I teach all levels and people with various backgrounds in acting
Briana teaches voice to all ages and all levels. She incorporates breathing exercises, vocal warm-ups, and ear training, into all lessons, as well as performance practice of a song from any genre of the student's choosing. Once the student masters the song, he or she also has the unique opportunity to record the song in Briana's home studio. Her philosophy is that lessons should be fun and productive and, therefore, all of her students have a great time, as well as learn a lot. :-)
Briana also holds a masters degree in English literature and has been teaching English for over 15 years. She is qualified to teach the following: English as a second language, creative writing, English literature, advanced essay writing, composition, and a wide array of others. She teaches at the elementary, middle, high school, and college levels.
a has studied various vocal genres under a wide variety of coaches: classical, chamber, and pop voice; musical theatre voice and jazz, soul, R&B, and gospel technique at McGill University in Montreal. Briana also spent 10 years studying the classical Suzuki method of piano under Phyllis Kranz (Dover, NH), which helped to develop her ear.
Briana is a versatile vocalist and songwriter whose voice can be heard in many top film, TV, and commercial spots, including the 2018 Walgreens summer campaign, the VISA 2018 Olympics spots, 2017 McDonald's, and many more projects for leading global brands like Adidas, Coca-Cola, Smirnoff, American Express, Maybelline, Living Social, and Fanta. In addition to her extensive film and commercial work, Briana has also performed her original music to packed shows on the stages of the Sunset Strip, including House of Blues, Key Club, and the Whiskey a Go Go. She's had the privilege of singing national anthems at Dodger Stadium, The Molson Centre, The Whittemore Center, and at various Gubernatorial Galas and Inaugurations.
Brianna was fantastic with my fourteen year old! She helped build up confidence, was very encouraging and made lessons fun. She uses a variety of techniques to teach singing skills including speech-level singing by Seth Riggs. I highly recommend her for beginners as well as for people looking to record a demo.

Supportive, fun, and SO knowledgeable
I started taking singing lessons because I wanted to pick up another hobby, and Briana has helped me do just that. She is incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, and supportive regardless of what your goals are. She makes the technical side of signing fun and enjoyable, something other teachers I have worked with have been unsuccessful at. Briana provides a positive and warm space to let loose in, and most importantly has reminded me that I don't always have to take myself so seriously. I highly recommend Briana to anyone who is looking for a teacher they can create a connection with, regardless of skill level because she can handle it all!

Talented, understanding and fun!
I just wanted to take singing lessons for fun and to build up my confidence singing around others. Briana has taken my needs into account and has done a great job putting together lessons that fit my needs. She offers a very relaxed, soothing atmosphere that gives me the comfort that I need to be able to work on my goals. She is very talented as well, which helps me feel confident in her abilities to teach me what I'm looking to learn. Overall, she is a great singing coach and I would recommend her to anyone! :o)

*** Lesson Details *** We will always work on whatever you want.
For Singing, as a vocal technician/trainer I am like going to the gym for your voice. My exercises are safe, simple, and most importantly, I teach you how to practice correctly.
For ACTing, we can explore both the foundation itself, building your acting chops with monologues and scenes, as well as learning how to audition-- the tricks of the trade mastering the camera frame and how to create memorable auditions for TV/Film.
For Songwriting, we can explore the fundamentals of both lyrics and music, as well as catchy hooks, production, and song structure.
You may use my time however you wish (Voice, Acting, Songwriting, or Artistic/Career guidance).
Most vocal sessions will usually be a combination of strengthening/conditioning exercises, and then exploring/performing a song.
The TIYA vocal training method is uniquely my own as it combines both Bel Canto and Speech Level Singing. Emphasis is on developing a relaxed, released, authentic vocal timbre to sing in any style. Concepts explored include: Coordination, Registration, and Intonation. Chest, Head, Edge, and Pharyngel registration, 2 instruments in 1, posture, breath management, vocal cord adduction, trigger phrases, ring, consistency, and more.
Most ACTing sessions will be theatre monologues, TV/Film sides and/or On camera auditioning craft.
Career consultations usually include how to get an agent, headshots, branding, and marketing to align your artistic dreams with a strategy for success.

Private lessons will tackle character development, scene analysis and breakdown, beats, creating strong choices, as well as camera technique for film/tv and/or stage blocking if the scene is for a theater audition or performance. Classes will always be tailored to the student's needs and goals.
VOCAL COACH Rehabilitating and strengthening voices are two of my top specialties, and each lesson will have specific exercises tailored to helping you transform your voice into the highest and best version of your instrument. I work with singers signed to labels as well as the indie artist just starting to find his/her voice, style, and signature sound. My coaching approach incorporates some of the newest technologies that have shown extraordinary results in breaking down the inner blocks of each artist. It is a tremendously joyful and fulfilling experience to watch as my students really let their instrument shine brightly, boldly, and with an aboslutely stunning groundedness as they discover how powerful they truly are.
Poised, energized, and armed with unforgettable performance ability, Michelle G
. is a firework in the artistic arena. Her training began at the young age of 3 with the violin, and a few years later received classes for piano and voice. Excelling in all three, Michelle developed a very passionate and dramatic personality that eventually led her to more dramatic genres such as opera and stage acting. Her aptitude to understand human emotions and relationships gives her a wide spectrum to play in as an actress. There is an organic flow to her interpretations both as an actress and musician that leads the audience to feel her emotional current. Her honest characterizations introduce deeper perspectives on what seems like the ordinary roles and storylines. Amongst the many other leads that she has played, her participation in roles like “Susanna” in The Marriage of Figaro, or “Donna Elvira” in Don Giovanni embody much vibrancy and integrity. Through the development of her voice as a singer and actress, she has crossed over into other media such as voice over commercial work and vocals for pop/main stream music productions. She has recently participated as a vocalist and violinist in the albums of artists such as international jazz pop artist David Longoria, Latin pop singer Erick Bolivar, Grammy-nominated percussionist Souhail Kaspar, and American Idol’s Seysha. Over the last few years she has unraveled her musical skills as a songwriter/composer/arranger and has even had some small victories acquiring music placements on TV shows (NCIS, short film “Sumtin’ Like Dat”, The Dictator) for herself and some of her colleagues. Her singing can also be heard on the hit tv show "Jane The Virgin", "Castle" and "Shameless" amongst others.
Education Michelle completed her Associates of Arts for Music/Music Education at the age of 18, and got later graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Miami with a Bachelor's of Arts for Musical Theater and Music Business, as well as from Florida International University with a Master's of Music in Vocal Performance.
*** Lesson Details *** I tailor my lessons to my student's needs, style, abilities, and goals. Learning is truly a fun and passionate adventure for me, and my enthusiasm has consistently been a contagious quality :) I love to challenge myself & my students to discover how immense their true potential is, and I create a safe and fun environment to explore such facets.
My curriculum is combination of solid tradition (Suzuki method for piano & violin, and Bel Canto technique for singing) interwoven with pop-culture, and modern influences. Within the first 3-6 months, my students will know the basic building blocks of music - which includes scales, arpeggios, triads, intervals, technique, and performance repertoire; and for my singers this will include proper breath technique, tone placement, support, very often increased vocal range (both high and low), and will feel significantly stronger vocally and more confident getting up to sing.
*** Studio Equipment *** Full size Keyboard, mics, pro tools, Violin (electric, acoustic, and Chinese Ehru)
It's been a great experience to have lessons online. Although it lasted 45 minutes, I have seen that these types of lessons are very useful and practical. Thank you for providing these lessons!

I have been a professional actor in the film + television industry for 16 years and counting. My training is mainly based in Meisner, with a degree in Character + Script Analysis from one of the best 2-year conservatories in the nation. I have also completed a Shakespeare Intensive course at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London. I have a background in Uta Hagan's methods, Stanislavsky, Stella Adler and Lee Strasberg, so whatever your fancy, I would be able to help in a way specific to your process. I am still a working actor and have years worth of on-set experience as well and could help with any audition prep needed. I love working with actors helping them reach a greater level of understand of themselves + their processes!
Hello! As someone who's worked professionally as an actor for over 17 years, I know first-hand how difficult it can be to find a coach you're comfortable with or who understands your particular process. No two actors are alike and what may work for one, may not work for another.
Meisner's technique was the one that has resonated deepest with me. The 2-year conservatory I graduated from taught his methods with a strong emphasis in the original precepts of Stanislavsky. However, before that I spent years studying Lee Strasberg, Uta Hagan, Boleslavsky and Michael Chekhov's methods. You could indeed say I've tried it all. I worked like a dog over a bone while studying and I know I'll never truly be done, which is also unbelievably exciting to me.
While my training is more theater-based, my experience is mainly in film + television. I
started working as a teenager and haven't stopped. My experience has also ranged from big budget movies (The Final Destination) to grittier, independent fare (Sugar Mountain). I have been the lead of every film I've done, save for one, which happened to be directed by my brilliant acting teacher, and I have worked with some of the most respected actors in the industry (Beau Bridges, Aidan Quinn, Jason Momoa, Rainn Wilson to name a few). I have had recurring guest stars on TV shows (Teen Wolf) and one episode arcs on others (The Librarians, Beauty and the Beast, Major Crimes). I also produce, write + direct my own films.
I love acting so much and I love people who are dedicated to becoming the best actors they can be. I have such a reverence for this art form, but recognize the importance of being irreverent while searching for a higher truth in a moment. I truly look forward to working + playing together to help you become a more truthful, confident actor!
Haley is absolutely fantastic! I look forward to our each session !

Haley is exactly what I need. Experience, easy to talk and answer questions. I have been an instructor for many years in the Music biz, but being a student now with Haley as my instructor seems a great pleasure. I feel I will learn much from her easy going approach. I look forward to many more lessons... Dino Maddalone

I worked with Haley multiple times as I was preparing a role and the insight she offered me really helped take my preparation to the next level. She worked with me until I felt completely confident and the work we did definitely paid off. I got great reviews and my director and other actors even commented on how advanced my work had become.
Extensive experience teaching acting from beginners to advanced students. Additional experience in audition coaching.

"Really great! Amber was so fun and easy to work with. She was able to bring out the best in me and help me feel confident going into my audition. I hope t
o work with her again soon."
"I'm so lucky to have worked with Ben over the course of several years. His direction has helped to totally transform me from someone who likes to act into
an actor. Ben knows how to bring the best out of his students and does so with warmth and optimism. He understands the anatomy of a scene and is totally able to maximize your potential. With his enthusiasm and theatrical prowess, it will be hard to not become passionate about acting.
Ben directed the musical Into the Woods, and I played the Narrator/Mysterious Man. At first I was a bit unexcited about the part, but Ben's direction shaped it into my favorite role I've played yet. I believe it was in this show I began to immerse myself in the parts I played on stage, and I mostly credit that to him. I saw some of the best performances out of my cast mates as well.
All in all, Ben knows what he's doing and I'd recommend him to anyone excited about acting. You'll be surprised on how much you'll improve. He's the best!"
"My son has been working with him for over a year and we couldn’t be happier. He is very professional and dedicated. Not only he has an extraordinary talen
t as an actor but his teaching approach and communication skills are marvelous. Mr. Capote has greatly improved my son acting growth and skill refinement. He helped him to prepare for the acting college audition process with great response of my son being accepted to over 10 of the top acting programs in US including Carnegie Mellon University."
"I really love working with Charles. He makes acting very practical and challenges me to look at scenes and how I break them down in a different way. My pr
eparation for auditions has improved so much given his guidance. HIGHLY recommend it!"
"Amelia Nickels is and forever will be one of the best acting coaches I've ever had the pleasure of studying under. I've come across many of coaches who ty
pically only push their favorite style or method of acting and that be it and if it doesn't agree with you the result will always be tragic. Ms. Nickels worked with me hand in hand to push out some of my best and most emotional pieces ever. Her years of experience have taught her all the tricks of the trade to push you and the product; whether it be introducing a silent character into your monologue to get a more physical and visceral reaction out of you or having you run continuously back and forth in a room to help control your breathing and pace, she has it all. She cares about her craft and more so she cares about her students who just may get so lucky as to call her friend. Not to mention I once auditioned for an NBC casting representative, John Ort (yeah that guy), who saw Amelia Nickels' name on my resume and had the most glowing things to say about her. I'm not saying her connections will land you on John Ort's Modern Family (which I hear he won awards for that casting) but what I am saying is that even after half a decade from training with her her tutelage still carries with me on every script I memorize, commercial copy I tackle, or sides I inflect (I'm not sure that's a word). She's the Vince Lombardi of acting coaches, the Julia Childs of teaching techniques, she's the single best acting decision I've ever made."
