I have a lot of recording hours under my belt. My specialty is helping you prepare for that recording session. Once the clock is ticking you want to make sure your work is done. Home recording is a whole new frontier, I can point you in the right direction getting your studio in working order. Know the difference between an engineer and a producer...in many situations you have to be both!

About Anthony
As a third generation musician, I've been playing professionally and teaching for over 25 years. I've had years of private lessons, graduated from GIT in Hollywood, taken college music courses and continue to perform, record, and teach music. YOU can have fun, learning songs that YOU like, or you can learn music theory (the explanation of music) or study different styles from rock to pop to hard core to blues, funk etc. All at YOUR pace. Many of my students, started from the point where they had never picked up an instrument and have gone on to tour or earn full music scholarships. It doesn't matter if it's a young girl wanting to learn some Disney Artist or some burly blue collar worker wanting to learn some Clapton: YOU can have fun learning guitar while improving at a rapid rate. Contact me, I'll make learning music and guitar a
very painless process.

*** Lesson Details ***
I'm serious and passionate about my students learning their instrument and becoming great musicians, however, I also want it to be an enjoyable process. You should look forward to your lessons but know I'm going to expect you to practice as well. I use a combination of my own curriculum and books that are based on the fundamentals of music. We can learn to read tablature or read traditional music. A excellent way to pick music at a quick pace is by learning songs in the style you like, while learning about the keys, scales, arpeggios, and chord construction once you're able to play some songs. After 3 or 6 months you will be playing a basic repertoire of songs that interest you while continuing to progress at a steady pace in the understanding of music.

*** Studio Equipment ***
North County Rehearsal Studio is a rehearsal hall with private lesson room, we have the amps to plug into and audio equipment so we can listen and learn from the music YOU like!!!  I can also come to YOUR house if the rehearsal located in Brea is too far.

*** Travel Equipment ***
I expect my students to have a guitar or bass so they can practice at home with. I could bring or provide a small practice amp and a music stand and some study materials. I teach in Orange County and I live in L.A County so If I need to come to your house I can cover a big area.

*** Specialties ***
During the course of my 20 plus years of teaching, I have had to teach individuals of all levels. I have had to teach little girls Hanna Montana, and blue collar workers--Eric Clapton. Styles include, Rock, Pop, Metal, Jazz, Rockabilly, Country, Spanish, Beginning Classical and ETC!

I've been teaching Music Recording and Production for over a year. For beginners, I utilize the software Audacity to teach the basic underpinnings of a Digital Audio Workstation (DAC). We learn how to mix, cut, splice, copy, paste, and use basic effects for recordings.

For intermediate music recording and production students, I utilize Logic Pro X for Mac. We learn how to utilize MIDI and audio recording; edit and arrangement techniques, user-created key commands; automation; mixing; and creating a final mix.

For all students, we also learn how to use microphones for vocal and instrument recording. We'll learn sound damping, portable vocal booth utilization, and acoustics.

I'd love to help you begin your journey on music and audio engineering! I can't wait to get started.

About Milton
Hey there, everyone!

My name is Milton Carl Jackson II and I teach vocal, guitar, piano, and musical theatre lessons in the Inland Empire area.

I help those young, middle-aged, and not-as-young tap into their own soul through music so that they may help others find theirs as well. I believe that in order to entertain others with your voice or your instrument, one must first be able to entertain oneself - all the while having fun doing it! As a recent graduate of the University of California, Davis with a double major in Music History & Ethnomusicology and African-American & African Studies; a former co-host of the popular hip-hop radio show ATF Radio: All Things Fresh on KDVS 90.3 FM; a former Music Director of The Afterglow of UC Davis; and a recent graduate of American University with a Master's of Education in Business Education
, I have come in contact and learned from a vast amount of different musicians and educators. A classically-trained bass-baritone with roots in R&B, Soul, Rock, Pop, and Jazz, I have aspirations to help each and every student realize their full musical potential.

If you're looking for a teacher who will motivate and inspire you not only to learn your instrument of choice, but also how to perform it (whether on the big stage or in your living room for the family) and record it as well, I'm the perfect teacher for you. Learning to sing, play, and act beautifully doesn't have to be difficult -- we'll work on finding your voice or your style, all while having fun along the way!

I teach in-studio, in-home, and online lessons, so we can be flexible with the lesson type and schedule!

This is a perfect chance for you or your child who can't stop singing around the house or has dreams of shredding on the guitar or twinkling on the ivories to learn the fundamentals of music, start something new that keeps them or you focused, and have fun while doing it!

Feel free to contact me at show contact info for any questions and check out my student reviews and qualifications.

I look forward to meeting you and accompanying you or your child on your musical journey!!

About Jonathan
I am a graduate of the Wheaton Conservatory of Music with a B.Mus.degree in Piano and Composition, and have taught private piano and drum lessons for over 15 years. I have experience with children and adults of all ages. I've performed with many bands over the years (US and Europe) including Mavis Staples, Andrew Bird, Tim Booth, Mucca Pazza, Bobby Conn, The Detholz, and Paris Delane.

My approach to teaching is fun and varied according to students needs and personalities. I teach reading, ear training, theory, technique, composition, song writing, performance, etc...and want to work with students on music that THEY want to learn.

*** Studio Equipment ***
Yamaha full sized digital piano
Fender Jazz Bass
Fender Stratocaster Guitar
Recording computer with Komplete 6, Ableton, etc.
Rode NT1 Condensor mic
Shure SM57's, Shure Bet
a 52
Bell set
Melodica's

*** Travel Equipment ***
For in home lessons, it's important that students have the instrument(s) that we're working on; this could be a snare drum, an electric keyboard, piano, bass guitar and practice amp, etc.

*** Specialties ***
For young kids on piano, I've worked a lot with a couple of things, including James Bastien and Piano Adventures books, simple transcriptions of songs students know and want to play, simple ear training games, and things like 5 finger scales.

For older students, i get them into a more disciplined routine with exercises and theory, but also cater repertoire to their interests. My playing background is pretty broad, including classical (in the broad sense of the term) study and performance (recital and competition), and rock and roll, blues, jazz performance.

I get excited about teaching composition, songwriting, and any higher level theory.

Drummers get the rudiments, independence practice, style study, reading, transcription, etc. I do lots of hands only work, but incorporate full kit playing as early as possible knowing that for a kid (or adult for that matter), sitting behind a drumkit is a very exciting thing and you wanna play it all. As with piano, i do transcriptions of favorite songs/beats for students often. My background on drumset and percussion is broad as well, from orchestral to rock and metal to jazz and big band, etc.

in general, i like to know what music my students are into, and will try to include material in those realms in their studies.

A talented musician and teacher, who is genuinely responsive to his students' needs.

My son took piano lessons from Jon at a time when he wanted to experiment with different types of musical expression. Jon was extremely responsive to his needs, and worked with him on everything from improvisation, to jazz licks to a Brahms ballade. Jon understands that teaching music is not a "one-size-fits-all" endeavor, and draws on his wide range of musical experience to tailor a program that's right for your child. He is an extremely talented musician and a dedicated, caring teacher.

My stepson took drum lessons with Jon for at least three years. I was impressed with my kid's progress on his drum set. Jon is so passionate about music, and I could see my son really connect to Jon easily. Jon was very available to discuss schedule changes and is a very nice down to earth guy. I highly recommend him.

Amazing teacher and all around phenomenal artist!

I took lessons from Jon for over 8 years, twice a week, including Jazz/Blues piano, voice, theory, and even drums. Let me first say that Jon is an all-around amazing artist that can master many instrument or genre of music. Taking lessons with him was something I looked forward to every week. He was an expert in all things jazz and blues, and really explained the theory and techniques well. I learned so much from him over those years that I can never repay. Unfortunately, he moved away to Cali, and I have not yet found a replacement that even comes close. I highly recommend Jon for music lessons in any instrument.

The modern DAW is such a powerful tool but can be a bit intimidating when you first start with it. There's an endless amount of possibilities and it can be difficult to know where to even start. I've recorded with artists like Jim Keltner (The Traveling Wilburys/Bob Dylan), Fred Tacket (Little Feat), MAX, and Gnash. I've also written and produced hundreds of songs for myself, TV commercials, other artists and songs I've worked on have accumulated millions of plays online. Allow me to share my knowledge with you, both technical and creative. Let's make some great music!

About Zach
“I have a passion for music and my greatest goal in life is to share that passion one way or another.”

Zach P. started his musical journey before he could speak with his father starting his ear-training as a toddler. He’s taught all levels of guitar, piano and voice for several years. He graduated with a Bachelors in Music and Mathematics from Cal State: Long Beach and the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music. He’s performed in various groups for nearly two decades, headlining in venues across the US such as The House of Blues, Hard Rock Hotel and others. He’s written and recorded songs that have received hundreds of thousands of streams, were used in major network commercials and placed on national top 100 radio charts. He's worked with artists like MAX, Gnash, Jim Keltner (The Traveling Wilburys, Bob Dylan) and Fred Tacket (Little F
eat).

*** Lesson Details ***
Every student is unique, so I create a unique lesson plan to fit the interests and ability of each my students. My main focus while teaching is creating a safe and fun environment for my students. While learning a musical instrument or skill requires a fair amount of technical knowledge and discipline, it should also be fun and engaging. You won’t practice if you don’t like what you’re doing! I like to give students tools that allow them to be creative and play around. This gives them an opportunity to naturally develop their own unique musical voice which technical study and practice will only enrich and expand.

*** Travel Equipment ***
I bring my own instrument and amplification if needed as well as teaching materials like books, staff or tab paper, and pencils. I expect students to provide their own instruments.

*** Specialties ***
I specialize in rock and pop music, in the broadest possible definitions of the genres.

I first got to talking with Zach back in 2015, I had been looking for an accomplished musician to play at my husbands birthday party. He did not disappoint! ! Everyone was very impressed with his music style and professionalism. Through that connection we got to talking, and I also learned that he teaches music all over the south bay! Years later now in 2019, My 16 year old son had been wanting to take electric guitar lessons, but we had not been finding a good fit with a teacher. My son is very smart and artistic, however struggles with a mild learning disability. I reached out to Zach, and we discussed giving it a try. Zach is very patient and breaks up the music information in a way that is very understandable for my son, and is hands on pointing out the best techniques to help him excel, and stay engaged. My son has been taking lessons from Zach once a week for a few months, and I cannot believe my sons progress!! He actually enjoys learning the guitar and is feeling very inspired to continue to learn more because he is learning to play all the songs he is interested in. MY son is now teaching me how to play some new songs..I am thankful to Zach for empowering my son to unlock his musical ability and keeping him interested in learning in a stress free environment. Zach although very professional, he is a relaxed teacher, and very relatable to young people, teens and young adults which I think makes lessons fun! I am very picky about who teaches my kids, and Zach I would say checks off all the right boxes!!

I provide students with editing exercises and songs to mix and master that we will work through together. We can also discuss miking techniques, signal flow, post-production techniques, ear training, and acoustics. I tailor each lesson to the student's interests and to help the student achieve their goals.

These include music theory, ear training, sight-reading, body mapping, technique, improvisation skills, arranging, and composition. I have 9 years of experience teaching piano, guitar, music th
eory, and ear training to students of all ages, levels, and musical backgrounds, including students with special needs.

I am currently completing my Masters degree at University of California, Irvine. Summer is fantastic. We first had her as an in-home instructor in Manhattan, and now that she has moved to California, we have her online. She is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about music, has introduced the kids to different genres, music theory and online music practice apps to keep them engaged and learning. She gives them homework "listening assignments" to help develop their ear for music. The kids have grown so much in their love of music and their ability to sight-read, play and understand music theory.

ound recording and reproduction is an electrical or mechanical inscription and re-creation of sound waves, such as spoken voice, singing, instrumental music, or sound effects. The two main classes of sound recording technology are analog recording and digital recording. Acoustic analog recording is achieved by a small microphone diaphragm that can detect changes in atmospheric pressure (acoustic sound waves) and record them as a graphic representation of the sound waves on a medium such as a phonograph (in which a stylus senses grooves on a record). In magnetic tape recording, the sound waves vibrate the microphone diaphragm and are converted into a varying electric current, which is then converted to a varying magnetic field by an electromagnet, which makes a representation of the sound as magnetized areas on a plastic tape with a magnetic coating on it. Analog sound reproduction is the reverse process, with a bigger loudspeaker diaphragm causing changes to atmospheric pressure to ...

About George
I am so glad you’re here!

The music lessons for young children are full of fun, interactive activities with iPads apps and traditional methods that not only help develop a strong musical foundation and build essential life skills, but offer a unique bonding experience for you and your child.

Discover for yourself why families love my innovative music lessons for kids.

YES! Music Matters!

The curriculum is built on research that proves MUSIC MATTERS. Music affects virtually every aspect of development and when young children are consistently engaged by music during the “musical window” they benefit at many levels.

What about private lessons?

Do I believe in private lessons? You bet! But I know from experience that private lessons are most valuable for older kids who have the ability to concentrate in a one-to-one setti
ng.

With this Private setting you will have a solid foundation in keyboard skills and music theory and typically excel quickly in their continued music education and when learning other instruments. The education and experiences a child has in my music program sets them up for success with private instruction.

Music Program

Builds spatial-temporal reasoning skills critical for greater success in math and science studies.

Music students out-perform non-music students on achievement tests in reading and math.

Music students receive more academic honors and awards than non-music students.

Develops social and emotional skills including the ability to relate to others and better express ideas, and less likely to have behavior/discipline problems.

I offer up to 2 recitals a year so that you can perform everything you know.

Feel free to reach out and let's setup some lessons.

Thank you, George F.

I personally think he went above and beyond for my Son first class and for our first introduction. He offered a more modern approach method of teaching music and Piano to my son who so far seem more receptive in learning and practicing. Will se where that take us but I am very please so far.

About Jason
I've been playing and studying guitar for 17 years as well as teaching for 14. I grew up in Minnesota and started playing guitar when I was 13 years old. Self-taught for three years, I developed a passion and love for music. Upon turning 16, I expanded my knowledge studying with a local guitarist, a musical genius in my opinion, who made a huge impact on my playing. In the fall of 2007 I relocated to Los Angeles to attend Musicians Institute for guitar performance. I graduated in 2009.

Over the course of the last 10 years+ I've been a part of many different live performing bands and currently work with my original bands Delphian and Smoke Hollow. A full song from Smoke Hollow can be heard in the photo/video section below off of our debut album. Delphian can be seen and heard featured on screen in the major motion picture Mike Judge f
ilm “Extract”. I study, perform and have vast knowledge in the styles of blues, classical, country, folk, jazz, metal and rock n' roll. Everyday as I continue to grow as a teacher and musician, so does my love for the guitar. I very much enjoy sharing my knowledge and seeing each of my students progress and grow as musicians.

I teach people how to use Garageband and Logic Pro X to do basic MIDI writing and recording their own songs from start to finish.

About Cody
With my two Bachelor's degrees in Music Composition and Technology, I began tutoring students in piano, voice, and composition as it was part of my training. I also have experience writing and editing essays, books, and more for several independent clients. I have experience writing my own books as well. I have written two so far, but am getting ready to write a third. I am a copious editor and can catch grammatical and other errors with ease. This is why tutoring in English would be great for me.
I thought I would add basic math for those school-aged children that are having a little trouble with it in their classes.
Usually, I teach lessons in my home in Diamond Bar or online, but if the need arises, I could surely work out coming to the students' homes for one-on-one tutoring help. With me, most students click after a few lessons and
understand what they couldn't in the classroom. I help the students by teaching in innovative ways that will catch their attention more than standard teaching methods. Students should consider me for I can make learning fun and never a chore!

*** Lesson Details ***
I use a wide variety of techniques to sing, play piano and other instruments. Techniques include straight vowel singing (no words) to test how long to hold notes, using color to help people sight read, using improvisational techniques in order to play jazz, rock, classical and many other styles of music.
I use what they student has under his or her belt as a starting point to see what lessons we could start them on.
I also assist with online lessons to make transportation a thing of the past. If you've got a webcam or Skype, I can do long-distance lessons with you! So, I am here to help!

*** Studio Equipment ***
Alesis Recital Keyboard
Music sheets
Web cam
Mac computer (MacBook Pro)
Finale music notation software to help in composition and theory lessons.

*** Travel Equipment ***
Music paper for away lessons.
Finale for composition and music theory lessons.
Can use macbook for more elaborate teaching or demonstration if need be.

*** Specialties ***
I do teach classical composition with specialties in ensemble and chamber music. I also specialize in songwriting for pop and other media.
I teach voice and vocal techniques of sacred choral and vocal music.
I teach classical and jazz piano and improvisation. I also have the distinction in being able to teach students with special needs or learning disabilities as I have a mild form of cerebral palsy and understand what students with special needs go through.

Parker definitely knows Ableton and production really well. He came up with a plan for me, which is something I don't see from other instructors. Other instructors just wing it through each lesson. He is definitely fun to chat with during the lesson and seems really down-to-earth. He's also helped me develop as an artist, so if you need guidance, he can help. He's active in the industry, so he can help connect you with other talented artists. As someone who's making a living in the music industry, he is always hustling from gig to gig, so you might need to be a flexible in lesson scheduling.

Parker has such a great ear, which is the most essential part of audio engineering. He has taught me countless ways to improve depth, clarity, and loudness in my mixdowns. He is well-rounded as an instructor and able to articulate even the hardest lessons. He is the perfect instructor for a beginner, and even an expert. Give him a go if you're looking to improve your music!

Was very informative and clear in his instruction. He taught me about compression, some eq lessons, and other basic skills in ableton in a single lesson. Never got lost or overloaded, and still use all the information I learned from him on a daily basis. Highly personable and has a calming work flow. Definitely reccomend.
