Dr. Cliff believes that, although many professors and teachers do an admirable job in the classroom, many students and children do not learn well in traditional institutions. Many students and children don't respond to the assembly line nature of most institutions. He believes that a student's or child's strengths and natural abilities need to be the foundation of learning. Dr. Cliff often warns against a "cookie cutter" approach to educating students, teenagers and children. You or your child is seen as an individual, and natural strengths are identified and built upon. Therefore, individual one-on-one tutoring or help is the key approach to each student who has any challenges difficulties in a given subject.
In today’s environment and economic challenges, with shorter budgets for the education, larger classes sizes and pressure of performing well in all kind of standard tests, I often see many students lacking true knowledge and skills in a given subject, since they cannot get individualized attention during the class session. That’s where a tutor comes into the picture, not only uncover major “holes” in students’ knowledge set but also teach students how to study, how to learn and through proper guidance “fill” those knowledge and skills holes.

Ciao, thank you for checking out my profile.
My name is Patrizia, I was born in Firenze in Italy and I moved to UK 7 years ago. I now live between Florida and Italy. I spend the summer at my home in Italy teaching Italian in my kitchen and giving the chance of living in a 'normal' Italian house.
I have been teaching Italian for six years in UK, private lessons and classes.
If you are a beginner and you don't know where to start from in this 'jungle' of Italian courses and lessons, or you have already done some Italian in the past, or you want to improve your skill for work or being able to speak to local while in Italy, I can help you to achieve these goals.
About Patrizia
I enjoy teaching my language and learning new things from my students, experiencing new cultures.
I love pass you on nuances, I enjoy teaching the real Italian, the one spoken in Italy, and discover the differences with the one written on books.
I do not have a degree, I have lots of experience teaching the language. I have been running up to 8 classes in adult education, covering any level from beginner to advanced. I'm a real person and I understand very well the weak points (i had to go trough them when learning English) and I know how to overcome them.
My teaching style? Tailor made! I teach the Italian that is relevant to YOU and what you want to achieve.
We will have fun du
Learning a language is like an orchestra, it works with several instruments. Therefore, not only grammar, but also vocabulary, listening (ouch!) and speaking with a nice pronunciation. Listening exercises, yes, they are very important for your future ability of interacting with Italians.
I will also explain the Italian grammar in English, unless you are at an advanced level.

About Cecilia M.
CloseI was born and raised in Italy, where I lived most of my life. I've met my now husband while he was stationed in Italy and then moved to the United States. I like to teach Italian to anyone who shows interest. I am not your typical teacher, and what I LOVE to do is talk... talk, talk, talk, and talk. I can teach you how to go to the grocery store, to the restaurant and how to have easy conversations with locals. My latest student was very pleased with my teaching after she went to Italy on vacation and was able to understand and communicate at hotels, restaurants, museums, etc.

I lived and worked in Italy for about 10 years, in educational tourism, and since moving back to the US I have taught Italian at both the High School and University/College levels for about 4 years each, as well as Community and Continuing Adult Education classes for the past 6 years, and I have training in AP exam prep. Although I have native-fluency, I have myself been a student of foreign languages, and know the struggles that come along with this exciting adventure. I know how to help you get past those hurdles, and have fun along the way.

Hello there! My name is Yulia and I’m from Italy.
The best way to LEARN a new language is having a CONVERSATION with somebody that knows Italian perfectly. The practice is the key.
We would learn every time new words and we would go through the grammar and then we would have a long conversation in Italian using everything we learned the minutes before. My first language is Italian, but with these methods, I learned English, Moldavian and French. 👍🏻
You can do it 💪🏻
About Yulia Karuntu
The Italian language is really beautiful, and I think it’s also pretty easy to learn it if you really want to 😃
