You will learn proper classic guitar technique and pieces by Carcassi, Sor, Tarrega and many more.

About Richard
I have studied, performed and taught music for over 30 years. Accordion was my first instrument at age 7 which was a great introduction to the keyboard, melody and harmony. That was followed by guitar and other stringed instruments (Banjo, Ukulele) as well as drums. I studied with great teachers in the past as well as at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. I have also performed at the Cape Cod Jazz Festival, The Bakersfield Jazz Festival and numerous club dates and private functions throughout New York, New England and California.

My college years from undergrad to graduate were concentrated on classical guitar. One of the most difficult styles to play but extremely rewarding and you can play all by yourself without any accompaniment! I can get you ready for a college tryout or just learn the basics, or whatever you want to know.

About Ken
I've been playing music my whole life, but it was as a high school student when I was asked to teach the school's guitar class that I became a teacher. Since that time I've gone on to earn several awards, played in many different types of projects, and earned a Master's degree. You might have heard my music before too if you've ever listened to a podcast, TV commercials, Indy films, or played any video games. My most successful student thus far however, would have to be Jacob Tilley from the rock band Young the Giant.

Not everybody wants to be a rock star though, and there are many aspects to the world of music. During the course of my musical adventure I've played with orchestras, been in rock, bluegrass, reggae, pop and blues bands, classical ensembles and more. I have also had the opportunity to play for celebrities and diploma
ts. Basically I've done a little of everything and I believe that it is this diversity of experiences that makes me a better teacher. Having worked in so many settings gives me a broad understanding that I use to help you reach whatever goals you might have.

I have also become adept at writing, recording and producing music, studying under Frank Wright of the legendary rock band Chicago. If you have an interest in creating and/or recording music I can definitely help you get there! Check out my chill/downtempo instrumental album 'Night Music'.

*** Lesson Details ***
I can teach you about playing several different instruments, how to write, how to record your own music, and how to get your music career off the ground! As a youth, I was largely self-taught so my inspiration was always to have fun. I never had to deal with the 'homework' style of practicing so I've naturally incorporated that approach to my lessons. My goal is to keep you (the student) inspired and having fun. When that happens you will become good at your instrument and feel as though you 'played' your way to success! As your teacher I will also provide almost all of the materials for free and show you great free apps to help you along with your learning and keep costs to a minimum! I know we will have fun together while you learn and I look forward to meeting you!

*** Studio Equipment ***
Guitars, piano/keyboard, drums, bass, banjo, mandolin, ukulele and a ProTools recording studio.

*** Travel Equipment ***
I provide the learning materials but I expect the student to have their own instrument, be that a guitar, drum set, etc.

*** Specialties ***
Commercial music is definitely my specialty, but I am also capable of doing various styles such as classical, bluegrass, traditional/folk. Just focus on what you want to learn and I can teach it to you.

I have been taking banjo lessons from Ken for 5 months. As an adult learner, I was concerned about finding the right person to take lessons from, and Ken has been wonderful. He paces our lessons well so I don't feel too overwhelmed. He is proficient in the banjo and other instruments so I'm getting well-balanced instruction. He is also very flexible with my schedule and adapts our lessons based on my progress. Ken really does deserve all of these 5-star recommendations.

I studied classical guitar at Azusa Pacific University, taking lessons from Michael Kozubek (who was taught by Pepe Romero). I have also played in masterclasses with Jason Vieaux. I have given recitals with music by Bach, Villa Lobos, Koshkin, and many more. With beginning students, I work out of method books and easier pieces by Sor and Sagreras. When a student is advanced enough we can work on repertoire. Looking forward to hearing from you!

About Jeremy
Hi! My name is Jeremy. I started playing guitar at the age of 14 and by 16 I knew I wanted to play music for a living. I played in bands all through high school and studied music in college, graduating from Azusa Pacific University in 2013 with a Bachelor's in Guitar Performance. In 2017 I completed a Master's in Guitar Performance at Azusa Pacific University. I have had the opportunity to study with great teachers including Tom Hynes (Kim Richmond big band, Disneyland), Steve Cotter (Joey DeFrancesco), and Adam Hawley (Jennifer Lopez, Backstreet Boys, Lalah Hathaway)

I'm currently a professional musician, playing guitar and keys. I have been very fortunate to perform or tour with artists such as Stevie Wonder, Frankie J, Damian McGinty (Glee Season 3), Maharasyi Hanza (The Voice Season 13), Mia Pfirrman (The Voice Season 7), Ethan Bor
tnick, Martha Reeves, and Melissa Manchester. I gig regularly with corporate/wedding bands and perform in many styles including: pop, funk, blues, R&B, jazz, gypsy jazz, Latin rock, solo guitar, classical, and Contemporary Christian music. I also perform, record, and write with artists. I have also played in pit orchestras for musical theater and done sidelining work on the pilot episode of a TV show.

I started giving private lessons in 2012 and have taught guitar and piano to students of all ages and skill levels. Looking forward to hearing from you!

I took classical guitar lessons for four years before pursuing it in college and I have years worth of classical guitar arrangements for a variety of skill levels. For any student eager to see the amazing music that a single guitarist can create classical guitar is a great place to start.

About Benjamin
Hello aspiring guitarists! My name is Ben. I am a musician hailing from Central Ohio seeking to share my knowledge of the guitar and music theory with anyone and everyone eager to learn. I have taught guitar lessons for the last five years and I have taken guitar lessons myself for the past 9 years. In 2012 I attended Capital University in Columbus, Ohio on a scholarship for classical guitar. Following my time at Capital I lived in Columbus writing music and playing guitar for several local groups while also teaching private guitar lessons. I currently play bass guitar in the Los Angeles based Moonshine Wonderland and I recently finished my first solo EP, which I recorded independently from my own home studio. My teaching style is very adaptive and fluid, focusing on the individual needs and goals of my students. From learning your favori
te songs on the guitar to mastering your major and minor scales, together we will both strive to become the best guitarist we can be.

If you are ready to take your music skills SERIOUSLY then stop wasting time and money on teachers who don't fully understand what they are teaching. My name is Russell Steedle and I have been playing guitar professionally for 19 years and engineering and producing records for over 10. I have worked with artists such as Sean Kingston, Lifehouse, Disney's Caityln Taylor Love and have composed music to 100s of your favorite TV shows! Russ is a truly exceptional individual and very knowledgeable in all aspects of music theory, production and the industry. Not only is he an great at what he does, but he can also relate and impart that knowledge onto others - a skill that is surprisingly rare among high-caliber performers. The price per lesson seems higher than average at first glance, but I feel that the speed and amount of knowledge you acquire per dollar is actually lower than that of other instructors. Really.

He is also active in the industry, so the skills he teaches are current.

I take lessons with Russ online through Skype for EDM production in FL Studio. He is always punctual and promptly communicates if anything comes up. His teaching style carefully balances the need to provide guidance, while allowing freedom for individual artistic development. Every week, I start a composition or track analysis project that applies what I've learned in previous lessons, and I will submit it to Russ to discuss things that went well and things to work on in the future. In this way, you are not just being lectured, but you are actually learning to collaborate with an exceptional musician. I've personally experienced how constant application and feedback facilitates rapid learning.

He certainly is a serious musician, but that doesn't mean he doesn't have a fun personality. He is engaging and inspirational.

I would, without reservation nor hesitation, highly recommend Russ to anyone who is interested in professional music production.

I really enjoy learning from Russ. He is good at relating things back to a way I can understand and improve. He is so versatile in his music knowledge that I can litterally throw anything his way that I'm curious about and he points me in the right direction. I've taken guitar, bass, vocal, and even production lessons from Russ. By far the most value I have ever got from an instructor. At first I was a little hesitant because of the higher price than others, but when you start noticing that you are learning stuff other teachers had no idea about, it makes sense to pay a little more for the quality you get out of his lessons. Thanks Russ for all the lessons over the last few years! Wouldn't be where I am today without ya!

Guitar lessons with me are designed to help students achieve their musical goals. I place high importance on building student self confidence, through improvisation, composition, and technique building exercises. I also place high importance on the use of technology in lessons (beat making, recording techniques, amplifier/effect pedal usage, etc.)

About Anthony
Anthony has a great passion for working with students and helping them to succeed in achieving their own musical goals. As a teacher, Anthony’s primary motivation is to foster creativity, confidence, and independence in his students. Through a focus on musicianship, music theory, and technique, Anthony hopes to cultivate student’s abilities to learn and comprehend music quickly and efficiently. Over the course of several lessons, students will ideally develop methods to create music ways that reflect their personal voices. Anthony encourages his students to be confident improvisors as well as performers of written music and to make use of both acoustic and electric media.
Beyond teaching, Anthony is a composer, guitarist, and technologist based in Southern California. Through his compositions, Anthony explores questions relating to gestu
re, modularity, and metaphorical representation. Over his career as a composer, Anthony has developed a voice that focuses on both intricate systems and improvisatory practices. Combining the sound worlds of both acoustic and electronic instruments in his compositions, Anthony invents ideas to resonate with audiences of all types. His pieces have been performed internationally, with premieres in the United States, Italy, The Netherlands, and Spain. Anthony’s most recent project is a solo electronic rock show, that used interactive technologies, for real-time beats and effects – Songs For A New Era

My teaching style is very in depth, but laid back. I base my lessons off the students' specific needs and abilities rather than a set curriculum. My lessons are also different in that they prepare you for all styles of music rather than one or two genres. Overall you will learn at an exponential rate. I go into details and principles that are truly the fundamentals of learning music for any instrument. But I will most importantly, do my absolute best to make learning music an easy and stress-free process.

About Jared
A guitarist versed in many styles, constantly performing in rock, jazz, classical, and electronic genres with fluidity. Jared has performed with George & Alfred Ortiz, Al Di Mieola, Gordon Goodwin, Arturo Sandoval, Jay Mason, George Stone, Stan Mark, Christine Guter and Chad Wackerman. He has performed at festivals in Seattle, Reno, Los Angeles and Eugene and Jacksonville, Oregon. He has recieved a Bachelor’s in Music Performance with emphasis in Jazz Studies and has studied with Sol Kreuger, Lionel Nightengale and Mike Higgins.

Studying piano and guitar at a young age, Jared has also played numerous piano recitals and recorded various piano parts and compositions for studios/clients throughout LA. As well as guitar and piano, he teaches and performs mandolin, ukulele, banjo, and bass. He also has writing credits for bands throughout the
west coast and has recorded the theme song to a popular comedy podcast. Jared also produces electronic music under the byname ‘Cyrus’ and has licensed various recordings to artists throughout the United States.
