I'm an experienced teacher of 15 years available for students of all skill levels. I base all of my lessons on how best my students learn, and I keep the vocal exercises fresh! My students are welcomed to bring any music that they're interested in, and together we will develop a plan of songs and style that best suit their voices. We will learn proper breathing and vocal production so you can sound awesome whenever you sing! You're welcome to bring a recording device to your lessons.

About Jamelia

Hi! I'm Jamelia, and I'm excited to work with you! I've been teaching and performing music for 15 years. My students have been awarded "Superior" ratings in Solo and Ensemble, accepted into music camps for further study, and cast in school and community theater productions. I went to the University of Georgia (GO DAWGS!) where I earned my Bachelor of Music degree in Music Performance in 2000. I also earned a Master of Music degree in Voice Performance at Southern Methodist University in 2002.

I believe that being creative through music and acting can be a fun experience, and I do my
best to help you discover your unique talents. My lessons involve exercises that are out of the ordinary. One day you might sing while pretending to swing a baseball bat, and another day you might sing while lying on the floor! I do what it takes to get results so you can realize your greatest potential. I look forward to meeting you!

Your voice is the instrument that is with you everywhere you go! I teach students the basics in theory, pitch matching, solfege, harmonization, performance presence, and the ability to determine the difference between your talking and singing voice.

About Jennifer

Hello There! I'm so glad you found my profile! I have been blessed with a fantastically rich childhood that included music since age six. I have played the piano for almost 19 years, the cello for 15 years, and singing for as long as I can remember. For seven years, I played cello with the Charlotte youth orchestras and served as principle cellist of the Charlotte Symphony Youth Orchestra my senior year of high school. I later pursued a minor in Music under Dr. Mira Frisch while earning a BSBA in Marketing in 2012 at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

I have been a cello instruc
tor for eight years teaching beginner to advanced students. I have also taught beginner piano and voice lessons and would love to continue that.
In addition to teaching, I perform individually and with my siblings for weddings, religious services, corporate events, and various orchestral performances.
