I just recently started with Dee. She is doing a great job of helping me realistically assess my performance, and constructively set goals to improve the aspects that need work. It's been fun and very helpful.

Our 8 year old son had his first Guitar lesson with Dee this past weekend, and she was amazing. She wasted no time getting down to brass tacks with our son, showing him the various parts of the guitar, how to hold it and within minutes he knew two chords. She was able to keep our kiddo engaged, offered great praise and positive feedback/reinforcement and kept him on task for the entire 45 minute lesson. We could not be happier and cannot wait to see what he learns during his next lessons with her!

About Natalie
Born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, at the age of 9, Natalie knew music was something that was just a part of who she was. Writing songs on the piano before lessons could be scheduled, Natalie found herself immersed in a medium that would bring her joy for the rest of her life.

By age 14 Natalie had won several trophies competing in Classical piano with the Illinois Music Association.

As an adult, she would go on to fill her life with the world of music as a singer, songwriter, performer and recording artist.

Graduating from Elmhurst College (1997) with a Bachelor's in Music, Natalie received high accolades earning a membership in the Lambda Sigma Psi Music Honor Society.

During her college years, Natalie created and owned a local music publication called, "The Local Buzz". At this moment she had discovered her
desire to teach. "I just wanted everyone I knew in music to know and use what I was learning, or had learned from the music classes, professionals I had been meeting and working with, and my overall music life experiences". By 1997, Natalie was signed to an independent label and embarked on a new adventure.

"Music is an adventure, but without the foundation and passion I had as a child, I would have never landed where I did. I truly LOVE to teach and share what I know about piano, and the world of music. Music is what I know, and know best. Helping to create a solid foundation and build confidence in someone embarking on a journey in music is the most rewarding profession I have ever had the honor of participating in."

*** Lesson Details ***
Natalie enjoys teaching students of any age, but specializes in piano, voice and beginning guitar, tailoring lessons to each individual's goals and reasons for learning whether it be for personal pleasure or professional performance.

Keeping things lighthearted and fun, Natalie breathes confidence into each student using her sense of humor, and down-to-earth personality.

Feeding off 40 years of personal and professional experiences, Natalie patiently listens to the student's desires, needs and notates their learning patterns, allowing for growth at their own pace.

Natalie's goal is to Make Music Matter to you and create a foundation that will allow you to continue to find joy in making music for the rest of your life.

I am a competitive ballroom pro/am student and I’ve been dancing and competing for years. I had the privilege of studying ballroom dance with Rosaria. She is one of the most talented and beautiful dancers I have ever seen. What makes her an outstanding teacher, however, is her ability to teach. She knows what needs to be done step by step. Whether it’s basic technique, or styling, or even choreography, Rosaria was able to help me improve each time. She works tirelessly at finding different ways to explain the techniques she is teaching. I learned and enjoyed my dancing more with her than with any other ballroom teacher. Ever. Her professionalism, her dedication, and her artistry are one of a kind.

I’m proud to announce distribution of my award winning comedy soap spoof, 'Steamboat' that I wrote and produced. It is now available on Roku and NetTalk.

My first play as a playwright, 'Breathing Under Dirt' was awarded ''Best Play' at the Manhattan Repertory One Act Festival in March of 2016. ‘Breathing Under Dirt' is now getting Broadway consideration with the highly acclaimed director Larry Moss at the helm. I started learning Flamenco guitar as a teenager, and this allowed me to experience what is necessary for a young mind to learn and grow in this beautiful art form. Its sounds and techniques captivated me and it is that very beauty what will surely keep you learning, regardless of your musical goals or ventures. Flamenco has a charm that is both exotic and sophisticated, and this is what I want to share with you. It is my desire to continue the Flamenco passion and life that allowed me to enjoy entertaining audiences as well as the perhaps more valuable moments of sharing joy with friends and family.

About Briahna
With a 15 year career in live musical entertainment, I’ve seen and done a little bit of everything, and learned so much along the way - knowledge I am so excited to share with you! My primary background is in musical theatre, performing with regional, national, and touring companies for the majority of my life. However, I also have three years professional songwriting experience, and five years contemporary recording experience. I’ve learned so much about how to get the best out of my own voice throughout my time performing, and have been able to develop such varied knowledge of different voices through my time writing music for other artists.

If I’ve learned one thing, it is that anyone and everyone can sing so long as they are given the proper tools and techniques to do so. My lessons are entirely personalized for my students and their
goals, with focuses on anything from vocal basics, to theatrical voice, to modern singing, audition prep, and more. We start with the basics - like proper posture, embouchure, and breath control - and work together to utilize the students’ musical influences in tandem with their own unique talents in mastering their voice.

My teaching methods have evolved over my four years of coaching, as I learn from my students just as they do me, and continually develop better tools and techniques to offer. I believe very strongly in the physicality of singing, and using exercises that focus on stretching and strengthening the muscles in the throat and mouth for voice.

I am excited to work with you in creating the best personalized curriculum for achieving all your musical goals!
