There are three simple things you need to know about my tutoring program. 1. Learning a foreign language is a part of your SELF DEVELOPMENT. Treat it as such. 2. I don't believe in "good or bad with languages" stereotype. If you really want to speak a new language I guarantee that my method will work for you. 3. All materials are created by me and edited by a group of talented language teachers and linguists. They are free and very useful no matter where, when and how you study Russian or French.
For over 7 years of professional experience as Russian/French/ESL teacher, I have worked with all types of students with different learning styles and various goals: taught within U.S. public education institutions, provided private classes for children and adults, developed and i
mplemented individualized syllabus for diplomats, high rank executives at multinational companies, employees of U.S. Embassy and Department of State.
Thanks to all my students, current and former, I am now confident that every individual, willing to learn one of the languages I teach, without a doubt, has everything it takes to succeed when the right approach is applied.
It is one on one program, thouroughtly personalized and organized according to your interests (general and professional), schedule, final goals, learning style and many other important elements to be taken into account.
Each session is 50 minutes.
Every session is prepared to reach a particular goal and structured in the way to have a maximum profit from "teacher - student" part of learning. Supporting materials are sent after each session: grammar notes, retention exercises, homework assignments, audio and video files as phonetic exercises and listening practice. The content of these materials is permanently tested and modified in order to achieve the best way to engage each individual student's language acquisition mechanisms.
Teacher's support 24/7.
Extra curricula content: idiomatic language components, cultural studies (traditions, history, literature, cinema and language related etymology), recommendations for independent language practice.
The way I see it, with each new student - there is a new process in my head that starts and constantly creates and improves techniques, ideas, method components, teaching style e.t.c for getting this particular student to do the best he or she can.
More recommendations can be provided upon request.

Привет! Russian is my first language and it has a very special place in my heart. I love it for its emotional charge and incredible poetic expression. After many years of helping my friends who study classical voice, I found new interesting and simpler ways to teach this language
Hello dear students! My name is Artem and I have been playing violin since I was 4 years old and am a freelance musician, composer and pedagogue. I am passionate about teaching because I believe education and willingness to learn is an extremely important factor for personal development and success. I was born and raised in Saint Petersburg, Russia and underwent intensive training in voice, violin, composition and piano. After winning the Frieburg Intenational Violin Competition in 2010, I was offered a full scholarship to study music at Dalhousie University at the age of sixteen. After moving to Canada I went through a 9-month intensive english learning program, so I know first hand how difficult it can be to learn a new language. This experience helped me understand the struggles that any ESL student goes through and discover new way
s to teach Russian and English to others. I am excited to get to know you and share my knowledge with you!
Not only is Artem a world class violinist but also a very nice person who will make you look forward to the next lesson.

I've been teaching Russian for 5 years. Within the first lessons, you'll know alphabet and how to greet people in Russian. From lesson to lesson you'll increase vocabulary and after a few lessons your knowledge will be enough to read short stories. I use online workbooks, textbooks. I have a list of websites. They let students learn grammar, listen to dialogues, watch movies. I love working with students and can't wait to start this journey through Russian grammar and literature with you.

Being exposed to Russian culture, traditions, and literature since I was born, I am fascinated by people who are willing to put their time and effort in learning this great language.
I have been teaching Russian for a few years, and majority of my classes are based on learning basic communication, grammar, and reading through the use of one-on-one conversations and interactive exercises. You will learn vocabulary and proper pronunciation/spelling.
You should not be afraid of making mistakes at the beginning! You will improve your communication/writing/reading skills much quicker if you get comfortabl

Miss Anna is a right teacher for me. She helped me a lot to expand vocabulary
and improve my conversation skills.
July 22, 2019
Anna was helping my 11 year old improve his verbal skills while we were on vacation for 5 weeks in NYC. Instead of sitting in a class room the lessons were spent at different places in the city and Anna prepared interesting themes for every lesson that let my son both practice speaking a lot as well as hear many interesting stories of NYC. In addition to being a great teacher Anna is also an excellent guide.
July 12, 2019
I enjoyed my first lesson with Anna. She is a very good teacher. She understood my goals and structured the class in the right format. I look forward to having fluent conversations in Russian by the end of these sessions.
"Valentina is an excellent teacher! She made everything easy to understand on my first lesson and I look forward to continuing my studies with her."

"Very patient and nice. Knows her Russian."
"Excellent instructor. Outstanding preparation. Developed a plan for the lesson and executed it very well with attention to my level of the language. Al
so, set goals and a general outline for the next lesson. Very friendly and supportive throughout the lesson."
"Aksana is an awesome professor! From the comfort of my home, I meet with Aksana weekly for my Russian lesson over video chat. Each lesson is structured, a
s we have the Russian book of lessons that we go through to review grammar rules and new vocab lists. In addition, each lesson consists of a lot of free form dialogue back and forth, completely in Russian! Aksana is very patient, repeating words many times so you can ensure you are having a natural pronunciation! She also sends audio clips so that I can listen to the vocab from a native speaker accent as well. Aksana always has interesting facts to understand why and how the language came to be as it is. Overall, the class is extremely informative but also fun and we get to practice actual conversation!"
"*Amendment to my original - meant to have 5 stars! :) I have had a wonderful experience working with Aksana to learn Russian and highly recommend her as
a tutor. We have been working together for the last 5 weeks and I can really see the progress. I look forward to working with her in the coming months!"
"I have had the opportunity to study both Russian and French with Roman, and found his grasp of the material and his teaching style to both be excellent.
I recommend Roman very highly!"
"Aksana, is flexible with me and my crazy schedule. She's really helping with the Russian language!"
"Roman seems to be an incredibly experienced instructor who was able to meet me exactly where I was in linguistic skill and start teaching me from there. I
f you are looking for a quality Russian instructor, you found him."
"Anna is an enthusiastic, encouraging, and an inspiring teacher! Her lessons are engaging and delivered with respect. Her students would add that Anna is
ready with a smile, a kind word or two, and adds a splash of humor to their time together."
