Stacey S.

Covington, KY

I've been a Broadway gal my whole life. Through my education and professional performing experience I have great knowledge about Broadway style and presentation. I teach a strong body based technique great for singing dancers and actors. I work to develop a strong belt through the understanding and coordination of the whole voice. A well rounded, versatile, and free voice is the goal for all students.

Stacey has been training my daughter since November 2014. While it has been a short time only, the training my child has received has been exemplary. She has grown in maturity and presence as well as performance.

I've been teaching singing professionally for 10 years and my students have gone on to land dream roles in musicals. Within the first few lessons, you'll be able to increase your tonal ear, and as time goes on you'll be able to increase your range with power. I specialize in classical and broadway music. I have a large library of music to choose from, but I'm always looking to expand it. I love working with students of all ages and experience levels!

About Rachel

My name is Rachel and I can't wait to meet you! I've been teaching private lessons since 2005 and have loved helping my students prepare for solo & ensemble competitions, expand their voice range, and prepare for auditions. My students have gone from being never-sang-before-in-my-life to hitting the highest marks in competitions and landing the perfect roles in auditions, and I couldn't be prouder of each of them! I went to Olivet Nazarene University and earned a dual degree in Vocal Performance and Worship Music in 2005. I'm a fast-paced and focused person and my teaching style is detailed, w
ell-rounded, and passionate. My music motto is to meld passion and excellence together. I look forward to helping you reach your goals!

I had done a few shows and sang in choirs before I started lessons with Rachel, but had no one-on-one formal vocal training. I thought singing was just...singing. I had no idea all the technique and science that went into being the best vocalist possible. She expanded my range, helped me learn harmony, and how to sing from my diaphragm and use my whole body to sing . She's patient, funny, and will teach you more than you could even realize !!

Rachel has expanded my vocal range, my ear training and helped with my music theory. In many ways she opened doors I never knew existed. Rachel has been a great vocal coach to me and I know she can help you!
