I have played clarinet for over 10 years. I studied at California State University, Northridge, where I earned a Bachelor of Music degree in performance. I have been tutoring for over ten years, teaching students of all ages and levels. It is important to me that I get to know my students on a personal level, so I can cater lessons to their individual goals/learning styles. Whether you want to work on tone, prepare for an audition, or learn that song from Frozen, I look forward to working with you!

I have been teaching and performing professionally for over 30 years at all levels, from beginners to undergraduate music majors of clarinet at major universities. I am a retired professor of music and my students have won various competitions at all levels. We will focus on developing proper technique, building good practice habits, and long term improvement.

I have been teaching private lessons on woodwinds, including the clarinet, for 23 years. I emphasize fundamental techniques of sound production, fingering and music reading to help you become the best player possible. I use various published methods for the clarinet depending upon your ability level. All styles of music are within your reach on the clarinet!
