Russian language spoken by over 250 million people. It is a beautiful language that grew and developed as loyal companion to the unique Russian culture. It's development was shaped with by some of the best writers and poets in the world, such as Pushkin and Tolstoy.
I believe that teaching a language without a well integrated cultural component is akin to crime, as doing so will deprive the student of opportunity of obtaining a gateway to understanding Russian culture... and perhaps a "mysterious Russian soul."
Unlike other subjects, where a curriculum is closely followed, Russian lessons are vibrant and are designed to promote fluency in conversation reading and writing. Poetry, videos and music are are integrated into the lesson plan - making learning efficient and fun.

I've had Miss Sonia as a mandarin teacher since last August. She's incredibly patient and will do a lot of work on her own end to find useful materials for her pupils to help them grasp certain concepts.
I have a tendency to overload myself with work, school, and life duties, leaving not much time to study as I would like, and she's been very patient in that regard. Often incorporating "review" days that do, in fact, review key concepts, but always branch out into other concepts, leading to increased comprehension through repetition as well as further learning.
As we all know, actually learning a language requires a LOT of work and effort to step out of comfort zones, and my big problem is simply learning time management. Once I get that down, I'm positive I could advance quickly with her tutelage.
I would highly recommend her for anyone looking to understand the language and culture surrounding it. :D"
