David is generous, kind and very real. I like that he is a working actor not just a teacher, which I feel is an advantage in learning what it really takes to be a good actor... it's 'real technique' from the 'real deal' ...highly recommend David!!!!!

Acting is such a broad term! What are your goals? Do you want to be in films? Do you want to do Shakespeare? Do you want to be in a sit com? Depending upon what your interests are and where you want to go, we will build a plan together. My philosophy on acting techniques is that they are tools to help you, not tests you pass if you're a good actor and fail if you're a bad one. Different techniques work for different people and it is our job to find out what inspires you.

I've worked as a professional actor for many years, performed on Broadway, have my MFA in Performing Arts, and my BA in Arts and Education. I was an assistant director to Tony-winner Sharon Ott and have written and produced my own work. I have experience in both stage and camera acting, which have specific technical differences, but are both a lot of fun once you get used to the medium. Audition technique, preparing monologues, and creating promotional materials are also things I can help with. Anyone who wants to ...

About Rebecca
My approach is both supportive and pragmatic, based on where each individual's skill set is right now and what your specific goals are. I've had the benefit of both formal instruction as well as a decade in the "school of hard knocks." Climbing up the ladder to earn my Equity Card on a Production Contact taught me a lot and I believe gave me a nuanced perspective as a performer.

Over 95% of my career is from attending open calls, including finding representation and my Broadway debut.

I continue to audition for film, television, and theatre, as well as perform in concerts and other venues. I write and produce my own work and am currently signed with Roth and Associates East.

AMAZING! Rebecca is so nice and made me feel so relaxed. I was TERRIFIED of singing in front of other people but she didn't care that my voice cracked and that I sung quietly she was so amazing!

Alyssa is the best. I had a little less than a month to pick two contrasting monologues for an audition. Alyssa sent me a monologue that’s was absolutely amazing. Alyssa is patient, knowledgeable, and a ton of fun. Completely down to earth. (Judgment free zone). I would refer Alyssa to any and everybody. Amazing experience.

My approach to teaching and acting stem from a naturalistic approach and is sourced from various techniques. I guide students to find the joy in acting even in dramatic work. I am a longtime working professional actor and have been a Teaching Artist in NYC for well over a decade. I am a member of SAG-AFTRA and AEA, and can be seen on various Network and Cable shows as a Co and Guest Star. I like to tap into experiences that the student has had and help them develop their own ways to express and explore their emotions.

I worked professionally in film, on TV and on stage for years until I found representation. I discovered the joy in acting *and* auditioning and began to teach it through Acting Without an Agent™.

About Twinkle
I am a working professional actor, who has been teaching since the 80's. I think that acting is acting. Once you have a solid foundation, the difference between stage or scene is minor. I like to help my students find the most natural and seamless way to a character by using the text and various exercises. I find teaching and acting to be a tremendous joy and I love sharing that delight.

I am frequently in NYC for work and auditions and can come to you if you are not in the Beacon, NY area.

In the past year, I have done Co and guest starring roles on the following TV shows: MURPHY BROWN; GOTHAM; MADAM SECRETARY; LUKE CAGE; ELEMENTARY; THE OTHER TWO; and the upcoming "THE LOUDEST VOICE" on Showtime, with Russell Crowe. I have been in many National and regional commercials. I have done theatre at such prestigious venues as Woolly Mammoth
, Dorset Theatre Festival (Winner of the "Best Actress" award for VALLEY SONG) , and The Public Theatre, to name a few.

I began working as a professional actor and got my auditions and booked work without representation. My Acting Without an Agent™ technique still gets me in the room and I would love to share that knowledge as well.

About Kristina
Hi Talents!

I would be honored to help you cultivate your skills as an actor.

Why me? With an MA from a renowned London Acting Conservatory and 12+ years experience teaching internationally, at all levels and across related disciplines (tv, film, voice over, ADR, eastern & western acting techniques, screenwriting, dance. producing, audition techniques, puppetry, children's theater) I can approach our lessons from many angles.

My greatest strength is my ability to recognize an individual's unique brand of talent as well as their specific learning style and customizing sessions accordingly.

Some acting coaches use low level trauma to break an actor down. This is NOT my method. I like to build an actor up while keeping a critical eye. If you ask my clients to tell you why they keep coming back, they'll probably say that I alwa
ys send them away feeling confident and inspired. This is the feedback I get most often.

As a producer and director I always ask auditioning actors if they are taking acting lessons. If they are it means they will not be stuck on a single track and can be directed. I studied acting under Lawrence Merrick, I wanted to become a better director.
I teach using the Stanislavsky method of teaching. Depending on the actors experience I go through three steps. Preparation, Building a character, creating a role. "There are no small parts'
I will stay with you from Audition to role.

About Edward Lee
I have produced or directed feature films, commercials and stage productions for over 30 years. While in new your I was a director for the New York Council on the arts and directed stage around the state. At that time I also taught acting (something I love to do, watching an actor grow in their craft was always exciting). I am a student of Stanislavsky and use his teaching method in my classes. I have, in my career, hired hundreds of actors and actresses so I know how a casting directors mind works. Acting is hard work but the rewards are worth it.
