It is with great pleasure I recommended Yelena if you are looking for piano teacher. Yelena has been my teacher for much of 2009, after i made the drcision to pursue piano lessons as an adult. AlthoughI had taken piano lessons for a couple years as a child, my knowledge of the keyboard and understanding were of music were limited. I have worked with other piano teachers since reaching childhood, but the expeirience was not inspiring
or motivational.
That all changed when i started working with Yelena.
Her passion for sharing her love of music with her studentshas been great source of joy for me. With her guidance, I am playing at a much advanced level
Then ever before, and with a deeper appriciation of what i am doing. She combines the rigth amount of theory and scale work, with learning classisl pieces.
Yelena has the patience and warms of a great teacher, and believe she would be equally good working with children as she is with adults. Her contribution to promote the love of playing music in her students is a true gift to us all.

Yelena is one of those rare teachers whose passion for music and teaching comes through clearly to her students.

Carolyn is an experienced and very dedicated teacher. She is kind and patient and definitely has a gift for teaching, my 12 year old daughter has learned so much in so little time. We definitely plan to continue with Carolyn, our goal was to have my daughter read music by the end of the summer and she was already playing after the first session. Carolyn is also easy to work with, very accommodating and responsive. We are very grateful we found her.

About Trevor

Every musician was first and foremost a fan of music. My love of music began when my mother took me to a performance of Beethoven's fifth symphony when, coincidentally, I was five. From that point, I started fervently listening to my mother's records (those are the huge, black monstrosities t

As a trumpeter, my skills vary from technique, jazz improvisation, lead trumpet playing, to classical playing. I was a member of the Next Generation Jazz Orchestra in 2018, a jazz band consisting of musicians selected from across the United States. With this band I traveled to Japan and performed in the Monterey Jazz Festival in California. I have also toured Europe on several other occasions playing festivals such as the Montreux Jazz Festival and the Umbria Jazz Festival with the Philadelphia Jazz Orchestra. Here in the States I have played at venues such as Dizzy’s Club Coca Cola, Birdland, Chris’s Jazz Café in Philly, The Kennedy Center, and more.

About Jonny

I am a current student at William Paterson University studying jazz trumpet and music education. I have been fortunate to study with nationally and internationally acclaimed trumpeters Jeremy Pelt, Joe Mosello, and Nathan Eklund. Additionally, I have studied under the great guitarist Joseph Federic

My daughter started with Jonny when she was in the fifth grade. Jonny makes the experience of learning trumpet very enjoyable and my daughter finds him very patient and kind. There's never any pressure to master technique in a certain time frame. Jonny is a very accomplished musician and blends his knowledge from his different teachers to give his students a holistic and fun experience!

Jonny Gittings is not only a remarkable and exceptionally talented musician, he is equally skilled in his instruction. My son and daughter have taken trumpet lessons from Jonny for years and he is professional, knowledgeable, and always has a plan and a solution. No matter what may be troubling my kids with their music, their form or their instrument, Jonny always makes them feel at ease and helps them overcome any obstacle. We feel so fortunate to have learned from the best!

I’ve been classicslly trained in Saint-Petersburg, Russia, one of the best places in the world where one can learn how to be a musician. Since then I’ve learned how to love and play jazz, pop, and rock, as well as how to sing, compose and understand the principles of composition and music theory. I graduated from Conservatory in Almaty and Berklee College in Boston and I’m pursuing Master of Arts, while teaching and performing in Boston area. Teaching experience is as fascinating as piano performance and yet, is more challenging at times. My focus is to make sure my students understand what they do and why they do it in music and seeing them grow is one of the greatest feelings I’ve had.

About Alya

Hello everyone! My name is Alya Izumchensky, I was born and raised in Saint-Petersburg, Russia, where I started my piano lessons. I was a very competitive classical pianist in my teenage years in Russia, and have won many regional and national competitions. My favorite composers always were Chopin

Alya was awesome! She immediately found some mistakes I was making in my technique and was able to recommend improvements that will benefit my playing long-term. She was very professional but was polite and pointed out both my flaws and strengths and gave me much better insight on areas I excel in and which areas need more work.

If you are ready to take your music skills SERIOUSLY then stop wasting time and money on teachers who don't fully understand the instrument themselves. My name is Russell Steedle and I have been playing guitar professionally for 20 years and teaching music and producing records for over 10. I have worked with artists such as Mac Miller, Sean Kingston, Lifehouse, Disney's Caityln Taylor Love and have composed music to 100s of your favorite TV shows! Russ is a truly exceptional individual and very knowledgeable in all aspects of music theory, production and the industry. Not only is he an great at what he does, but he can also relate and impart that knowledge onto others - a skill that is surprisingly rare among high-caliber performers. The price per lesson seems higher than average at first glance, but I feel that the speed and amount of knowledge you acquire per dollar is actually lower than that of other instructors. Really.

He is also active in the industry, so the skills he teaches are current.

I take lessons with Russ online through Skype for EDM production in FL Studio. He is always punctual and promptly communicates if anything comes up. His teaching style carefully balances the need to provide guidance, while allowing freedom for individual artistic development. Every week, I start a composition or track analysis project that applies what I've learned in previous lessons, and I will submit it to Russ to discuss things that went well and things to work on in the future. In this way, you are not just being lectured, but you are actually learning to collaborate with an exceptional musician. I've personally experienced how constant application and feedback facilitates rapid learning.

He certainly is a serious musician, but that doesn't mean he doesn't have a fun personality. He is engaging and inspirational.

I would, without reservation nor hesitation, highly recommend Russ to anyone who is interested in professional music production.

"Edward was my student for three years and was an excellent student. He followed my instructions, always asking intelligent questions and executing my instructions excellently. He comprehends music and its historical context in performance and went further by investigating any interesting aspects about the composition and composer. He shows an advanced knowledge of classical music, but has a good knowledge of jazz as well. He showed patience in his learning and was disciplined and dedicated to practicing. He performed in an excellent and mature manner. I recommend him highly."

I've been playing drums for ten years. When I started taking lessons with Keith a year and a half ago, it became a real milestone. Keith helped me go from a mediocre player to a true student of the instrument. His genuine passion for both drums and teaching is palpable and inspiring, and his lessons often even go beyond the practice room. How to Set the Right Goals for Learning Guitar

Learning the guitar is a great goal in itself - but you'll need to get more specific if you want to truly make some progress! Read on as Hillsboro, OR guitar teacher Geoff A. walks you through the goal-setting process...   For Beginners The first goal is getting the fingers of the fretting hand to cooperate in forming chords. I begin with E, A, G, C, B7, and D chords. Practice ten to fifteen minutes twice a day and understand: your fingers will hurt a few weeks until calluses form, depen …
