Learn the specifics of Electric/Acoustic rhythm or lead guitar.
Besides learning to play your favorite songs, we'll cover common chord progressions and scales, as well as Country specific techniques like chicken/Travis/finger-picking, pedal steel bends and banjo rolls.

I am a recent Berklee College of Music graduate living in Chicago. At Berklee, I was the first rock/metal guitarist to receive the "Jimi Hendrix Award." This award is given to the best guitarist at the school. I've played and studied many styles of music ranging from classical, traditional, blues, country, rock, and metal.
Besides teaching, I have a passion for songwriting and performance. Here in Chicago, I am currently playing with various bands and writing my own music. My teaching style is very "goal-oriented," and I will teach students to set short-term goals, medium goals, and then demonstrate to them how reaching the short and medium-term goals leads to accomplishing long-term goals. I envision teaching much like my teachings at Berklee where once my lesson was finished, I only wanted to go home and learn more. If you want to learn multiple styles from someone who is truly passionate about the instrument, I'm your guy!

Hi! Country guitarists like Albert Lee and Don Rich have given me much of my style. I love playing both acoustic and electric. I play both in both country rock and folk country bands at the moment. I love to chicken-pick, but I also like straight fingerstyle and straight flatpicking.

In lessons I will stress the song! Moving towards the tools that will help you make music more quickly so you can enjoy the process! I've got experience in a wide array of styles and I can help break down the things you need to know in order to make that country song strum the right way, or make your blues feel good. Let's play guitar!

I have been playing guitar for over 30 years—since 1987—and I'm ready to pass my knowledge and experience along to you. I teach all ages, all levels, and all styles (but my specialties are rock and blues). I am a member of Mu Phi Epsilon, the international professional music fraternity, having been initiated in 1998 at Abilene Christian University in Abilene, Texas, while I was attending their music education program.

I'm based in Marietta/East Cobb (just outside of Atlanta), but I'm proud to offer lessons to almost anywhere* that the internet and your computer can reach.
