I took 8 years of Spanish classes and lived in Ecuador where I used Spanish on a daily basis.

My teaching philosophy is to help students engage in learning. I find that a personal connection to new information makes it more engaging and meaningful, and students remember it better too. It's also more fun.

That being said, if learning is more readily achieved for your student through other methods, we will do whatever works best. I cater to results, because my ultimate goal is the student's success.

About Joshua
I am a tutor who earned a music teaching degree, substitute taught, and didn't become a school teacher. I held professional tech retail jobs and am supplementing my life with my passion - education.

Whatever subject or instrument I teach, I celebrate students' successes; and I enjoy helping learners have new aha moments.

The majority of my students take guitar, bass guitar, or Spanish lessons. I am an educator and help my students learn other skills and knowledge sets too.

I went to Ohio State University for college, earned a BA in Music Education, and graduated Cum Laude. I also spent 4 years in the Ohio State University Marching Band.

Through my healing journey, I've developed patience, insight, and understanding for my students' learning processes.

I'm excited to help you incorporate new skills into your life!

Our son first time playing bassoon. Base on my son experience, he find Joshua to be very nice, patients, and explains a lot of information. It help him understand about the instrument and the sound when he play. He do have a sense of humor which help my son to have fun and be more comfortable. He also teaches other instruments, too. Highly recommended to everyone!!!!

⭐️ ⭐️ Janet is an absolutely amazing Spanish teacher. She is a rockstar. I really stuggled with congugating the Spanish verbs and Janet really helped me so much. She is one of the most patient people that I know. I’m also a very slow learner and Janet was always very considerate, gentle and kind and never rushed me. I’ve taken Spanish lessons now for 6 months and can now carry a conversation. Purchase a package of lessons today with Janet you won’t regret it! Thank you for everything Janet! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I studied Spanish and lived in Ecuador for a year where I volunteered at a school and edited a Spanish textbook. I can help beginning and intermediate students with speaking, reading, writing and grammar. I promise to make your Spanish classes interesting and fun. If you would like to study Spanish literature or film we can incorporate those into our lessons. I love the Spanish language and would be happy to help you achieve Spanish proficiency while cultivating a love for the language. I offer a free consultation to discuss Spanish lessons.

About Marie
I have been an educator for more than ten years. In that time, I've taught and tutored English, Language Arts and Spanish to students from elementary to PhD level. I also help students study for the SAT, ACT and TOEFL tests and coach students through the college and graduate school application process. I love teaching and learning. I am patient, enthusiastic and dedicated to my students.

My teaching philosophy can be summed up in a few words : learning should be fascinating, relevant, individualized and fun. Helen Keller said, “ A well-educated mind will always have more questions than answers.” My goal is to help my students ask the questions that will lead them to deeper understanding. The poet Mark Van Doren said, “The art of teaching is the art of assisting discovery.” In our lessons, I will help you make discoveries that will ins
pire you to keep learning.

When I’m not teaching, I love reading, exploring the California coast, writing poetry, meditation and singing loudly.

I want to improve your skills in conversational language, grammar, vocabulary, or Advanced Placement Exams! ¡Vamos!

About Estela
My first language was Spanish, then I formally took and passed the AP Spanish exam in high school. I pursued a bachelor's degree in Spanish Literature and then moved on to teach Dual Immersion in Spanish at the Elementary Level. My fluency also extends to culture. By traveling to Spanish speaking countries I bring added experiences to you!

Students can expect a variety of teaching techniques to improve grammar, conjugating verbs, and tips for vocabulary retention. My background in teaching special education children also helps me quickly identify areas of need. If you are looking to improve your conversational Spanish, then I have fun and creative ways to enhance your practice.

Let's start where you are and improve from
there. My passion for words is my first love! I look forward to any questions (preguntas) that you may have.

Experienced native Spanish teacher , specializing in the beginner/intermediate/ advanced student! All ages welcome. Lessons are customized and catered to the needs/goals of each student. Not only will you be speaking fluently very soon, but also knowing how to express yourself like a native speaker. Let's get started!

About Genesis
As a graduating honor Spanish Education major at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, I have strong interest in teaching the Spanish Language. With experience working in High school levels, academic background and career interests, I believe I would make an excellent tutor A Spanish teacher requires skills in fluency, cultural knowledge, enthusiasm, and communication skills. Thus, as a native Spanish speaker, enthusiasm for teaching, and strong instructional skills I proved to be a valuable asset to help you learn Spanish

My first teaching experience was tutoring both students at ULL and high school students in the lafayette area. In addition, I am currently a Spanish high school teacher in one of the best schools in the Lafayette area. I planned and organized unique materials for thematic units using Comprehensible Input. Co
mprehensible Input is language input that can be understood by listeners despite them not understanding all the words and structures in it. By giving learners this kind of input helps them acquire language naturally, rather than learn it consciously. So far, this technique has been working great and students are showing language acquisition quickly. Also, I am focused on motivating students by creating an active learning environment, and working with students in all skill areas by doing differentiated instruction.
