About Paul
You might not always notice it, but music is all around—from the stereo in your car to the music piped in at department stores. And you also may not be aware that music has a wide array of impacts on your health: Studies show that music has a strong effect on your mood levels and emotions, and also on how you think and your general intelligence. The music you listen to can have a profound effect on your test scores and your ability to quickly process information. And if you’ve ever played an instrument, studies show that you’re already ahead of the curve. Playing an instrument is a great way to test out your creative thinking and push your brain to process information in a new way. Whether you’re listening or playing, a little music can go a long way. I am here to help you realize not only your playing potential, but guide you into not ju
st becoming a guitar player, piano player, but a musician. I am able to teach Piano, Guitar, Music recording from software/hardware to MIDI, including Sonar, Reason, and related software.

I have studied music at California State University San Bernardino, where I minored in music and learned the immense possibilities of the music field. Music is part of my everyday life, and its an honor to know I can play music but also create it. My goal is to show you as the student how to realize that dream.

I am a very friendly, fun and patient instructor. I believe that when you take any type of music lesson, it should be to have fun. With fun, passion, and dedication, sky is the limit. I do offer recording sessions to my students to track their progress, and give you a copy to keep as memorabilia.

*** Studio Equipment ***
Bergman Upright Piano. Fender Acoustic/ Gibson Electric. Marshall Amps. Digital and analog Recording Station.

*** Specialties ***
I have basic knowledge of classical works, but my emphasis is in modern rock/ Alternative. I like teaching the songs you like to hear from The Beatles to Green Day! I love all music genres and if I have not heard of the song you want to play I will learn it so that I can teach you!

I wrote a 5-star review for Art after I had only one or two lessons. After having taken 3 or 4 more, I felt the need to write another one. In his profile, he said his students advance quickly, and he backs that up ten-fold. If you are serious about learning or improving your voice, and you follow his directions, you will advance quickly and you won't even realize it is happening until you are alone and you belt something out that you didn't know you could do. When you are stuck, he knows just what to do. Bottom-line, he gets fast results! As a business executive and a veteran, that is the strongest compliment I can give.

I've been teaching music for 15 yrs on guitar, piano, bass, cello and bass. My students have ranged from from 5yrs to 75yrs of age. I have seen many student go on to join orchestras, bands, broadway shows or simply continued their education to a university or college. Being able to read music profeciently has given me the opportunity to teach off many method books but like to use Alfred Method, Mel Bay and Frederick Noad Method books. I teach many styles ranging from classical, jazz & blues, rock, contemporary and pop. I do stress and recommend all my students to learn how to read music and usually by our second or third lesson they will playing simple songs. I am here to help you make music!

About Omar
Knowing that you are looking for a instructor to teach you music puts a smile on my face. You see, music has been a part of my life since the age of 3. Some of my first memories are of me accompanying my father at home with his rehearsals or just singing together to have fun as a family. I believe music is a gift that unites people together bringing out our deepest emotions that words cannot express. At the age of 5 I received an organ and from that point on I embarked on a long life journey to indulge and learn more about music. In elementary, junior high and high school I was involved in any subject dealing with music. I joined school choirs, orchestras, bands, marching bands, jazz bands, musicals you name it. While enjoying all school music activities I was selected to join in honor county and state orchestras and choirs. In junior h
igh and high school I was selected to play for the Junior Pacific Symphony Orchestra, received scholarships to music summer camps, and was selected musician of the year. In college my quest continued with the Orange Coast College Orchestra, Praise Symphony Orchestra, Vanguard University Orchestra as well as guitar ensembles and college choir groups. I've also taken private lessons from Dr. Art David (Julliard graduate) in stand up bass as well as David Black (Pacific Symphony Orchestra) and classical guitar with Richard Glenn and David Murray. I've been teaching now for 15 years in guitar, classical guitar, bass guitar, stand up bass, cello, piano and voice ranging from 5 yr old to 65 yr old. My styles of music range from classical, jazz, rock, blues and contemporary. At this point I'm enjoying playing and singing in my church choir and worship team as well as teaching my two kids the joys of music. I hope you truly enjoy the joy of learning music whether it be through me or another teacher.

*** Lesson Details ***
As a teacher I require all students to set time aside to practice. For without it, it is only wasting your time, your money and my time. I don't expect a total dedication to it but I do want to see some effort put into it. A little practice can go a long way and the more you do it, the faster you will progress and the more you will enjoy it. We will first start off with what you want out of music and the level you are at and go from there. Student can bring their own music either thru tabs, music sheet or just by ear but one thing I do expect is a student to learn how to read music notation. We will go thru the regular warm up exercises, material practiced during the week and any new music for the following week. Correct techniques in how to hold your instrument or voice procedures will be addressed. Music theory will also be part of the lesson as well as ear training. At the end of either 3 to 6 months you will have learned the basics of music and will be playing songs for you or someone else to enjoy. I will make it a total relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere but some dedication has to put on the students' part.

*** Studio Equipment ***
Dedicated music room, guitar both classical and electric, piano, cello, upright bass and electric bass guitar

*** Travel Equipment ***
I provide my own instrument. I can also provide music stand, small amplifier if needed and music material for the first few lesson until student provides for him/her self. Student must have own instrument.

*** Specialties ***
My way of teaching would have to be that they must learn how to read music while learning how to play an instrument.

Teaching piano begins with learning, playing, knowing, and loving the piano and the music it can produce. You will learn the music theory (scales to modes, rhythm, music signs), develop a good piano technic, improve sight reading. I teach classical and contemporary styles.

About George
I am so glad you’re here!

The music lessons for young children are full of fun, interactive activities with iPads apps and traditional methods that not only help develop a strong musical foundation and build essential life skills, but offer a unique bonding experience for you and your child.

Discover for yourself why families love my innovative music lessons for kids.

YES! Music Matters!

The curriculum is built on research that proves MUSIC MATTERS. Music affects virtually every aspect of development and when young children are consistently engaged by music during the “musical window” they benefit at many levels.

What about private lessons?

Do I believe in private lessons? You bet! But I know from experience that private lessons are most valuable for older kids who have the ability to concentrate in a one-to-one setti
ng.

With this Private setting you will have a solid foundation in keyboard skills and music theory and typically excel quickly in their continued music education and when learning other instruments. The education and experiences a child has in my music program sets them up for success with private instruction.

Music Program

Builds spatial-temporal reasoning skills critical for greater success in math and science studies.

Music students out-perform non-music students on achievement tests in reading and math.

Music students receive more academic honors and awards than non-music students.

Develops social and emotional skills including the ability to relate to others and better express ideas, and less likely to have behavior/discipline problems.

I offer up to 2 recitals a year so that you can perform everything you know.

Feel free to reach out and let's setup some lessons.

Thank you, George F.

George, was very patient, kind, and seem very knowledgeable. He seems to understand the pedagogy of teaching to kids and realize they all learn differently. I personally think he went above and beyond for my Son first class and for our first introduction. He offered a more modern approach method of teaching music and Piano to my son who so far seem more receptive in learning and practicing. Will se where that take us but I am very please so far.

I am adept at teaching many types of genres on the piano, from pop music to Broadway Musicals!

About Elisa
I am a patient and creative pianist who loves music and loves teaching. I have been blessed with many varied musical experiences that has ultimately enhanced my skills as a musician and a piano instructor.
My musical training began at an early age, four years, which eventually led to a Bachelor's Degree in Music from the University of California, Riverside. Along with my classically-trained studies, I had the opportunity to travel to several countries to study the music of many cultures. This experience further enhanced my musical knowledge and musicianship skills.
I have studied and worked as a music therapist and a ballet music accompanist. Although I have enjoyed these and is grateful for these experiences, nothing can compare to my love of teaching piano. I have taught piano to adults and children, beginning skill levels through ad
vanced skill levels.
As you or your child's instructor, I will do my very best to cultivate a love and appreciation for music and the arts. I look forward to working with you.

She uses for her lessons an integrated approach to play piano. Anna teaches students theory of music, clear singing, selection of accompaniment for student's favorite songs, and transposing to the different keys. For young beginning students she uses Alfred's method and for adult beginning students she uses Nancy and Randall Faber's method.

About Anna
Anna M. graduated in Chelyabinsk, Russia in Music Pedagogical College #1 as music teacher and music educator in 1984, and graduated from Academy of Culture and Arts as a teacher of choral disciplines and conducting in 1989.

She has taught all ages from preschool to college having 25 years of pedagogical experience as a music teacher.

She is continuing her musical career in America as a music teacher giving private lessons (having performances with students every 6 months), and as an assistant and substitute music teacher of Musical Mind program (teaching piano for students of elementary school level), of Music Together program for children of 0-5 years old and their parents, as a music teacher .

*** Lesson Details ***
Anna's teaching philosophy is that every child has a music talent, and the way that he will develop this musical
ity depends on conditions like the wish of a child to play piano, and parents' support which includes a practice at home and admiration for kid's success.

The main task for a teacher is to inspire a child to love music. To do it she uses an integrated approach to play piano. Her lessons include playing piano by notes, theory and history of music, clear singing, and selection of accompaniment for students' favorite songs.

For young students Anna uses music games and recital for families. She prefers to teach beginning and intermediate students because it is very important to open the beauty of music and understand it.

Anna is using Alfred's method to teach the young students. She bases her adult program on books by Nancy and Randall Faber.

Anna has been teaching our two children for over a year. She is very patient and pays attention to detail. She has noticed things in our son that a previous teacher had missed. I have played piano for 12 years and trombone/euphonium for 7 years. I am comfortable teaching children music in many settings. My approach to teaching is to create a situation in which the student is presented with information in such a way that is both easy-to-understand but also fun and interesting, especially for younger students. It is important to me to always gauge the student's understanding of the concept at hand and provide them with frequent opportunities to ask questions specific to their needs, so that they understand all material. Furthermore, I emphasize giving the student strategies to practice and learn on their own, so that they can also grow independently outside of the lesson time.

About Lauren
I recently graduated from Etiwanda High School on 22 May 2018 with Summa Cum Laude Honors, and will now be pursuing a Music Performance degree at the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music at California State University, Long Beach. I passed my ABRSM Grade 8 Piano Exam with Distinction, which is the last level of exams.

I have had a beginner piano student for 3 years, as well as several trombone and euphonium students in that time. I was also the Co-Teacher for the Freshman Concert Band at my high school for 2 years, as well as a Section Leader, Brass Captain, and Leadership Coordinator.

I was a member of many gold-medalist ensembles at my school, several honor bands such as the Pasadena City College Tournament of Roses Honor Band and The Academy Drum and Bugle Corps, and I also work as a piano accompanist.

I can show you how all those scales you were forced to learn as a kid actually connect to real playing skills! We'll focus on rep YOU want to do to keep you inspired. You'll love being able to play AND you'll love the journey!

About Fred
I can help you find the joy in learning music! Gone are the days of the old, crusty, strict piano teacher with a ruler. I'm here to show you that the dream you have of playing piano, singing, drums, or producing is completely within your grasp. You just have to take a leap of faith.

I have spent my life living and breathing music. I began singing in middle school in choir and in college, have sung in Segerstrom Hall, Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Hollywood Bowl, and the Greek Theater all under the batons of well known maestros!

My father started teaching me piano as a kid, but I really dove into it in college, where I joined a band that is still together. We play reggae, and I can play almost any style, just ask!

I've always had a rhythm in my soul, but I started playing drums for my high school choir, after which I joined my school's
drum corps. My background in those hard corps basis (see what I did there?) has helped me develop a unique and tasteful style. I can show you the ropes and you'll be playing your favorite covers in no time!

Production is a very special skill to learn and I would recommend at least a little bit of it for ANY musician! Learning about song structure can help anyone appreciate music more and even make their own! A big part of modern producing is assembling previously created parts into your own creation. If you've ever been listening to the latest club beat and felt yourself hearing other ways the producer might have timed out the samples or rhythms... then you have the SPARK!

Music is the most important thing that makes us human and gives us our identity, confidence, and purpose. I hope you'll let me help you find that side of yourself!

I love to teach my students how to get to where they want to be. If they want to ultimately learn how to play well-known classics by composer’s like Beethoven, Debussy, or Bach, I’ll start them on a track to learn what’s essential in order to attain their goal. If they want to learn Disney songs or pop piano, I’ll take a different route.

To me, piano is a wonderful tool that people can use to express themselves, relax and have fun! And that is exactly what I want my students to get out of their lessons, too.

About Shannon
I’ve been playing the piano when I was 9 years old. I took private lessons for years, so I’ve been in my student’s shoes before, and I like to make lessons fun and interesting for them.

I played keyboard in my church worship band for several years throughout high school, and I took a few music courses in college.

Nowadays, I am content to play for myself and my family. It calms and relaxes me, and they enjoy the music flowing through the house.

I absolutely love working with kids and teens; I also currently serve as a high school leader at my church’s youth group every week, and love being able to invest in the teenagers there.
