I grew up in America and China speaking Chinese with my parents and is how I'm fluent in conversation in Mandarin. My writing and reading is not nearly as good as a native, which is why I don't choose to teach advanced. I've perfected the art of self-ambition in language learning, as documented in a book that I have published. Within two years of Pepperdine University pursuing an Engineering Degree I have became proficient in German, French, and Russian while only taking one elementary French class. Not only do I teach the skills for language mastery, I also teach conversational skills to get you ahead of others.

About Edward

Engineering Major and have lived in three continents. I grew up speaking Mandarin and English, and my grandparents spoke Russian with me when I lived in China as a child. I grew up to be a strong language learner, being able to converse in about 8 languages. I have lived a year in Switzerla

Hello,

With over 8 years experience in tutoring, I have learned what methods work and those that don’t. I’m upbeat, patient, easy going, empathetic, and generally well-liked by others. I’m very good at adapting to different learning styles and have a knack for eliciting the best out of my students through motivation and positive reinforcement.

Throughout university, and after, I mentored many students with great results. In addition to academics I helped them get the most out of their college experience. Everyone I helped benefited greatly, and one runs a very successful consulting business.

Aside from math and English, I’m a very proficient test and note taker. I speak conversational Spanish, and basic Japanese.

I can help with grammar, syntax, pronunciation, and essay writing skills. I have helped 1st through university students with essays and have won thousands of dollars in essay contests.

About Mitch

Whether you're completely lost, just need a little help, or need some test/note taking tips I can be very helpful. My patient, easy going, and positive mindset is very conducive to creating a great learning atmosphere. I can also be very useful to those that aren't motivated, I have a knack for fin

I understand the difficulties of learning English, especially when coming from a completely different language such as Mandarin Chinese or Cantonese. As I learn more about the Chinese language, I've learned how to break the communication and cultural barriers.

I'd love to help improve English speaking, writing, communication, and overall understanding of the English language, specifically tailored for native Chinese speakers.

About Marwan

I started playing piano when I was 3, and began writing music at the age of 6. I've taught music and piano for over 12 years, and tutoring other subjects for over 5 years. Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, I graduated from Cornell University in Electrical & Computer Engineering, with a minor in

"I learned Arabic with Basma. She has an excellent way of getting you grasp the language naturally without feeling you're actually crossing borders! You feel you're into the culture. I speak and write Arabic fluently because of her. I started reading books and communicating with my Arabic gf. She loves it now. We have conversations now and she doesn't say anything in Arabic without me interfering to tell her what's she's talking about. She's amazed. I liked Basma's teaching. She's an excellent teacher and I highly recommend her."
