Steven is an extremely well versed and educated guitar teacher. Both in person and online, Steven managed to meet the interests and push the knowledge of music notation no matter what style. My son became a confident player in a short amount of time due to Steven’s vast knowledge and experience. As a 20+ year schoolteacher myself, I really appreciate his student connection and teaching style. An all over excellent experience.

I teach voice lessons to various ages, incorporating techniques from various genres of study. I was trained by the best commercial voice coaches at Belmont University and I am well-versed in several styles, from classical to country to pop music. Students are able to choose what style or styles they are interested in working on!

I sing professionally in Nashville, and my experience as a stage performer, session singer, and songwriter on music row has provided me with great insight on the demands of the industry. Students can expect to learn about the music industry, as well as a great amount of vocal technique, ear training, basic music theory, and stage performance skills in their lessons. Many of my students choose to incorporate songwriting or basic piano/guitar into their voice lessons, as well.

We also have a home recording studio, and many of my students choose to record their songs after working on their vocals!

My students learn how to best use their voice and ...

I am a professional oboist who loves sharing the fun of oboe with others. All experience levels are welcome and lessons will be catered to your needs and feedback on what you want to be able to play. I put a lot of emphasis on good tone, technique, sightreading, and some music theory. I really do look forward to working with you!

All lessons are catered to the individual's needs and goals! We can go over the very beginning steps for the first time you pick up the clarinet all the way to refining your college audition. Clarinet history and terminology will be incorporated in lessons as the student is ready for it. Music theory will be incorporated for older students as they become ready to digest it and observe the bigger picture. Composition and arranging can be part of the learning experience if students express interest.

About Heather

If you are interested in learning the clarinet, you've come to the right place! I've loved the clarinet since I first laid eyes on it and love teaching and performing. Whether you're just learning your first notes or getting ready for a solo performance, we can work together to make practicing fun

My background in clarinet performance is quite unique in that I began studying clarinet as a senior in high school, rather than as a middle schooler like most. This forced me to improve at a much accelerated pace as I worked through my undergrad degree in clarinet performance. This involved a very aggressive approach to practicing and performance that focuses on fundamentals like embouchure, articulation and breathing, while also studying a wide range of clarinet repertoire. I apply this approach to my clarinet teaching allowing students of all ages to make very quick improvement as a clarinetist while also learning about music theory, music history and developing a love for music that will last well beyond their time as my student.

About Sam

My name is Sam McClung. I earned a Bachelors degree in clarinet performance from Central Washington University class of 2020 and I'm currently a Graduate Assistant at the University of New Mexico pursuing my Masters in clarinet performance. As a Graduate Assistant at UNM, I help teach various colle

"Kellen has been a fantastic and knowledgeable bass teacher. I came into this with no background in music whatsoever but his teaching process is very simple and easy to grasp. He got a feel for what I did and didn’t know within 15 minutes on the first day & jumped right into improving the relevant skills I needed to learn next. Every lesson I learn something completely new and there is no wasted time. If you want to be pushed to become a better bass player in a very easygoing and welcoming environment, Kellen is the teacher for you."
