Character development, objectives, actions, dialogue interpretation, stage movement: just to name a few of the skills we will be studying and honing. We will work on monologues and scenes to explore a variety of acting styles. And if it's Musical Theater you enjoy, we will unpack the elements in that genre, and prep you for auditions. Howdy! I'm a recent college grad with formal experience in directing, instructing, and theory-based research. My theatrical focus is 'trauma art', or the performance of physically and or emotionally intensive material. Whether it's learning how to portray a realistic villain or how to perform difficult material safely, I've got it covered. I believe that the best effort is possible through giving the most empathy and love you have as a human. My lessons will involve learning how to approach these issues, along with consent and sensitivity training, to ensure that you aren't afraid of anything put in front of you. It'll be a low-stress, easy going environment. The emphasis will be learning how to love what is often unloved in theatre. Thank you so much.

I have a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from UC Irvine, completed the Summer Training Congress at The American Conservatory theatre, and Studied acting at the San Francisco Ruth Asawa School of the Arts High School. I've performed at The San Diego Symphony, La Jolla Playhouse's WoW Festival, and Comic-Con immersive shows. I enjoy seeing students develop new skills. My favorite thing is seeing it "click" for a student in understanding how easy it can be with work and practice. A respect for acting is necessary while not taking ourselves too seriously. Whatever you're looking for in an acting teacher, I can provide the knowledge, encouragement, and support you need.

Private acting lessons will be primarily focused on coaching audition materials and techniques. Materials include monologues, sides, scenes from plays, etc. Techniques include voice clarity and projection, enunciation, facial expression, emotion, character development, and more.
