Teaching since 1970
I received a TESOL (Teaching English as a Second Language) in 1986 through UC Berkeley Extension and taught at Galileo High School in San Francisco. I also tutored intermediate students from 1986-1988 and taught in Mexico for several months in 2005. In 2011, I came to the International Refugee Committee and for 3 years taught ESL to level 1 students, many from African, Middle Eastern, and other countries who spoke no English at all when they enrolled. I teach students of any age.
I have taught many different kinds of subjects, eg., piano, ESL, Drug and Alcohol Education, and foster care parenting, in the past. Mostly, though, I have taught piano and ESL, my first and greatest loves, starting in the 70's and 80's. I develop special relationships with all of my students,

Using videos and reading practice, I can help you learn to find where the English vowels are in the mouth and how English speakers pronounce, connect and flow when speaking. I'll be honest, you have to devote time daily (10-15 min a day) to practicing. You will be retraining your articulation muscles and daily practice is the best method. I can't practice for you.

Ciao/ Hello! My name is Francesca. I was born and raised in Italy. I have been teaching Italian since 2008 at levels ranging from beginner to advanced and to all ages. My lessons are fun, dynamic, and flexible. They intended to develop speaking, listening, writing and reading skills and offer fun conversation on a variety of topics.
