I can't really talk too much about how other teachers work, and also don't want to. But I know I have and always had many happy and successful students. From kids, adults, professionals, hobbyists to people who retired and finally have time to fulfill a life goal.
Hello Students, Parents, Grandparents and all the other happy people. :) Just send me a message if you are interested in taking lessons and we go from there and figure out what goals you have and how we can take it from there. I teach kids (my youngest was 4 years old when we started), adults, pr

There are so many reasons to learn to draw. Perhaps you are applying for college and want to strengthen your portfolio? Maybe you changing careers and need to strengthen your visual thinking? Or you may just want to learn to draw for fun. Whatever your reason is, I can help. I have been teaching drawing for 20 years and I’ve worked with students of all ages, from young adults to retirees. There seems to be a notion out there that “one must have a talent for art before they can learn to draw. ” One thing I can say for sure is that this absolutely NOT true. With the right knowledge, a strong desire to learn, and a willingness to try, anyone can learn to draw.
I teach students how to draw from a classical studies background, but I believe in nurturing the uniqueness of each student and honoring their learning style. Unlike a classroom setting, a private lesson frees us up to build the lessons specifically around the student's goals and needs.
Do you want to learn to draw/paint or improve your work? Are you applying for college and need portfolio advice? Did you want to get back into doing art after many years without it? Are you a mid-career artist and just need some feedback and a new perspective? Are you changing careers and nee
Sharon will tailor your lesson to your goals. You do not need to be an artist to enjoy these lessons.
In the painting event, we had a large group (~15 people), so it’s very difficult to coordinate. People had different questions every 5 mins, or people asked the same questions, or you had to wait for other people. Sharon was very patient to answer everyone’s questions. We even went overtime but Sharon was very nice that she continued finishing the painting with us.
All my teammates produced very nice paintings! Majority of them have never painted before, but they created beautiful paintings under Sharon’s guidance. Thank you Sharon!

Teaching only watercolor for over 35 consecutive years, I am known as the Crazy Watercolor Lady because I am so crazy about watercolor! lol I absolutely love the medium of watercolor and have so much fun sharing it with my students, watching them grow to advanced work.
I developed a wonderful method of teaching watercolor, taking my beginner students to advanced work very quickly. You can even trace what you'll paint. I taught myself watercolor which helps me understand what my students know, and what they don't know. I teach any subject, such as, portraits of people or pets, landscapes, animals, cityscapes, flowers, abstract, etc. It doesn't matter what subject it is, because it's about light and dark shapes and color, which applies to every subject you paint. It is also about the wonderful techniques of watercolor, such as, salting, spattering, using saran wrap, making skippies, blooms, tickling an edge, fingering, bleeding out, etc. I also teach how to paint on Yupo, a ...
I am still in love with watercolor after teaching it for over 35 years, and no other medium. I am loyal to watercolor only and have so much fun sharing it with my students, hoping they fall in love with it, too. I taught myself to paint watercolor after being an oil artist selling my work years a

The best photography lighting is based on several factors, and depends on what type of look you want when it comes to your photos. Natural lighting versus studio lighting brings about two different looks in your photography. We'll be discussing natural lighting, which does not need any equipment. And we'll also discuss the benefits of two styles of studio lighting. The natural lighting of a photo will be much softer and a warmer look while using studio lighting gives your photos a more ov …
