Robert N.

West Columbia, SC

About Robert

As a lover of a broad range of styles of music and a guitar player since I was fourteen, I’ve developed an intense desire to share my knowledge with others. I started teaching friends formally in coll
ege and began professionally after graduating college. My approach is to get the student to learn guitar through the music that they love. I learn what music they like and then craft lesson plans using that information. With this approach, I can inject aspects of music that may sometimes seem more sterile into lessons without the student becoming overwhelmed. It’s important to me that students have fun and enjoy playing their instrument so that they don’t become turned off to the process of learning.

Regina M.

Columbia, SC

About Regina

Hello! My name is Regina and I am passionate about teaching music!
I have been teaching private lessons since 2012 and love helping my students grow in ability and confidence! I went to the Universi
ty of South Carolina and earned a Bachelors in Music Education, where I majored in piano and minored in trumpet. I also have earned a Masters in Education (Curriculum and Instruction) from Columbia International University (in conjunction with USC).
I believe that each student is unique and should be treated as such, both in the setting of achievable goals and the speed at which information is learned. No two student is the same, but each is a musician in his or her own right!
I look forward to helping you reach your music learning goals!

She taught me back when she's a undergrad student in the University of Texas. She is probably the best teacher I have had lessons with. I had more than one teachers before studying with Ms. Chan since I am a really slow learner and its hard for me to pick up new things, but she is always able to find a way to help me understand the concept and patiently walk me through all the technique. I also like how she was able to find different approach when I am stuck on something. I highly recommend her if you want to build up your fundamental strong.
