minor in concert. I played the piano for my school’s top show choir as well, performing with the group throughout the Denver area. I was also a member of the Colorado All-State Orchestra. All this time, I continued my private lessons in both piano and violin.
While still in high school, I auditioned for, and got,
the title role in the Country Dinner Playhouse’s production of Fiddler on the Roof.
After high school, I chose the University of Denver’s Lamont School of Music to continue my music education. I graduated Magna Cum Laude with my Bachelor of Music degree in piano. I was invited to join the academic honor society, Phi Beta Kappa, as well as the music honor society, Pi Kappa Lambda. I have also completed my Master of Music in piano at Lamont School of Music.
While in college, I accompanied many vocal and instrumental students, and discovered the joy of chamber and collaborative music. I formed partnerships and friendships with many other musicians, including professional musicians in several countries. I have also worked as a pianist for several area churches and spent one holiday season as a pianist at Nordstrom.
I believe that music should be an integral part of a well-rounded education. I hope that my passion for music will enable me to help others find the same joy and appreciation.

*** Lesson Details ***
I believe that every student learns differently and that those differences should be embraced. For that reason, I do not advocate a specific method or curriculum. I will work with each student individually to determine what method of learning will work best for them. Together we will decide what our curriculum should be so that we can incorporate not only learning, but fun into lessons.

*** Studio Equipment ***
Computer desk, piano, dedicated music room, space for parents to wait

*** Travel Equipment ***
I would expect students to provide their own instruments.

*** Specialties ***
Classical music

About Bethany
***Lessons begin the week of August 28th, 2017***

I teach piano lessons, from beginners to intermediate students. I typically book 30 minute time slots, although longer ones are available if requested. I have about 20 years of piano experience and I have either performed recitals or played accompaniment quite often throughout that time. I have taught lessons off and on throughout my time as a school teacher.

I love teaching, and I love music! If you want to improve your educational performance, you've come to the right place!

I've also just recently begun teaching online lessons as an English tutor. I've taught English grammar in a regular classroom setting, and I've also tutored one-on-one. Lessons with me are only one click away! :)

*** Lesson Details ***
Come to your lessons prepared to be busy! I do not believe
in wasting time, so lessons will start and end as promptly as possible. All students must have a willing and enthusiastic attitude! :)

Bethany had her 7 month baby next to her and the baby got fussy and it was distracting. She said that her husband was usually home by that time but he wasn't there today. I won't be happy if this happens again. I would even be willing to come later to avoid this perhaps 5:00:-6:00 pm ?
The lesson was only 40 minutes instead of the hour but hopefully because it was the first lesson.

Bethany started teaching our seven year old daughter piano lessons in our home several months ago. She is an excellent piano teacher! Bethany always comes to our house on time and she is very organized and well prepared when it comes to the lesson plan/homework materials. Most important, our daughter has learned a lot over the last several months and she really enjoys her 30 minute lesson(s) with Bethany. I would highly recommend Bethany for a teacher!

About Calee
With a deep understanding of music, 15 years of studying, and 2.5 years of teaching, Calee is equipped to help break things down to make learning music fun and easy. She understands there are many routes to learning music and wants to teach the way you want to learn. Begin your journey with a method book; study your favorite artists; learn how to create songs; discover improvising (this does not exclusively apply to jazz!); become a better sight reader; learn from the classics; learn from Hip-Hop; you get the idea. I want you to learn what you want to learn. Choose any of these routes via voice and/or piano and together we'll make you the musician you've always dreamed of becoming.

About Leslie
I am a professional clarinetist who occasionally dabbles with the other woodwinds. I graduated with honors from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst with my masters in clarinet performance, and with honors from Adams State University with my bachelors in clarinet performance and secondary English education.

My students can expect to improve week to week in their technique, sound production, and basic music theory skills. Every student begins their musical journey in a different place - I personally started playing clarinet with my hands reversed.... after about 6 months of struggling to make any sound that wasn't a squeek, I found a private teacher who changed everything for me. My goal is to help all of my students excel the way my teachers did for me.

I have experience teaching students from beginner through college level, includi
ng time spent on faculty at Mount Holyoke College and the Eaglebrook School. I also have experience working as a guest clinician at schools and festivals around Colorado including the Top of the Nation Honor Band, hosted at Adams State University.

As a performer, I am active around Colorado. I am currently a member of the Lone Tree Symphony, but have also performed with the Colorado Wind Ensemble, Denver Pops Orchestra, Lakewood Symphony Orchestra, San Juan Symphony, Steamboat Springs Symphony. Additionally, I occasionally flex my doubling skills and have performed in musical theater productions in Evergreen, Colorado as well as Easthampton, Massachusetts.

My personal passion is classical music but I firmly believe that great technique is essential to any and every style and it can be achieved through many different styles of music. I look forward to meeting you and helping you to become a better musician!

My oldest son started piano lessons with Catherine a couple of years ago, he was less than enthused about it at the start, but after his very first lesson Catherine already had him excited about it! He loves taking lessons with Miss Catherine so much that his little brother, now 6, started taking lessons with her as well, and he also loves her and going to see her every week. She makes lessons fun and educational, and that's something that my children really respond to and love. I would recommend Catherine as an instructor to anyone, but especially people with head strong kids that they really want to take to the piano and music lessons as a whole.
