Kristin is a wonderful teacher implementing the practical and the theory at the pace of the student. She made this 29-year old going through a mid-life crisis wanting to learn their first instrument very relaxed from the start. Kristin also bends the curriculum to your genre's to make it more enthusiastic.

Edwin is a fantastic teacher and so patient. I am amazed at how much my son has learned in just a couple lessons.

Had an excellent initial discussion with my instructor, Edwin, today. It was big picture but at the same time Edwin’s comments & suggestions gave me confidence in his command of the art (engineering, arrangement, composition & structure, and playing techniques), all the things I’m going to need help with to take my musical projects to another level.
Mike
Edwin is chill, flexible, and conveys a ton of relevant practice tips every lesson.

I have been passionately studying piano for 10 years and teaching it privately for 4 years, along with some class piano teaching experience. Teaching is a great passion of mine, and my ultimate goal is to guide students to be creative and appreciative of music at the piano.

I use a number of resources within my lessons. For children and most teenagers, I use the Faber Piano Adventures as a primary method book. I will also make use of their supplemental books for sight reading and music theory. For adults (and some teenagers), I use the Alfred's Basic Adult Piano Course (the Adult All-In-One Course book). After the completion of 2 or 3 method book levels, I will begin to introduce repertoire by the select composers of all musical periods and styles.

"Josh has taught my kids the fundamentals of playing the piano. My son had to stop piano lessons because he was overcommitted, but my daughter continues to work with him every week. Both kids have received important technical skills from him. But far more important than that, they have been inspired by him and have gained a love for music from him. Anyone can teach skills; Josh teaches how to love the art and craft. His passion is contagious. He teaches with joy and generosity. We started with Josh in person, but we, along with everyone, had to transition online. I was worried about it at first, but I can honestly say that his passion comes through the Zoom and my daughter still loves her lessons. I can't recommend him highly enough."

I am very pleased with my granddaughter's progress and continued enthusiasm. Priscilla is great at keeping young minds focused and motivated. "Zach is teaching our seven-year-old son, Ben, the piano. He's been working with Ben for seven months, now. Zach is kind and incredibly patient. He is encouraging by default. Ben looks forward to his lessons. Zach seems to match Ben's pace, pushing him forward when it's appropriate and reviewing material when it's clear that Ben is not ready. Zach began with familiar tunes, without sheet music, and Ben was proud of his early accomplishments at each step. Now that they're into reading music (using a Disney fake book), Ben feels comfortable and engaged. Zach is a graduate student, and he's on a student schedule (at least for now), which means scheduling lessons around the academic year--an approach that works well for us. It also means that we had the chance to see one of Zach's recitals at ASU, and that was inspirational for our own young pianist (and his dad). Ben and I recommend him highly."

What's the Hardest Piece to Play on Piano? And How to Advance Your Playing

The piano was invented over 300 years ago. Since then there have been some insanely difficult pieces written for the instrument, particularly from the 19th century onward. The most common choice for “most difficult piece” is probably the third etude from Grandes études de Paganini, S. 141,  “La campanella,” written by Franz Liszt in 1851. The dexterity and accuracy required to play it seems, to most observers, to be almost otherworldly. A YouTuber named Rousseau made a video that s …
