Dr. Cliff believes that, although many professors and teachers do an admirable job in the classroom, many students and children do not learn well in traditional institutions. Many students and children don't respond to the assembly line nature of most institutions. He believes that a student's or child's strengths and natural abilities need to be the foundation of learning. Dr. Cliff often warns against a "cookie cutter" approach to educating students, teenagers and children. You or your child is seen as an individual, and natural strengths are identified and built upon. Therefore, individual one-on-one tutoring or help is the key approach to each student who has any challenges difficulties in a given subject.

In today’s environment and economic challenges, with shorter budgets for the education, larger classes sizes and pressure of performing well in all kind of standard tests, I often see many students lacking true knowledge and skills in a given subject, since they cannot get individualized attention during the class session. That’s where a tutor comes into the picture, not only uncover major “holes” in students’ knowledge set but also teach students how to study, how to learn and through proper guidance “fill” those knowledge and skills holes.

I've been teaching Pre-Calculus for 5 years and my students have gone on to master the subject. Within the first few lessons, you'll be able to understand the basics and as time goes on you'll be able to master it. I specialize in online and in person lessons, and I typically use the student's book or my own materials. I love working with students of all ages and experience levels and I can't wait to meet you!

About Daniel
I love teaching, I can teach you at where you at and take you where you need to be. I only need a student with the desire to learn and to practice.

I like to help students realize they have the intelligence and ability to solve the problems on their own, they just need the right direction. Nothing is too difficult once we understand how to do it!

Pre-calculus is another one of my favorites, as it reveals a sneak peak to the aesthetic horizons that decorate its older sibling, Calculus. Pre-Calculus emphasizes on the ammunition that you will need to tackle calculus, as well as foreshadow what to expect the following year. With me, you will learn the basics behind the Trigonometric Identities, Inverse functions, exponential and logarithmic functions, limits, and the sequences and series that will be applied in advanced mathematics.
I break down this precursor into simplified portions that can be individually attacked, and then later combined, like a puzzle to the overall big picture. Frankly, most people fail at calculus because they failed at understanding pre-calculus; I strive to disprove this reality by making pre-calculus as clear and concise as possible. I have always succeeded in bringing results in this component of math, because it's always been my duty to 'propel pre-calculus'.

About Amadou
I am a distinguished graduate from Illinois Tech with a bachelor's of mechanical engineering. I make it my duty to break down many of the complexities in math, science and engineering that have been plaguing students since the beginning of time. I have over 10 years of teaching experience teaching students of all ages math, science and ACT/SAT prep who have went on to make 180 degree turns in their grades. This field experience has allowed me to develop the patience and understanding that is crucial in producing stellar students.

As an engineering-inclined individual, I encourage an exemplary study ethic in my students as well as an organized and systematic approach geared towards maximizing student grades/scores. I also bring results by relating to my students by incorporating elements of the things that they like (sports, hobbies, m
usic, etc...) into their most challenging courses allowing them to even potentially develop a passion for their most difficult courses. I always make a conscious effort to work at each student's own pace and I make it my priority to decompose the most challenging topics into components that can be more easily internalized by my students, effectively increasing their grades and giving them the self-confidence and enthusiasm they need to get killer grades. I guarantee quality, commitment, and results!

Having lived in over 20 countries has also permitted me to maintain my patience, composure and sense of flexibility and open-mindedness when dealing with even the most extreme personalities. I believe that everyone has potential; however potential is worthless unless put in motion. And experts like me take pride in our abilities to give students that push, that jolt of energy that galvanizes them into pulling themselves up by their own bootstraps, allowing them to achieve academic excellence.

Business Profile:

In a digital age, learning software, software programming, and mathematics have become as vital as learning reading, writing, and arithmetic. Learning IT is essential in pre-college education, college education, workplace, acquiring advancements in current job; searching for a better job; managing businesses; and managing one’s personal life. Thinking computationally is something that every well-educated person needs to know and should know. There is a great digital divider between the Knows and Know Nots. Crossing this digital divider
requires solid understanding of digital concepts. One should not only live with these concepts, but could hardly live without. Many find a lot of IT potential opportunities but not enough knowledge to benefit from these opportunities.

I have helped people of all walks of life how to cross this digital divider. This includes professionals, business owners, college graduate students, college undergraduate students, high school students, and job applicants.

I am exceedingly-educated and I manage to close the digital gab by simplifying mathematical and computer science concepts. I do not simply repeat what has been already detailed in trillions of pages of books and lectures. Everyone’s mind is different and thus everyone has a unique perception to understanding one issue or another.

I have taught programming algorithms, pseudo programming codes, programming codes in Python and other computer languages, Databases, Microsoft Office Applications (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Publisher, MS Access, MS Outlook), and other IT areas for different levels: beginning, intermediate, and advanced.

I am a programmer analyst. I have an IT sole proprietary business that deals with the design of computer software including programming analysis, databases, and data analysis. My sole proprietary business applies mathematical modeling that relates to computer software. This includes One-Dimensional Databases; Multi-Dimensional Databases; Data Science; Data Structuring; Data Management; Data Compression; Data Arranging; Data Search; Extracting Data; Big Data; Spatial Data, Data Integrity; Data Anomaly; Utilizing SQL in Data Science; Data Correction; Applications of the Theory of Probability to Data; Application of Monty Hall Paradox to Raw Data; Data Storage; Data Control; Blocking Bad Data; Importing & Exporting Data; Creating Live Data; Complex Data Problems; Mutually Inclusive & Mutually Exclusive Data; Data Wrangling; Data Pattern Identification; Descriptive & Predictive Data; Data Security; Data Visualization; Structured & Unstructured & Semi-Structured Data; Data-Driven Products & Services; Data Theory & Application; Machine Learning in Data.

My sole proprietary business also covers software programming in computer languages that span from earlier languages such as BASIC, FORTRAN PASCAL, DBASE, COBOL to languages that continued and expanded such as C. And newer languages such as PYTHON with its extended libraries that managed to combine other tools and programming languages and became in its 3.x version an object-oriented language that runs linearly. Computer languages that include Weakly-Typed language, Strongly-Typed Language, High-Level Language, Low-Level Language, Interpreted Language, Compiled Language, General-Use Language, and Target-Use Language. My sole proprietary covers software design that combine code quality with efficient use of mathematics, logic, syntax, time, memory, and processing power. I have designed algorithms in various fields including Business; E-Commerce; Office Management; Real Estate; Legal; Demography; Technology; Architecture; Structural Engineering; Solid Mechanics; Analysis of Internal Forces (Normal; Shear; Bending Moment); Beams (Simple; Extended; Cantilevered); Frames; Trusses; Statically-Determinate & Statically- Indeterminate Structures; Virtual work; Deflection; Properties of Materials; Reinforced Concrete; Traffic & Transportation Engineering; Fluid Mechanics; Irrigation Engineering; Geotechnical Engineering; Computer-Aided Design & Manufacturing; Matrices & Determinants; Thermodynamics.

My name is Bruce. I am a mechanical and manufacturing engineer at a large company in Silicon Valley, California. I have acquired a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering as well as a Masters in Engineering Management. I was interested in learning the programming language Python and signed up for tutoring lessons with Ahmed. After the first initial lessons, I then signed up for another thirty five lessons. I plan to continue lessons with Ahmed until I have gained significant proficiency in programming.
I am very pleased that I have met Ahmed and that I am taking lessons with him. He has helped me with computational skills and learning what programming is and why and how it works. Ahmed has patiently helped me with the debugging of my programs. I have been able to design programs that are mathematically eloquent, logically sound, and that are free of syntax errors. Without hesitation, I would recommend Ahmed for anyone that requires help in IT.
Ahmed has been helping me design efficient programs that include understanding of variables, lists, conditional statements, loops, functions, and theory of probability. I like the fact that Ahmed merges the curricular of universities that include Harvard, Yale, MIT, and Stanford. Ahmed’s presentations use videos, audio, graphics, and PowerPoint, all of which have been very helpful.
Ahmed has a strong command of the English language as well as the computer languages. Ahmed combines an impressive knowledge of mathematics, history, politics, and sociology. Learning Python opens numerous opportunities in one’s academics, professional and personal life. Python can be incorporated into Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Publisher, and other software. I am looking forward to future training in machine learning and artificial intelligence. Thanks.

Explaining math is one of my favorite things. I have a math minor, but, more importantly, I know how to explain things in an accessible way.

I have been tutoring in various subjects for over 15 years. See my profile for further information on my background.

About Robin
I have been tutoring for over 15 years at all levels of math and science, as well as for most standardized tests. I LOVE to see a student go from "This is too hard" to "This isn't so bad!"

I am a chemistry and math nerd who has also taken a few engineering classes. I have a B.S. in chemistry with a minor in mathematics and an M.S. in chemistry, both from Baylor University. I also taught chemistry for five years at Boise State University. All my standardized test scores are from my first time taking the test with very little preparation. I actually enjoy taking tests (weird I know).

I am very skilled at helping others to learn the topics presented, improve their test-taking strategies, and improve their score. You must "think like the test writers" and be prepared for every twist and turn they will throw your way. My schedule is ve
ry flexible, and I will work hard with you to meet your goals. Also, you must be committed to working outside of the tutoring sessions to solidify your learning and skills. I look forward to meeting you!

Robin helped me immensely with the GRE prep. I had take. The exam 2 times before working with Robin and could never get my quantitative scores where I wanted them. She took the time to not only explain how to work these problems, but also the logic and reason behind how these worked. She always had plenty of resources to pull extra practice problems from and made sure to spend our time as efficiently as possible. After working with Robin I got the scores I wanted and would recommend her to anyone looking to get those extra points!

Robin was very patient and helped me understand why I needed to work things out the way I did so it wasn't just memorization. I took the test and I made 97%!!! I wouldn't have been able to pass it without her help.
