Private Italian Teacher

I have been teaching Italian for 5 years now, I have traveled to Italy numerous times spending time with Italian-only speaking families and I enjoy talking about almost anything Italian. If you are looking for lessons and you are just beginning or have been speaking for some time I would love to help you improve your knowledge of the language to become a fluent speaker.

About Christopher

Hello! Hola! Benvenuto! My name is Christopher S. and I am a classical guitarist, composer, polyglot, and experienced language and music teacher.

I am a recent graduate with a Doctorate of Music Arts degree from the University of South Carolina. I also graduated with my M.M. fro the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, MA. There I studied with the world-renowned guitarist Eliot Fisk who is a direct student of the legendary guitarist Andres Segovia.

Currently, I work part-time teaching 12 students guitar at the University of South Carolina, in Columbia. I also teach ukulele, Spanish, Italian, and English to a variety of students online. I have also just completed my debut album titled, "Anima - The Music of Spain and Italy for the Guitar." This album is a tribute and memorial to an amazing journey I had traveling and living

in Europe for 3 years.

After I graduated from my undergraduate degree, I realized that in order to better my skills as a musician and become the guitar teacher I wanted to be I had to travel abroad. I moved to Seville, Spain where for three years I studied the art of classical and flamenco guitar.

I studied with an internationally known Spanish guitarist named Francisco Bernier at the Conservatory in Seville. During this time I was also teaching English as a second language to high school and middle school students. From traveling and spending so much time in Europe, I also developed and studied my love of languages and I became fluent in Spanish and Italian.

The experienced was an experience of a lifetime and I made many friends working and living abroad that to this day, I still keep in contact with.

If you are interested in having lessons with me, please contact me and we can begin learning the art of making beautiful music or learning the beautiful languages of the Mediterranean! "Hasta pronto!" "A presto!" and "Speak to you soon!"

Aliaksandra has been excellent with our 8 year old daughter. I’m very happy we found her and that she is close enough to come to our house. Our daughter loves her lessons and is learning so much :)

My 8 year daughter is taking one-on-one French lessons with Ms Aliaksandra. She has taken 3 lessons so far and loving it. I was invited to observe her last lesson and I am absolutely impressed with Ms Aliaksandra’s teaching. She speaks only French during the lesson, exposing my daughter to the language. She started with everyday things but is also using them in simple sentences. My daughter loves her lessons and can’t wait for the next one. She practice at home as well so she can make her teacher! We are glad to have found Ms Aliaksandra.

Conversation is in my opinion the most efficient method for remembering words long term and also the best method to learn grammar without stress. I am an Italian native speaker and through my teaching style I intend to boost your motivation to continue learning.

About Simona

Practice makes perfect! My teaching style is based on language living rather than language studying, and while I will provide you with all of the tools to apply the correct grammar rules I encourage you to make mistakes, and learn naturally by being exposed to the language. I am 100% Italian native speaker, and I am looking forward to sharing my knowledge of the Italian language and culture with you .

Delia is a great teacher. She has helped me understand what to expect in certain situations and how to ask for things. For example, when I go to order a drink in a special way, or when not to order certain things, etc. She is providing me with very relevant words and phrases that I will use a lot while visiting Italy. This is going to help me a lot. I'm looking forward to our next lesson!

I am an Italian and English bilingual speaker and have been teaching for 20 years.

For beginners...

About Daniela

Hi, my name is Daniela, I’ve taught for 20 years in schools, companies or privately to students any age. I’m bilingual and I can teach Italian and ESL English. Currently I’m living in Italy and I’m very often in the US. Studying a foreign language can be challenging but I’m convinced that learning can be much easier and more effective while you’re having fun! Let me share a small hint: studying is like eating, better leave the table while you’re still hungry and eat only what you like: next studying session you’ll remember all the fun you had and not how tired or bored you were the previous time.

I attended Michigan State University where I furthered my Italian language comprehension and grammar skills with a minor in Italian. I have been to Italy various times throughout my life, including a study abroad trip during my second year of college, where I studied Italian language and culture in Florence.

During my time at Michigan State, I tutored many students in Italian language, was an active member of the MSU Italian club, and won the award for Outstanding Student in Italian. Upon graduating, I was inducted into Gamma Kappa Alpha-- the national Italian honor society.

As a student who also went through the process of learning Italian as a second language, I am

Allegra's basic teaching of Italian has helped me for the past couple of days! She makes learning Italian seem simple and helps me gradually work towards having full on conservations with my family from Italy. Very impressed! I can't wait to learn more from her in future lessons.

About Pedro

I am an Opera Singer, currently based in the NYC area. I finished my undergrad in vocal performance at Universidad Central in Bogotá, Colombia and Master’s degree in music performance at the University of Denver.

The learning process is very different from one person to the other and this applies to languages, indeed. However, no matter what your pace is and what your goals are in a subject, my goal will always be making sure that you are learning something new every time, and of course, that you reach your goals in the process. Your process is personal and my job is to take the best from you.

Respect singing, I believe every person has a unique instrument, and no matter how easier or harder it could be for some people, anyone can develop his/her own instrument to the fullest!

I look forward to meet you and reach your singing and langu

age goals together!
