I have experience tutoring many types of math ranging from 3rd grade to calculus. I enjoy helping students visualize and grasp firmer understandings of concepts. I find that most students are able to master material quickly once I give them the one-on-one attention that they do not get in the classroom.

About Max
I love to teach. I currently teach middle school and high school music electives at TREE Academy in West Hollywood as well as 1-on-1 music lessons at The Music Castle in Santa Monica. For my private students, I will come to you.
I started tutoring while earning my Music Engineering degree (B.S.) from the University of Miami. I studied jazz guitar at UM and during my many years as a guitarist I have performed genres from folk to metal to pop.
Most of my tutoring experience during college focused on math courses, SAT prep and music theory.
I am great with kids; I taught summer camps at a town-run skatepark for 4 summers.
Shoot me a message to see if we are a good fit!

I am an Engineering Student and I have completed math up to Differential Equations and Linear Algebra. I have a good grasp on Mathematical concepts, so I am able to explain problems to others in a way that can be easily understood.

I can teach all math subjects up to 3nd year Calculus, and Differential Equations. I can inform students of which concepts are important for future math classes to better prepare them for passing their next classes!

About Trevor
My name is Trevor Karpinski, and I'm a College student pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering. I have achieved an AA in Mathematics and a Certification of Pre-Engineering at Irvine Valley College. I am currently enrolled at California State University, Fullerton in my Junior Year, with my B.S. expected in Spring 2020.

At a young age, I was fascinated with physical objects and I loved to understand the inner-workings of everything around me. Mathematics came naturally to me, and as I advanced into High School, Engineering was suggested to me and I knew that it was the perfect path. My passion in Engineering is Mechanical Design, and I hope to pursue a career in Renewable Technologies in the Automotive industry.

Tutoring is a comfortable place for me because I love teaching others about the underlying concepts that govern large
systems. I believe that understanding the details is what truly makes a great student, and learning from a conceptual angle has served me well, as well as the students I have tutored.

I have helped many students with Calculus, Physics, and Engineering classes. I have and continue to keep a detailed record of all class material, making past knowledge easily accessible for every tutoring session. I have a patient personality, and I am able to explain difficult concepts in much simpler, and easier to understand ways. Through years of tutoring, and actively being a student, I understand that everyone learns differently and I am equipped with several different techniques and teaching styles to uniquely help you understand tough topics in a customizable way.

I can tutor all levels of Math students, from Kindergarten through College level, including difficult topics such as Differential Equations, College-level Physics, and up to intermediate Chemistry.

If you're looking for help with homework, or help with understanding difficult concepts to get the A you deserve, I'm the tutor for you!

Trevor is a wonderful, down-to-earth, and patient tutor. He helped me through a tough period of Calculus 1 & 2 where I just couldn't figure it out. He was always on-time, precise, and thorough. His knowledge of Mathematics is very diverse and he always went above and beyond to ensure I understood it. I would highly recommend him as a tutor for any subjects he offers as he's very competent and kind.

Trevor is an extremely professional tutor who helped me understand a subject I struggled with for two semesters. Through supplementary material and concise explanations, he was able to make every topic much more clearer. His knowledge and passion for physics extends beyond the realms of my homework as he showed me not only how to use the equations, but how they were derived and why they work. He was always punctual and efficient. Highly recommend!

I am a math instructor, teaching small classes as well as individual lessons. I received a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics at the University of Puget Sound in 2016 and am open to all ages and all levels. I would cater lessons to the student's specific goals and strive to help them better understand difficult concepts as well as build a solid foundation for higher level math.

About Jenna
I am a performer, teacher, and student. While working towards a Masters in Performance with the Los Angeles Philharmonic's Burt Hara at Cal State Fullerton, I have subbed with local orchestras as well as participated in recording projects in Orange County. At the University, I perform with the wind symphony, orchestra, and new music ensemble.

When I was a child, my uncle, a doctor for the CDC in Atlanta, was visiting for Christmas. I only saw him once a year, and this year he gave me a pink plastic recorder. After becoming immediately obsessed with the small instrument, I begged my parents for lessons. “Lessons on the recorder?” they laughed. Every Christmas, my uncle would bring a duet book, and we would play duets on recorder. Finally, in third grade, my parents started me on piano and the next year, I began private lessons on
clarinet.

I found my passion for playing at a young age. I believe that although it is important to build good technique, practice habits, and musicality, it is also important to keep the passion and joy that playing music can bring us. As I grow as a person and a musician, I always try to remember what brought me to music in the first place: playing and enjoying music with my friends and peers.

Aside from performance, I discovered my passion for teaching as I started working with students in private lessons and working as a camp counselor at a woodwind camp. I was invited to sub with the Auburn Symphony and was excited to perform Tchaikovsky’s Symphony no. 2 beside my mentor and friend, Jennifer Nelson. Today, I am indebted to the inspiration my uncle gave me as a child and all my teachers for my opportunity to pursue a Masters of Music in Clarinet Performance at Cal State Fullerton.

I was taught the traditional Math techniques but I am able to teach the new method COMMON CORE. I have been teaching all Math concepts to colleagues and students for 10+ years. It is with great joy I utilize things such as marbles to help with certain concepts as well. As someone who has helped others with Math concepts they have continued to pass the course and went on to other advanced Math courses with the new found confidence and understanding. This goes for elementary level high school level students as well as college level.

About Priscilla
It is with great pleasure I introduce myself Priscilla. I am willing to help any and all students with concepts, methods and ways to enrich your learning journey. I have been a tutor for many subjects from Chemistry, advanced Biology and many other subjects. Teaching has been one of my strong abilities. I have taught many of my fellow colleagues and students while working as a tutor. My goal is to aid the student in understanding complex ideas and make them simple for anyone to understand. I have worked with special needs adults in a classroom setting of about 20 and helped them with spelling, grammar and math skills. I would do individual lesson planning based on their capabilities and make it fun.

My passion is seeing a student or anyone I am explaining a concept to have the face light up when they understood the idea. This is so muc
h better then any compensation I can ever receive. I look forward to have you allow me to teach you.

Priscilla was one of the best teachers my kids ever had. She was patiant and held high standards for them all while keeping the work light and entertaining. My kids ages 4, and 5) saw a new light in learning new things and learned to actually read within a week worth of her services. I have mentored over 50 students in 20+ different subjects. I have experience with grades 4th to 12th, undergraduates, graduate students, and industry professionals.

I guarantee improvement in your understanding of the material starting from our first lesson together. I am committed to my students' success!

About Gerardo
My name is Gerardo Morabito. I studied Mechanical Engineering at the California Institute of Technology. I am a STEM focused tutor that specializes in teaching all levels of math (AP included), science, academic test prep, and college level classes. One of my greatest strengths as a tutor is my ability to communicate with my students. I identify areas that need improvement and figure out where the fundamental disconnect between the material and my student's understanding of it exists. In addition to tutoring, I have 7 years of experience in technology startups in the semiconductors and consumer electronics industries.

My philosophy is to teach my students to learn by intuition and logic rather than memorization. I emphasize teaching the fundamentals to build up a strong foundation of understanding. I believe this approach produces sup
erior long-term learning and enables my students to continue succeeding later in life.
