Dan is a fantastic instructor! I am a 27 year old whom had never touched a violin in my life before Dan. Now I own a violin, practice every week, and can read basic music sheets. He is very knowledgeable, patient, funny, and flexible. If you're looking to learn a new instrument while having a good time, look no further my friend. What are you waiting for?

Need someone special to teach you...?

Having never even held a violin in my life, I was apprehensive about trying this, but Danut is not only an expert at playing the violin and has several different methods to teach different individuals, but is also flexible in conforming to what is best for each student. And, most importantly (for me) is that he is v-e-r-y patient. LOL I may never be a concert violinist, but I am achieving my goal of learning to play and don't think this would be happening with anyone else. Thank you Danut!

An Encouraging Mentor

I took lessons with Danut for around two years and found him to be an excellent teacher. He is a knowledgable and encouraging instructor, and he never falters in reminding me to be patient and practice slowly.
My lessons with Danut have greatly increased my understanding of violin technique and practice. I improved greatly under his instruction and I would sincerely recommend him to violin students of any age or level.

Rocky T.

Lutz, FL

About Rocky

I'm a musician by trade, a music teacher by profession. Music is a great art form. I play a few instruments, but my main instrument is the guitar. Music performance is a fantastic form of fun which is part of playing a musical instrument - you must learn how to play a musical instrument before you can perform well with it. These two elements go hand in hand, and it is my desire to help my students understand this, and ultimately help them achieve this musical goal - playing a musical instrument well, and perform with it.

I have been teaching since right out of high school some twenty-five y
ears ago. My teaching career started at the college level where I had a privilege of tutoring college students computer software and hardware courses. My music teaching career started shortly after receiving an equivalent of a minor degree in music from the University of South Florida. My four-year degree is in Psychology and my graduate degree is in Criminal Justice.

I love to teach what I have learn from others, from participating in college level studies, from performing live with other performers to other motivated beginning musicians so that their experiences may become a lot more lasting, fruitful, and encouraging.

*** Lesson Details ***
The student should expect learning how to become self-disciplined, have fun while learning a musical instrument, and have their questions answered with examples and language they can understand.

The lessons will be laid back, because there is no reason to stress out about learning how to play a musical instrument. Dedication, however, will be expected because without it not much can be achieved.

I use music books designed to help the student understand the basics about music and their instrument of interest. Supplemental materials will be supplied according to the desire and time the student may show throughout each lesson.

Depending on much time and effort the student puts into his/her instrument, the student should be able to play their first full song within two weeks.

*** Studio Equipment ***
The In-Studio lessons are taught in a separate studio (20x20), with a drum set, guitars, keyboard, music stands, amps.

1 cat in home but not in studio.

*** Travel Equipment ***
I provide guitars/bass and amplification, keyboards, microphone and a PA, music stands, personalized educational materials, courtesy and dedication to the clients' musical education career.

*** Specialties ***
My goal is to produce results at the personal level because not every client is the same, and not two clients learn the same way. This is an important view point on personal education because without the existence of a personal educational program, the student may not take full advantage of the personal/private lessons.

I specialize in Rock, Alternative/Indie Rock/Hard Rock/Metal/Pop, Jazz, Blues, Alternative/Rock Country, and Latin.

Depending on the age of the student, I implement theatrics and fun methods of delivery.

Hallie C.

Tampa, FL

If you would like to learn an instrument, one of the best to learn about music is the Violin. Also one of the easiest to learn on a basic level, but the most difficult to master. Having learned the violin from infancy with my mother being a professional violinist, I have had extensive training in teaching and playing the violin, and will help you to fulfill your potential.

About Hallie

Have you always wanted to learn how to play an instrument, but never knew where to begin? I can help you learn your instrument, and learn how to play the music that you love whether it be flute, piccolo, violin, viola, or cello. I can help you enjoy music.

Having grown up in a musical family with my mother a professional violinist, I have been exposed to the joys of music since childhood. I learned how to play percussion and string instruments from when I was six years old, and later joined the high school band playing flute. I loved playing flute and piccolo so much that I decided to t
ake this as my career and went to Interlochen Arts Academy where I excelled in my performance. I later went to Prague Conservatory and Czech Budweiss Conservatory and played with the Prague Film Orchestra. Even more recently I have been a teacher for the Flutes and Strings classes at Unison World School in Dehradun, India.

As you can see, having great international exposure to music I can teach you how to become more well-rounded in the beauty that is music.

*** Lesson Details ***
My approach to teaching varies with the age level of each student. With younger students, imitation is often one of the best methods of learning and I prefer the Suzuki method for students up to age 8, especially with strings. For older children and adults, learning music notation and basic music theory for a full understanding of musical language are more important to get them to the level where they can learn any music that they want to play for fun. For students who wish to excel in their school band, a more practical approach with technique specific warm-ups and exercises seems to be the best in general.

*** Studio Equipment ***
The In-Studio lessons are taught in the living room which includes music stands, sheet music, metronome, and seating for parents/students. No pets. Parking in lot.

*** Travel Equipment ***
I will provide metronome, and tools for minor instrument repair. Students should provide their own music stands and sheet music.

*** Specialties ***
Suzuki method, Taffanel et Gaubert, Patricia George

Hallie is friendly, enthusiastic and very encouraging, I look forward to each lesson because I know by the end I will feel great about what I achieve during that time.

I feel like my playing has progress so much further than when I was attempting to teach myself. As a shy adult beginner, Hallie's fantastic attitude makes is easier for me to learn as I don't feel as nervous as I normally would.
